"Times Square Nugget"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 6, 2012
We really enjoyed our stay. We stayed for a week and were glad to find a hotel right in the heart of Times Square. The service was definitely top notch! The front desk was courteous and the concierge was very helpful, recommending great shows and restaurants. Our room was nice. It could've been a little larger. But the bathroom was a good size and the size of the TV's and the fact that they played HD was a bonus. Also, the bed was quite comfortable. The cleaning staff did a fine job of keeping up the room. I'll definitely recommend this hotel to others.
"Consistency. You can depend on it."Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 6, 2012
Finding a "GOOD THING" these days can get harder and harder. For this reason when you come across a 'good thing" it is priceless. One of the most recent "good things " that I have come across is the PARAMOUNT hotel in Times Square. The first thing that I leave the hotel impressed by is the professionalism and commitment that is demonstrated by the staff. Starting with the front desk where I was checked in by Catherine and continuing until the driver which I received at the hotel hands me my luggage at the airport. Catherine followed the details of my visit until the moment I checked out. The only dislike that I had which eventually i got over was the view of the alley where the boiler or some loud machine was placed. I know that from now on I will request a room that faces anywhere but there. If you are going to New York and plan on taking in Broadway there could not be a more perfect location. I love this hotel so much I find myself wanting to travel to NYC more. I cannot wait until my next visit to the PARAMOUNT which I hope will be in the next few weeks.
"Another Good Experience"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
My wife and I have stayed at the Courtyard in Mahwah three of the last four years to attend the NEAF astronomy show at the Rockland Community College in Suffern, just a few minutes away. We've always had good a experience and this stay was no different. The recent renovations definitely spruced the hotel up. The pool and spa area was nice, although the acoustics in the room left my ears ringing after a group of children in the pool were not using their "indoor voices." Our room was very clean, everything worked well, including the internet connection (which is a wired connection) and having a Dunkin Donuts right next door makes a stay here worthwhile in my humble opinion! Just grab a coffee and a bagel sandwich and go. The rates are competitive with other hotels in the area. If someone on here rates the hotel low, they must be comparing it to a five-star city hotel or maybe a destination resort. It's not that, but it is a clean and decent place to stay while traveling for business or short-term pleasure. I believe we will stay there again next year.
"Affordable Quickie in NY"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
We had a very good time and the hotel was close to work.

Very nice hotel, within walking distance to subway for access to Manhattan (take the 7 or E and you can get to grand central, times square, penn station). Just a few blocks to local restaraunts. The room was very clean, excellent staff, free shuttle to subway. Overall an excellent place to stay if your touring new york city. One note, if you are considering a "view room" save your money, the view is obstructed by a number of taller buildings (the hotel is only 7 floors). Overall an excellent experience and I would definitely stay again, especially at the rate because of the new hotel discount. If you plan to take a cab from the hotel call one yourself because the service the hotel uses charges a flat rate to specific areas and you can get a cab on your own for cheaper generally.

"close to NYC"
It was ok...the hotel is a bit rundown but they are undergoing repairs as well.
"close to izod center. awesome for overnight stay"
I was happy with my overnight stay. Everything went well, room was clean, bed was comfortable and continental breakfast was good. The staff were pleasant and nice. I would recommend this to anyone especially if you going to an event to izod center or metlife. It us literally 2 mins by car or 10 minutes walking.
"Pleasantly Surprised"
We booked this hotel about 10 minutes before we arrived. We were on the last 4 hours of our 10 hour drive. We arrived late and the night manager was very accomodating because he hadn't received our confirmation from Hotels.com. It came shortly afterwards. He upgraded us to this suite which I told him it wasn't necessary since we were leaving bright […] and early. Wow - it was amazing. Spacious Full kitchen - about the size of my kitchen at home. Beautiful large flat screen tv and a shower that was unbelievable. Our family of 4 could have easily fit in the shower .. of course, we didn't try. The shower had a rain shower head, and jets coming from different areas of the wall. There was also a bench for sitting inside the shower. In the morning, we went and had a little continental breakfast. The person managing the breakfast was so nice. We had a really pleasant conversation. She said that there was a bus stop right across the street that would take you into Manhattan (Port Authority) for $4.00. Also, I noticed many large boxes in the swimming area. I was told that the whole hotel was being renovated with new bath fixtures etc. Our suite was only 1 month old. There is free parking. Also, the morning manager was just as nice. I would definitely stay here again on my next trip to New York (If the prices in Manhattan are too dear). This was a pleasant surprise! Read more
"Good for a night's sleep"
Clean room and convenient to stadium and arena. Awkward layout, value price.
"ok if your drunk and need a place to rest"
website said free shuttle from redds bar to medowlands events but this is untrue you have to pay to park at redds in order to get the shuttle the heater in the room was broken if someone is in the courtyard talking it echoes so bad its like they are sitting next to you
"Okay"
The thing about this hotel is that it needs upgrading. It was definitely cared for and mostly clean, but the carpet wasn't as savory as it should have been. The furniture was worn, but clean. It suited us for the night's stay. It was convenient to where we had to go, and the staff was friendly.
"Great Experience!"
The Hotel was easy to find and real close to the bus that directly goes into NY (161 I think, to 42nd Street the Port Authority). We reserved the king smoking room. Bed was very big and comfy! We only stayed one night, but wished we could have stayed more. We also met up with friends who had a double bed room in the city. Their room was small and cramped, […] didnt have a fridge or a microwave. Breakfast was ok, wish it would have been more. Basically orange juice, coffee, cereal, muffins, bagels. But they had make your own waffels, which was nice if you wanted something hot. No bacon, sausage or eggs... no biggie. The girl at check in was nice and the rest of the staff was too. We didnt go with kids so that was a plus. Just me and my fiance for a one night getaway in NY city. But just be mindful of when the bus routes stop running (1am or so from the port authority, 3rd floor) cause the seacaucus train to the meadowlands doesn't run except for on game or event days... learned that the hard was. "Jets game = Do econo loge!"
Even though my stay was short my experience at the econo lodge was great. It can be a little difficult to find, but if you read the road signs you will be fine. The room was very clean and included all the amenities one would need while on the road. The continental breakfast was very satisfying as well.

"Exceeded Expectations"
We stayed at the Econo Lodge of Carstadt, NJ within walking distance of the new Meadowlands Stadium. The hotel, the service and price exceeded expectations. Great stay!
"good for the money"
just don't expect anything spectacular for the price

Room seemed clean and comfortable, considering the low price. Common areas were poorly maintained and run down. It appears that they are doing some renovation but not sure to what part of facility. Breakfast was served in an unheated "atrium" pretty crude. Neighborhood is pretty industrial. Dont think you'd want to leave the hotel at night
"Does the job"
Pretty bare bones hotel, with outdoor corridors. Staff was friendly and helpful. After arriving I found out that there is a shuttle from EWR you can take for $15 each way, far cheaper than a cab if you are coming from the airport. I guess I would stay here again but if I was going to another event at the Meadowlands sports complex but it wouldn't be […] my first choice. Read more

"Way better than our expectations!"
We stayed here for 3 nights to go the Bamboozle Festival at the Meadowlands and the hotel was perfect for that. Getting there took a while due to the bus (#161 gate #303 - the bus destination had changed or something but other passengers were really helpful so just ask!)being really delayed & it was a bit daunting knowing where to get off but someone […] on our bus staying there showed us where to go (get off the bus and just keep walking in the same direction - about 5mins) Our room - standard queen was so much better than our expectations of a 'cheap hotel' - nicely decorated room & well fitted bathroom, flat screeen TV, microwave and fridge that was super cold! We thought we were going to the middle of nowhere so bought some food but there is a petrol (gas) station across the road where the bus stops with a small shop and also a Subway and 2 hamburger places. Walking to the stadium was quite easy - about 20-30mins depending on how fast you walk & it is quite straight forward - we found a short cut up an off-ramp which made the journey shorter. The breakfast was also really nice - selection cereal, bagels/toast, waffles etc. Would definitely stay there again for that festival, for sight seeing in NY once the bus came it was really quick but going back to NY we also ended up waiting a while for the bus - if you know the time table maybe that would help! Read more
"passable"
