"Good Locaton, Good Price"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 6, 2012
The hotel was adequate and the location convenient for the event I attended. The price was reasonable. I appreciated the free continental breakfast. The breakfast room--an interior room without windows--is small and was crowded both days I was there. Alternate seating is in the more pleasant lobby with windows! Also at this Best Western, unlike at other BWs where I've stayed, the towels noticeably scratchy, not soft, are either old or require different laundering.
"Good food around the hotel"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
They were very friendly and close to everthing, walked all weekend, loved it

"The Best Hotel on Ocean Beach"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
This might be the nicest hotel based right on the ocean at Ocean Beach. The staff was very helpful, the room immaculate, and the location second to none. I've stayed at a number of hotels in the area, but I won't stay anywhere but here in the future. You can't go wrong with an ocean front suite!

"A beautiful setting with something for everyone!"
I highly recommend The Rancho Bernardo Inn. This hotel has everything, great restaurants, beautiful outdoor ammenities for dining, cocktail hour and sitting in the moonlight. The availability of the beautiful golf course and spa makes this an excellent destination. However, if you are not intending to be in North County, but the immediate San Diego […] area, this hotel is not for you. Downtown San Diego is approx. a 25 minute drive. The service was outstanding. This is a great hotel that you will want to return to. We certainly plan a return visit! Read more
"Rancho Bernardo Inn-Great for a romantic getaway"
The Rancho Bernardo Inn went above and beyond my expectations. We arrived at night, but there was plenty of staff on hand to assist us with parking and checking in. The only negative thing is that it is a bit out of the way and the only way to get there is through a residential neighborhood. It made us feel like we were lost, but once we arrived it […] was instantly forgotten. I would recommend to anyone. Read more

"Restaurant not so good."
Loved the hotel but restaurant food was substandard and overpriced.
"Comfort"
This is a great place to stay if you love golf or just want to enjoy the amendities of downtown sandiego and its wine country at the same time. Love the fact of family friendly and just being there is a activity of its own.
This hotel had gorgeous grounds and spacious rooms. Great staff. It was my husband's Birthday and we are at the pool and the the bartender sent out a cupcake and card for a free drink. Very thoughtful!!
"RB Inn"
All was great but the fridge had not been cleaned out ---they did bring a card, strawberries and champagne and cleaned it right away!
Far from San Diego. Very good only for golfers. Very few things to do around. No all the services were availble.
hotel needs a major grounds update and maintenance, pool area dirty like a public pool, dirt and leaves everywhere, grass uncut around pool area and full of rabbit droppings. rabbit overun green area, more of a pest than cute bunnies. never got free breakfast as promised at check in. just come for the golf , don't stay here, the spa is over rated

"Very Promising"
This hotel was very close to the Wild Animal Park, and by looks alone is a mix of luxurious and quaint. Our experience with their customer service was spotty. We arrived at 8PM with two tired children, and were told our room was not yet ready. The clerk told us he'd call us on my cell phone in 10-15 minutes. They gave us two complimentary drink cards […] for the inconvenience. I'm down with that. So we went to the hotel restaurant on the veranda to eat a late dinner and grab the drinks, but they were busy that night. The maitre'd told us a table would be ready in 10-15 minutes. No problem. We take a seat by the outdoor fire place and enjoy the ambiance. 20 minutes later, the maitre'd tells us that our table is next, but 20 minutes later we still haven't been seated. We also haven't been called by the front desk. At this point, the kids are tired and hungry, so my wife returns to the front desk to check on the status of the room. They had forgotten to call us, but the room was ready. When she returns with the key, they finally seated us at the restaurant. During dinner, the table service was spotty. We ordered the kids food first and it came out quickly, but the entrees for my wife and I didn't come out for another 20 minutes. The hotel manager came over during dinner and told us that they had run out of tents (they had a fun promotion where they would set up a tent in room for the kids). He assured us that they had sent out a bellman to pick up some more tents to make sure our kids could have an in-room camp out. The kids were very excited about this, and we thought everything was going to turn out all right after all. The kids dinners, as part of the promotion, were free. The room was beautiful. My wife wanted to move in permanently, and the giant shower had three different shower heads (the kids were very impressed). A bellman arrived and set up the tent and some sleeping bags. That was great. The mattress was a little stiff for us (we're used to a soft mattress, Read more
"Great for a cozy get away!"
My Husband and I stayed at this beautiful tucked away resort. The entire staff was outstanding, for the entire duration of our stay. It was a great experience and we are planning to return with our family very soon and another little get away for us .We are native's and still experienced the feel of a real vacation.
"Relaxing!"
After taking our luggage to and realizing we had been assigned a standard room, we went back to the front desak and asked that they check our reservation. They admitted it had been a mistake and assigned us to the upgraded room we had paid for. The rest of our stay was enjoyable. Rooms were very clean, food in the restaurant was great and we loved the […] pool table in the sports bar. They had an adult only pool, but no seating was available. The good thing about the family pool was that the bar was located there! All in all the stay was very relaxing and the enviirement was good. We will stay there again. Read more
"RB INN"
This is a hidden jewel. Great with kids or great for a romantic weekend. "Old School" California with wonderful well-kept grounds and mature vegetation. The staff is always wonderful and there are no "bad" rooms or bad times. Spa is nice too. Rates are a great deal for what you get.

"Relaxing retreat"
Feels very private & relaxing - balcony overlooking beautiful hills/golf course. Outside dining was beautiful - spa pool so relaxing - I didn't want to leave!
"don't stay on a hot day!"
The rooms have motion detectors in them that shut off the A/C when your not in them and the A/C is too week to recover the temp, I was in the room for 1 1/2 hrs in the afternoon and it never cooled off, also when I returned at 1 am the room was still too hot! I'll bet that the same problem exists on cold days as well, and it can get cold there, I've […] lived in SD all my life so I know. Read more

"Wonderful Resort!"
This was a beautiful resort. The grounds were well maintained and quiet. This was a family vacation/college visit trip for us. Most of the time we were visiting tourist spots in the area, which were all about 20 minutes away. I wished we had more time to spend relaxing at the resort, because it is a wonderful place for that. It does not appear to be […] kid friendly but they do have a family pool and functions on the weekends for kids. The on site restaurant was good, but pricey. This will definitely be a place we will return to. Read more
"A Very Pleasant Surprise"
Wow - what a nice find tucked into a residential area north of San Diego. Super convenient to the 15. Gorgeous grounds, Exceedingly friendly & helpful staff, Great restaurant & piano bar-- and even better spa! (spa pool is prettier in person than on the website)

"Rancho San Bernardo - a calm hacienda style resort"
I loved the homeliness of this place. Staff couldn't do enough. Although some of the rooms are a little dated, the hacienda style is very welcoming and warm. Food is excellent and ambiance and surroundings are lovely. Would definitely return again.
