Husa Dimar - Valencia

We always stay at this hotel when in Valenca. Great location and the room include a small mini bar refrigerator that you can put a few things in along with a coffee pot to heat up hot water for tea or coffee. We request a room on the one of the top floors to avoid any street noise and it's always very quiet.

This really seems like a 3 star hotel. The rooms are exactly as pictured, which is a good thing and they are clean. Amenities are what is lacking. You get two bath towels, s hand towels. Wash cloths do not exist. One morning I left a note for the maid asking for 2 more hand towels. I did not get them. I even had to ask for soap, housekeeping didn't […] leave a new bar (a tiny little square of soap) on day 2 even though there was none left in the room. The air conditioning in the rooms works well, but when you leave the room the air turns off. This is because you have to leave your keycard in a power slot next to the door. This turns on the lights and air. Ask for an extra key so you can leave one in the slot at all times. Otherwise you will return to your room and it will be boiling! Also the hallways of the hotel are not air conditioned and it is very uncomfortable making your way to your room. There is one phone very basic small phone in the room, so you don't know which extensions to dial for what you need. The buffet breakfast is pretty good, although not sure it is worth 12 euros. The gentleman who runs the breakfast was very nice and helpful. The front desk staff was mixed. A few were very friendly and helpful and a few acted as if they couldn't be bothered to answer my questions. If this was a 3 star hotel my review would be better, but it just did not live up to a 4 star hotel. Read more

Hotel Dimar nicely renovated a few years ago, rooms fairly spacious by Euro standards, comfortable bedding, nice bathroom. Good breakfast buffet selection in classy eating area overlooking the Gran Via. Friendly staff. While the room was a little on the small size, (bathroom was sizable) the only other complaint was that the window looked out on a dank charmless inner courtyard that was shared with other buildings. Also meant balcony was off-limits to us.

Well located for the Turia park, decent sized rooms and pretty quite considering the main road in front (but best to ask for one of the higher or backward facing rooms if noise is an issue. Reception very helpful, good also that you could hire bikes (competitively priced) from the hotel itself.

Min første tur til Valencia, og ved dette hotellet var vi i gangavstand til sentrum og gamlebyen. Vi gikk også til operaen og akvariet.
