Traveling with two little kids (5 & 1), we had the junior suite. It was very clean and spacious (paris hotels are notorious for small rooms). Staff were very accomodating, friendly and helpful. Location is great with the RER and metro right outside doorsteps. Starbucks just outside, two malls within blocks and a good shopping area while most major sites are within 30 minute walking. Reccomend.

The room was a little small but had twin beds, desk, chair, closet, and luggage stand. The windows opened and there was a fan available in the room if needed. Good cafes in the neighborhood. Metro station very close. We would use this hotel again.

This was our second stay at Hotel de Vendome and it topped the excellent experience that we enjoyed in November 2010. We were upgraded to a corner deluxe suite for an anniversary trip and welcomed with red rose petals in the room. Every detail of the hotel is first class with a very warm and friendly staff. Breakfast in the room every morning was a luxury followed by a walk in the Tuileries just a block from the hotel. If you're looking for the ultimate elegant boutique Parisian hotel, then you'll find it here. We'll be coming back to this one again. Bon voyage.

Good service and a decent area, very convinent location with a market of all food and goods! 2 mins walk from metro! Just a little far from center paris! Good service and polite reception!

The beautiful Relais St Jacques is a lovely deluxe property located just 30 to 45 minutes from the busy Charles de Gaulle International Airport in the city's popular 6th district, at the heart of the trendy, intellectual Latin Quarter; and is within walking distance of the St. Michel Metro Station, which offers easy access to every part of this romantic city.

I loved the hotel from my first entrance. The reception person was so friendly, pleasant and helpful. She spoke English and tried to help me with a little French when I asked. She looked up maps, tours - whatever I wanted she seemed excited to help. I stay at hotels at least once a week and this was the best I have ever been received in 2 years. The […] hotel is cute, quaint and homey in a good way. I liked the location very much - walking distance to the Luxembourg Gardens and the Pantheon. A pretty long walk to Notre Dame, but do-able and a pleasant way to see the city and stop for cheese and wine. The hotel was very quiet in a safe residential neighborhood and looks just like the pictures. My room was a little worn around the edges but nice, and huge by European standards. I thought this hotel was very good value for the money. The bathroom was especially nice though smaller than many American new hotels. Towels and toiletrees were surperb. "Relais Saint Jacques- hidden jewel"
This hotel surpassed our expectations specially in terms of French service. The staff was so gracious and accomodating. Our AC wasnt working right on our first night and they took care of it the next day and when it still wasnt fixed, they apologized and upgraded us to a suite followed by a bottle of champagne and strawberries. The location is not as […] close as we hoped, from the Latin Quarter but it paid off in terms of peace and quietness specially at night. This might not work so well with young tourists hoping for a night life, but it worked for us, as middle-aged workaholics on vacation. This hotel is well located near the Luxemburg Gardens. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The rooms were modest but comfortable and the price reasonable.
"Adequate, but over-rated - Not 4 Stars"
I was disappointed in my stay and what I paid. At a 4 star hotel I expect bell staff, knowledgeable front desk staff, high quality towels and linens and a sizable lobby. Sadly, this Relais St. Jacques had none of these. Had it been billed (and priced) as 3 stars, it would have been acceptable. As it is, I feel ill used and would not recommend it.

What a lovely, well-maintained hotel with helpful and cheery staff. Loved the quiet atmosphere and we always felt safe. With a RER station right down the road it was easy to get around. I would stay here again.

The staff at this hotel was extremely helpful and knowledgeable regarding good restaurants and reservations. We didn't have the daily breakfast because the price was a little steep. The room was comfortable--a bit small, but that was expected. I would recommend this hotel to anyone!

Very friendly, near the beautiful Luxembourg Gardens, clean and lovely. Breakfast a bit pricey but many patisseries nearby.

This is such a little gem of a hotel that I almost do not want to shout about it, but that would be unfair on them. In summary, amazing location, 10 mins walk from Notre Dame, surrounded by metro stations and only 15 mins, by Metro, from Gare Du Nord. Room was beautiful and in keeping with the local area and style of the hotel. Nice large king size […] bed, well stocked mini bar and the breakfast each morning was a decent spread. "Excellent Hotel - Friendly Staff"
Le Relais St Jacques was very comfortable and well maintained, we truly enjoyed our stay. But what really sets this hotel apart was the very friendly and helpful staff who were always happy to assist with whatever question or request we threw out to them.

The room was VERY small for 2 people, as was its bath. Otherwise, it was a nice place to stay. The location is terrific -- very near the Luxembourg Garden and close to restaurants and shops. We avoided the EU 18 breakfast and headed out to find something more interesting. The staff were all very nice and helpful.

Klart et hotel jeg kan anbefale. Der er småt og hyggeligt med den rigtige pariserstemning. Morgenmaden er lidt dyrt i forhold til hvad man får, men ellers et super hyggeligt og flot hotel. Spørg efter et værelse med balkon, så kan morgenmaden nydes deroppe med udsigt over træerne på gaden. Betjeningen var meget imøtekommende og behjelpelige. De snakker engelsk, hjelper til med kart over byen, kommer med annbefalninger, skriver ut reise dokumenter osv.. "Et flott hotell i en perfekt beliggenhet"
Hotellet ligger i en flott beliggenhet, kun 10 min. ä gä til Notre Dame, men allikevel ikke midt i den travle turist-kjernen. Nok av restauranter, cafeer og kiosker like i närheten. Selve hotellet var alt vi önsket; minibar og safe pä rommet, kanskje litt lite rom, men hadde en koselig fransk sjarm over seg. Sengen var veldig behagelig, og med air-condition […] var det en herlig pause ä komme dit. Bejtentingen var virkelig hyggelig; vi mötte 5 ulike i resepsjonen, og alle ytet veldig bra service (og engelsken deres var ogsä veldig bra). Frokosten benyttet vi oss ikke av, den var ganske dyr, sä syntes det var like greit ä utnytte de mange restaurantene i närheten til frokost/brunch.
