Came here on a beer trip from PA and decided to stay here because of how expensive the places in town were. I was pleasantly surprised at how well maintained the lobby area and room were. Sure, it had its flaws but it didn't smell like smoke and the room was not terribly musty. The floor in the bathroom seemed uneven but it wasn't anything I deemed […] to be a problem. The bedclothes seemed very clean and overall I was quite satisfied for the amount of money I paid for my stay. Front desk staff was very nice and accommodating. It took a long time or the water in the shower to get hot. Even then it wasn't very hot. The keys stopped working to our room and was a pain to get it figured out. The cleanliness of the room and bathroom were dissapointing.

The hotel really needs to be rebuilt, it's that far gone. The rooms have a slope to them as well as the hallway. The breakfast area has a very low drop ceiling. For the money i spent and it seams to be family owned so there is no reason not to keep the place updated.

Not to bad of a hotel but the area beside it and behind it was very run down. Older hotel, but they have tried to update it and make it feel more secure which did help. We had no problems while there and the rooms weren't bad but might would stay somewhere else next time.

Usually we do not mention small things that are broken or not what was promised but when nothing works you have to vent. After a 5 hour drive we arrived about 5:00 dinner time and checked in. I asked for a list of places that would deliver and they said there are none. I was given a 10% discount card for a local pizzeria and thanked her and asked for […] menus. No Menus and english not her first language. We tried to log onto the free Wi-Fi and were not able to so no delivery or menu information. We drove for 7 miles befoe we found a Burger King thru our GPS and got burgers. When we tried to warm our food we found that the room fridge and microwave did not work. When we asked the desk they said so come down to the office to heat it. We were at the end of a very long hallway and this was unacceptable. The coffee pot in the room also did not work. The rooms was large and the bathroom the biggest I have seen so far but nothing we needed worked. We were tired and disappointed our worst outing to date unfortunatelly but management just did not care and showed no concern or care for our dilema. Read more

Was just a quick stop over between appointments. Clean place to hang ones hat, get a good nights sleep and be on my way early in the morning. A couple of minor complaints are; the eggs were over cooked and no yogurt was offered. Dunk's is just a few blocks away, so the day was saved.

the hotel had a funny smell in the hallway leading to the rooms on the second floor. the rug inside the room near the air unit was wet and for myself I like a lobby that has coffee around the clock for guests. the front desk clerk at night was friendly.

There was 2" of dust in the vent fan in the bathroom. There was an unidentified yellow stain on the floor in the bathroom. There were little black bugs on the floor in the bathroom. The shower head was so full of hard water stains, I had to scrub it before I could shower. The beds were springy and uncomfortable. The outside entrances never locked. The staff was rude and the management would not even acknowledge us. This visit was BEYOND disappointing and we are skeptical about using this service again. The smell was unbearable. We booked one night for a friends wedding. We left our dog in the room while we went to the wedding. When we returned to the room we decided not to stay because it smelled so bad we couldn't stand it. Very old and musty. The hotel rates are very competitive and the value for money keeps me coming here for ski weekends. The rooms are comfortable with nicer decor than I find in most motels for this price range. The free breakfast has a wide range of foods and sets me up for a day of skiing.

Right off of 89, the hotel was extremely easy to get to and find and was only a 25-30 minute drive from the mountain. This was a great value but there were a few things that need to be done to really make it a great stay. Pros: Room is large, 2 queen beds, check-in staff (Berkeley) was very friendly, helpful and made good recommendation for dinner, large TV, good lighting for reading, check-in and -out was effiicient. Cons: 1) no phone in room and staff didn't seem […] to know this. Although I asked for wake up, I didn't notice there was no phone and, of course, didn't get a call. Fortunately, woke on my own. 2) toilet didn't work in morning. 3) room looked like it needed to vacuumed better. The econolodge in Montpilear, VT, was terrible. When walking on the floors it felt like you were going to fall through them. The TV service had about 20 channels even though thier own brochure from the lobby said Directtv. The rooms themselves were not cleaned very well. And when we arrived the front desk clerk and I guess the maintenence man where […] yelling at each other, plus thier computer system was nt working had I not brought a copy of our reservation we would not have gotten a room. Where to begin... to start we needed to see three rooms before we found one we could stay in. The two rooms we were shown on the first floor had the worst musty smell. We even ran the air conditioner in the first room for half an hour to give it a chance to clear out. When the second room we were shown was just as musty as the first, we didn't even […] give it the chance. The first floor hallway not only had mold spots on the carpet, but a three foot puddle of water, and I'm not talking about a damp spot, I mean a puddle. The carpet squished when you walked on it. On top of that when the desk clerk walked us through it to our second room, he went right over it like it wasn't at all concerning. At check in we were told there was free, no password required wireless, which when we finally found a room on the second floor, didn't work. I was trying on my smartphone, my sister on her tablet and it kept asking for a logon screen that would never load. Even, when my sister gave in and went to use the public computer in the upstairs lobby, it was the slowest internet she had ever used. Being a frequent traveler to the area, I knew that the hotel had under gone renovations, but the quality is horrendous. The new exterior windows, have cracks in at least two on each floor. The external doors, excluding the main door, don't latch. And the hallway on the second floor feels like it's made of plywood laid across 2x4s. No nails, no supports, just a carpet holding it together. Finally when we went to check out, the girl working the desk couldn't find our information in the computer, and didn't appear to know how to check us out. Honestly the only thing I can say that's NOT negative is that the breakfast wasn't horrible. I've had MUCH better, but for a economy hotel it was acceptable. The thing that struck us was the flooring. The room we were assigned was on the 2nd floor. There were spots in the walkway where you felt as if you would fall through. Well, that wasn't so bad, but when you had the same feeling in your room....that's bad. Then to see soap from the last guest still stuck in the shower draing told me all I needed to […] know.
