I was only at this hotel one nigt, but had exceelant service. Allowed me to check in early and check out late. Free WIFI. Towels are provided for Cogogee beach that is just across the street. Breakfast buffet was very good.

Lovely welcome and check in experience. Helpful concierge staff. Pool was very small and had a 'tidemark' of grey scum the day we arrived. This we, reported and were pleased the next day to see it had been cleaned . Mould specks on ceiling of the bathroom in our room. Internet access was horrendously expensive, charged per time unit and DREADFUL. One […] session was waived on checkout because of slowness of service. Please be aware that Coogee is quite a bit away from the centre of Sydney, although it is well connected by bus - a 20- 30 minute ride. This was an Expedia mystery hotel. At AUS$ 26 for 24 hours and AUS$ 10 for just 2 hours (both with limited downloads), I found the internet services of the Crown Plaza Coogee Beach overpriced and too restrictive. In combination with the AUS$ 30 charge for the breakfast buffet, I felt that the hotels.com room price was not a good reflection of the true cost of staying at this hotel.

For our 7 night stay we were given a room on the first floor, which although it overlooked the tennis court, was ideal. It was spacious, clean and relaxing, we couldn't have asked for anything more. The reception/concierge staff were very friendly and helpful and always said hello making us feel very at home.

The Hotel was right accross the Coogee Beach and it was great. The Staff were very friendly and better then some 5 star hotels I stay in. Th room was not that great in regards to it being like a 5 star hotel but the view was awesome and the atmosphere that the staff created made my kids love it. We are a family of two adults and two young kids (8 and 11). We rate this hotel very highly. The room was very clean and comfortable and of a good size. The hotel is right across the road from the great beach and there is a walking track that goes off in both directions along the top of the cliffs / beaches. Very easy to catch a 373 or 374 bus straight into the city - bus leaves from right outside, the trip takes 30 minutes. The staff were very friendly and went out of their way to assist with any query or request. With the great range of restaurants nearby we did not eat in the hotel but the restaurant and lobby bar look great. Overall we very much enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay there again. There's not a lot to whinge about. I stay in hotels and motels all over the country and this has to be one of the superior ones. For the experience it is well worth the value. Fortunately I was able to save the room staff even going to the trouble of removing the mirrors. What this proves is that they do read any special instructions from guests, which is rare, even if they might sound a bit bizarre. Hotel was a bit further away from Airport than expected for first timers. Cab charge is approx $40, but it was probably worth it. Area is beautiful with beach and cafe's and shops. We went for walks and it was lovely along beach with lookout and families at beach after school etc. Plenty of choices for dining options.

I booked a room with one bed as I do for every trip away. When we checked in there were twin beds in a very small room. I rang reception and they said that was what I booked and they were fully booked and there was nothing they could do. I took the booking form down which clearly showed the request for one bed. She again said there was nothing they […] could do. I reminded her that I was the customer and I was paying for the room. Amazingly as we spoke an ocean view room became available and she offered to split the differance of the upgrade with me. We were happy with that and moved. Only to be kept awake for most of the two nights we stayed by inconsiderate neighbours outside on their balconies. Our room wasn't cleaned until very late afternoon and when we used the towels they had holes in them and were stained with what I assumed was rust marks. The hotel management did apologise for this and waived the upgrade fee and car parking fee which, once again we were grateful for but when you pay a lot of money for a nice weekend away I would have expected better from this level of hotel. Great hotel but a little difficult with transportation. Now train from the city to Coogee. Bus worked well. Shuttle to the airport was expensive for a family of 4. The hotel itself was well positioned and was well kept! Nice place to stay and we really enjoyed it! Relaxing!
