We really enjoyed our stay. We stayed for a week and were glad to find a hotel right in the heart of Times Square. The service was definitely top notch! The front desk was courteous and the concierge was very helpful, recommending great shows and restaurants. Our room was nice. It could've been a little larger. But the bathroom was a good size and the size of the TV's and the fact that they played HD was a bonus. Also, the bed was quite comfortable. The cleaning staff did a fine job of keeping up the room. I'll definitely recommend this hotel to others.

Finding a "GOOD THING" these days can get harder and harder. For this reason when you come across a 'good thing" it is priceless. One of the most recent "good things " that I have come across is the PARAMOUNT hotel in Times Square. The first thing that I leave the hotel impressed by is the professionalism and commitment that is demonstrated by the staff. Starting with the front desk where I was checked in by Catherine and continuing until the driver which I received at the hotel hands me my luggage at the airport. Catherine followed the details of my visit until the moment I checked out. The only dislike that I had which eventually i got over was the view of the alley where the boiler or some loud machine was placed. I know that from now on I will request a room that faces anywhere but there. If you are going to New York and plan on taking in Broadway there could not be a more perfect location. I love this hotel so much I find myself wanting to travel to NYC more. I cannot wait until my next visit to the PARAMOUNT which I hope will be in the next few weeks.

My wife and I have stayed at the Courtyard in Mahwah three of the last four years to attend the NEAF astronomy show at the Rockland Community College in Suffern, just a few minutes away. We've always had good a experience and this stay was no different. The recent renovations definitely spruced the hotel up. The pool and spa area was nice, although the acoustics in the room left my ears ringing after a group of children in the pool were not using their "indoor voices." Our room was very clean, everything worked well, including the internet connection (which is a wired connection) and having a Dunkin Donuts right next door makes a stay here worthwhile in my humble opinion! Just grab a coffee and a bagel sandwich and go. The rates are competitive with other hotels in the area. If someone on here rates the hotel low, they must be comparing it to a five-star city hotel or maybe a destination resort. It's not that, but it is a clean and decent place to stay while traveling for business or short-term pleasure. I believe we will stay there again next year.

Very nice hotel, within walking distance to subway for access to Manhattan (take the 7 or E and you can get to grand central, times square, penn station). Just a few blocks to local restaraunts. The room was very clean, excellent staff, free shuttle to subway. Overall an excellent place to stay if your touring new york city. One note, if you are considering a "view room" save your money, the view is obstructed by a number of taller buildings (the hotel is only 7 floors). Overall an excellent experience and I would definitely stay again, especially at the rate because of the new hotel discount. If you plan to take a cab from the hotel call one yourself because the service the hotel uses charges a flat rate to specific areas and you can get a cab on your own for cheaper generally.

"Hotel to stay when going to NYC"
This was a great hotel to stay in when visiting NYC. It's right across from the Meadowlands and NJ bus station that brings you to Port Authority for approximately $4 and 15min ride. The bus ride made quite a few stops in New Jersey, which I don't believe the bus from Secaucas hotels do, but it was fine. It still saves on driving into the city, has free […] parking and much cheaper rates then the city. The hotel was very clean and comfortable - a typical Hampton Inn. The staff was friendly and there was the typical free breakfast in the a.m. plus free wifi and 2 public computers to use. It was nice coming back from a day in the city and making a cup of hot chocolate to take back to the room. I highly recommend this hotel as a place to stay when going to NYC. Also, the front desk had written info to hand out on the NJ bus to Port Authority, so that was very helpul. Read more
"Great Location for games/concerts"
Very satisfied with our stay, we were going to a concert at the Izod Center. Very close by, and hotel offers a complimentary shuttle. However, the shuttle ends at 11, concert ended at 10:50, so we had to run in order to catch the shuttle, and some people werent so lucky. "Easy Access to Manhattan- good price."
This is the second time that I have stayed at the Hampton Inn. The Hotel is right across the road from the Meadowlands. There is a bus about every 15 minutes from in front of the hotel going to the port authority in Manhattan. The rooms are clean and the staff is friendly. My wife and son stayed here for a weekend trip to NYC. There is a bus stop right across the street to take you to NYC. Great hotel, excellent staff, clean and comfortable rooms, good breakfast! We will stay here again! We had a fantastic weekend!

"Great hotel"
Excellently managed hotel. Breakfast is included and very nice touch. The hotel is managed very nicely, front desk is helpful and increadibly organized. They have handouts with bus schedules for everyday of the week.
"Nothing Fancy but Great for the Price"
The hotel was nothing fancy however the price was right. The continental breakfast was perfect and was a big part in deciding to stay as well as the convenience to the bus stop directly across the street.

"Hotel In Carlstadt, New Jerjey"
It was a good hotel and location. Breakfast was included for four people, and free parking. We had a difficult at first to find where this hotel, but wasn't a big problem after that. The staff was very friendly, and the breakfast was not to bad. I would stay again.
"Getting there is more than half the battle"
Dear Hampton Inn peoples I really enjoyed your hotel and have come to regard the Hampton Inn chain as the absolute best value for the buck and I attempt to stay at one of your hotels when i can. Your Carlstadt hotel is also fine, with one huge exception: it is impossible to find. I noted on internet reviews that other travelers - most travelers? - […] had difficulty finding the hotel, and in my case, I chased around for over a half hour trying to find the exact location. I even stopped in at another hotel - two, actually - before I could secure good directions. It is so obscure that it fools the GPS - this was also noted on previous reviews. You would do yourself a great service to include very specific directions that supplement the usual boilerplate and indicate where not to go, and what landmarks to look for. With this, I could recommend your hotel without reservation, but if I were telling a friend now, I would say - great hotel, but you'll never find it... Thanks, Kyle Read more

This hotel was a convenient distance (half mile) from the NYC Marathon Meadowlands Shuttle location, I recommend it if you are looking for a place to stay for the marathon but don't want to spend as much as in Manhatten

the hotel is close to new york just 6 miles away and you don't need a cab that's what so great public trans is all you need out the hotel door cross the street 5 minute you in Manhattan 8.50 gets you around trip ticket to and from the Hotel and to Manhattan. a cab cost you 60 dollars one way from Manhattan to the Hampton Inn

This hotel was fine in terms of comfort/cleaness but the travel into NY was sketchy. We booked here for the 'convenience" of the bus into the city. We ended up waiting 1 1/2 hours after its scheduled time. even the locals waiting for the bus were P'd off. On the return there was confusion on which bus to take. We loved the free transportation that was offered to the Izod center for the Britney Spears concert. Hotel had a nice snack shop with good prices, a convenient laundry room, and fitness room. The breakfast buffet was extremely nice, we loved the omlets and waffles. All Hotel staff were friendly and helpful

The hotel was a very good choice for travel to NY, with the bus-stop just outside the hotel. Travelled with kids, so breakfast in the morning and convenience in travel were tht top-choices..

Everything about the hotel was good. Room was adequate size as was bathroom. Breakfast was satisfactory. Staff did their job. We didnt have any issues or concerns at all. Location was so-so as we had to ride the bus in and out, next time will probably stay in NYC, as to avoid the bus. Overall we had nothing to complain about. Typical Hampton.

Hotel was nice as any Hampton Inn we've been to. Two things: Please replace those lame bed pillows, they're done. Carpet felt very dirty, it's a dark green color, so can't see stains.

"Great Hotel, Not so good location."
I booked this hotel after hearing about the bedbugs in New York, anyway, I was very satisfied with it. The location it's not so good but good enough for me and my family. It's easily a 10-15 drive to Manhattan depending on trafic.

Nice location and good rate for location- can get public transportation right out of hotel to downtown. Only thing that I didn't like was guy at check in was trying to sell tour bus pass and was pushing to buy it in few min before they all get sold out. "Perfect for affordable access to NYC"
Myself and 3 friends stayed here during our recent trip to New York City. It was perfect for what we needed it for: an affordable place to stay close enough to the city to ride a bus in. It ended up being a very nice stay. The room was clean, the cleaning service came daily and left our room tidy and supplied us with fresh towels, the air conditioning […] in the room worked great and fought the high temperatures outside, and a bus that goes into the city stopped directly across the street about every half hour. An added bonus was a full hot breakfast buffet every morning with tons of choices and the option to eat on the go. Seating was sparse, but what can you expect from a hotel full of people enjoying a free buffet? A great experience and we would all definitely recommend it for anyone who wants to spend some time exploring the city without dealing with driving in and paying outrageous hotel prices. Something we weren't aware of when we did our budget, though, is that the bus costs a minimal fee for a roundtrip ticket into the city each day. Still much cheaper then driving into the city yourself, though, as the bus ticket price is the same as just the toll for getting into NYC through the Lincoln Tunnel. Make sure you stop by the front desk and pick up a print out of all the bus times, including the returning time and bus number to avoid any confusion. Read more

This hotel covers the main basic needs when you travel with children and from place to place. We stayed in the 2nd floor where the laundry is placed, it has several washers and dryers. Very convenient to move around, not to close to dining areas but not too far. Very accesible from-to freeway. The rooms are a good size, beds are very comfortable. It […] has the micro, refrigerator and LCD 32". The breakfast was excellent, different alternatives to select and they are taking care to refill it constantly. The hotel had a wonderful shuttle service, complientary breakfast. The only downside was trying to get to NY. Other than that the staff was very helpful.
