"This hotel gives Holiday Inn a whole new image."
I don't write many reviews, but this hotel is worthy of one. The lobby is modern and sleek with a full bar. Very clean hotel. You can choose the firmness ( or softness) of your pillows, and mattress was quite comfortable. The people are friendly and very helpful. Location is short walk to shopping, bars, restaurants and right off of freeway. If I had […] any complaints, the bathroom is a little small for 2 people, and no free breakfast- although breakfast is available in the in-house restaurant. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice hotel very convenient to Bush Library"
We checked in very late and the staff was very helpful and friendly. The rooms are nice, but a bit small. Overall, we were very pleased with our stay, and you can't beat the location if you want to visit the George W. Bush Presidential Library.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Just What We Needed"
A nice place, not too terribly expensive, great location (across the freeway from the new Bush Library and Museum). Kind of a nice throwback to the days when Holiday Inn was a really nice place to stay. The building is old but remodeled and updated very nicely. Love the little reading lights attached to the headboards! And the beds were actually very […] comfortable. Beware of the third floor rooms with interior views that are actually blocked. If you want light in your room from the window, forget about it!! Staff was very friendly and attentive almost to an extreme. Overall very satisfactory. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Very nice for $. Convenient to SMU/GWB Library."
We flew in to Dallas Love to see the George W. Bush Presidential Library. The shuttle was unavailable to pick us up, but once we got to the hotel it was available on short notice to take us to the Library on the day of our checkout. After we had seen the Library, we walked to Mi Cocina, a Mexican restaurant in Highland Park Village. After we ate, even […] though we had already checked out and left our bags in the bell room, it brought our bags, picked us up, and took us to the airport. The Library is also an easy walk to the hotel, and to a nice, if small, shopping center with several decent restaurants. Not the perfect place to see the hottest spots in Dallas, but for SMU/GWB/Highland Park area, it's a great deal. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Does not like Expedia custiomers"
After a long drive from KCity to Dallas and moving our daughter in to an apt all day , we were exhausted and looking forward to checking into our hotel...we had two rooms booked 21-2 weeks prior AND confirmed through Expedia. 1- 2 Queen beds, 1-King Leisure Suite. Upon arrival with my paperwork in hand, we were treated quite rudely and told you have […] 2 rooms; both double Queens. No, you do NOT have a King Leisure Suite....I said, look at my paperwork they were booked and confirmed with Expedia....well, you do not have one, and none are available unless you want to upgrade to 9th floor and pay extra! We wanted both rooms together on the 2nd floor , then we asked for another floor ...well...none are available. You need to call Expedia the hotel rude lady said, they changed it....hmmmm. Tired, we took the Queen double and as we were going to the elevator the couple behind us were told, yes we have King Suite for YOU on the 2nd floor....seems to me they do not want Expedia customer's business. I am wandering if this is just the Hotel or an issue with Expedia in general. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Holiday Inn Dallas Central - mixed feelings"
Nicely done hotel in a good location - easy walking to many restaurants, shopping, and a movie theater, and much more within a very close drive. It's only a couple of exits from Knox/Henderson, a central dining area in Dallas. Issues: sloppiness everywhere. Towel knob on back of door was broken off, towel rack on wall was hanging by failing drywall […] anchors, and advertising messages in elevators had broken or missing frame pieces. Also called room service three times, no answer. Called front desk to get wifi code, no answer. a/c in room also did not work for entire three nights, though I did not report that. I hope these are temporary issues because it's a nice hotel in a good location. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

""Bathrooms not quite up to snuff""
There were a few little problems with the room. The light in the bathroom was not good for applying make-up or shaving and there was no make-up magnifying mirror; there was no bathroom fan; there was no bathtub plug that worked; there were not enough hooks for bath towels; and the sink area was lacking enough outlets. One of the worst hotel stays ever. We were placed in a room backing up to the pool. Very loud at night, kids screaming for hours. The staff were not helpful. We were a group and they didn't offer the rooms that we wanted. We wanted all to be in the same floor and wanted one king room and three double-queen rooms. "Poor Customer Service"
Upon arriving at our room, my wife and I discovered that our room type was not that of what we had reserved. I called the front desk, they said that because we had booked though a third-party(hotels.com), they did not have to guarantee the room type. I expressed that the room did not meet our needs and they said that there was nothing they could do. […] They did not in any way attempt to compensate us for the event. They hotel was under construction and was a mess. The air conditioner in the room had a piece of electrical conduit running to a wall plate, where a pre-existing wall outlet had been; and this was in a room that was said to have been "completed." The hotel is supposed to be transitioning from Radisson to Holiday Inn, I hope they can offer better customer service, but the staff from the Radisson has ruined any chance that I will stay there again. "This hotel was a building site"
The entire hotel was under refurbishment. Being converted to a Holiday Inn apparently. Basically it should have been shut for renovation yet they kept it open and took bookings. Ground floor was a building site, dirt and workmen everywhere. Bar/restaurant unusable due to dust. Elevators crammed with equipment, workmen, boxes of stuff. Loud and noisy. "No Internet at hotel catering to business travel?"
Ive stayed in this Radisson several times as my company has an office in the adjoining building. My most recent stay will be my last. EVERY time (dating back at least 2 years) I have been informed that they are "working on" the wireless internet but it was unavailable. This is simply not acceptable for a hotel catering to business travel. I dont understand […] how a hotel can overlook something as basic and necessary as this. Also, the place has been torn up from top to bottom for quite a while now. I understand the need for renovations but clearly there has been time overruns and it does present an inconvenience. "Construction Inconvenience - internet issues"
This is the second time I've stayed here, due to it's close proximity to Southern Methodist University. Most recent stay: Many things are under construction, so it was a bit of a hassle to get to my room (you need to go outside and through a side entrance to access the rooms, and vice versa to access the front desk or dining facilities). Good: Always […] friendly, good coffee and welcome cookies (in the lobby), and a friendly and helpful shuttle driver that helped get me to a local restaurant and to the Love airport. Bad: INTERNET IN ROOM WASN"T WORKING. This was a huge pain, as I rely on internet to get most of my work done. This drops the hotel from a 5 star review to a 3 star review. I had to use the internet in the lobby. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

I don't remember reading that the hotel is being remodeled. I was surprised to find it was when I arrived. There is NO hotel lobby, just a room hastily made into one. "Do NOT Stay Here"
We arrived from out of town for a wedding. We pulled up to see the hotel was under construction. I had to go straight to rehearsal so did not here the jackhammer until 9am the next morning. It literally sounded as if it was about to come through our wall. We called the front desk and inquired about the noise. The receptionist confirmed jack hammering […] for the remodeling. I asked if I could move rooms because it sounded like it was next door. She said the entire hotel was under construction and it would not make a difference in noise level. I said it was unacceptable and she insisted the hotel notified us by posting signs in the parking lot, lobby, and placing a flyer in our room. I'M FROM OUT OF TOWN. Those notices do not help me make a decision BEFOREHAND. Since it was Labor day weekend/Alabama vs Michigan game, the entire surrounding hotels were booked. To make matters worse, the room was not clean out all. Wallpaper was peeling off the wall in the bathroom, along with ceiling paint hanging above the shower. There were hairs attached to the shower liner. Between the noise and dirtiness of the room, we opted to hang out at a bar down the street until the wedding. It was not relaxing, but a much more accommodating environment than the hotel. The next morning, the jackhammer went off at 9:07am. Disgusting room with no customer service. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
