You get what you pay for. Persistant issues with the room keys. Both keys, both days. Don't choose this hotel for the "pool", you WILL be disappointed. Just need a quick place to lay your head for cheap? This is your place.

At first glance everything was fine, once you look closely you see the hotel needs a face lift. I wasn't expecting anything spectacular (you get what you pay for). The bed was comfortable and the shower water was hot... I was happy. Overslept so didn't get breakfast.

The first unnerving thing was the entry to the hotel. One way in one way out and a 20 minute re-entry attempt if you miss it the first time. There was no air circulating in the hallway so it was humid, sticky, and you could smell everything in the air. The room was of nice size but the refrigerator did not work and they failed to address the issue until […] midnight the night before we were to leave. Maybe I'm new to this but I was under the impression that sheets are to be changed daily. Not here (bring your own)! Or a black light. After paying for 2 nights, we found that our keys would not work after the first night. The pool had an oily residue similar to boiled pork layered across the top but the other guest didn't seem to mind. The service could have been better, much better. we were in town for a gym meet. picked this out online because of the price and the indoor pool. when we checked in at 5:30 that night, we went up to the room and it hasn't been cleaned. we had to go down and request another room. the bathroom ceiling had paint peeling above the shower. the toilet seat only had one screw in, so it wobbled. the seat […] itself had a big chip in it--all I could think about was the bacteria harboring in it. the microwave exterior had some kind of grease all over it. the walls were dirty. the beds seemed clean enough linen-wise. the pool: not heated, the pump wasn't on--there was hair and other stuff floating on top of the water--it was gross. pay some extra money and stay somewhere else...this isn't worth the discount. WE CHOSE THIS HOTEL, EVEN THOUGH IT WAS A FEW DOLLARS HIGHER THAN 2 OTHER AREA HOTELS, BECAUSE WE HAD A CHILD AND WANTED A HOT BREAKFAST, WHICH IT ADVERTISED. I ALSO ASKED AT CHECK IN, JUST TO BE SURE, AND WAS TOLD, "OH YES WE HAVE BISCUITS AND GRAVY AND SCRAMBLED EGGS" IN THE A.M. WE WENT DOWN WE FOUND STEAMED BISCUITS, SOME QUARTER SIZED DONUTS COLD […] CEREAL AND BREAD TO TOAST. WHEN WE COMPLAINED WE WERE TOLD THE TRUCK THAT BRINGS THE HOT ITEMS DIDN'T COME. the pool was dirty. the beds were horrible. we arrived late on the day of check in. the front office was locked and no one at the desk window. not a good section of town. my daughter left her ipod at the hotel we called that same day and of course no one could be honest enough to turn it into the front desk. Our GPS had a hard time routing us to this place. For some reason, it takes a lot of twists and turns to get to the one-way street it is located on. This hotel is located in a questionable neighborhood--we had to drive through it because of the unclear location.

The hotel is showing it's age. It needs some freshening up with paint, wallpaper, new furniture and tile. The pool is small and the chair I sat in was broken. The "couch" in our room had holes in the upholstery and the curtains in the room did not close completely. I had to use some of our personal items to hold the curtains closed at the window edges. […] The breakfast was decent and better than I'd thought it would be based on the room.
