I was pleasantly surprised by the condition of the hotel since it's in the middle of a college town.

"Issue with smoking odor in room"

Although the hotel is described as nonsmoking, our room smelled strongly of smoke. HOwever, after requesting a room change, we were accommodated quickly.

It was exactly what I was looking for...just a comfortable bed, a desk and even a flat screen tv. Very quiet room. Internet connection was about dsl speed, but probably a little slower.

"Smoke-Free Hotel that still has smokey-smelling rooms"

Overall, I was very pleased with the hotel's beautiful lobby, pool, courtyard, and guestroom. The beds were comfortable and everything was clean, including a very clean bathroom. However, even though the hotel was recently made "smoke-free", our room still had a lingering smell of cigarettes. It may have been a former smoking room, I am not sure, but it did not smell smoke-free. Perhaps they should do a better job of de-odorizing the former smoking rooms.
