We stayed here because we had an early morning train out the next morning. We were very happy with our stay. The hotel is nice - upscale and inviting and the location is very central with lots of shopping and dining nearby. The room was comfortable, clean and nicely decorated.

The best thing about the hotel is the location, almost adjacent to train station and to gorgeous new mall that has everything, including TERRIFIC food court, all kinds of world-cuisines, and good prices too. Our disappointment, though, in hotel, was due to: 1) coming from a lovely Old-Europe, well-priced hotel in Krakow with great meals at super prices; […] 2) inability to communicate very well with desk clerks (I speak major 3 languages, but none worked); 3) hotel was visually "luxurious" but poorly insulated (sound), so we heard every sound below, around our room; 4) deficit of hot water in morning; 5) no ability to use air conditioning despite it being warm (it was "off" for the fall); 6) the outrageous prices for breakfast and meals; 7) (MOST DISTRESSINGLY) the high price we were charged for a simple ride using Holiday Inn's taxis/shuttles--since we were new to city, we didn't realize we'd been charged about 250% of what the taxis across street at rail station would have charged. Location, though, is terrific. Don't expect charm, or quiet, don't use their shuttles (go to rail station's taxis) and go to the food court for meals (top of mall): great moussaka at the Greek Kiosk, for example. Read more

Good quality of room & service for very reasonable price. Perfect location in downtown of Warsaw next to large upscaled shoping mall as well railroad station. From airport by taxi is about 20 min and to Old Town in walking distance about 30 min. Stayed there already few times and will try again. September 2012.

I stayed here with a tour, in addition to a pre-night (before the tour). It was one of the two nicest hotels out of several that we stayed in throughout the tour. However, please note that not even basic toiletries are provided; internet is excruciatingly slow in the lobby and quite slow in the rooms as well, even though they charge for this; and there are no additional amenities such as pay-per-view. It's extremely convenient to the train station and major bus and tram lines, as well as the Palace of Culture. It is not the most picturesque location, but this hotel would work if you are only looking for a place to store your things and sleep. Very cheap 2 star quality with the looks of a 4 star hotel. The towels are the thinnest and cheapest i have ever used. The cover on my queen size bed is so short that my feet were uncovered and i'm only 6 feet tall. The heat was barely working and the room was cold. I stayed two nights at the Warsaw Holiday Inn, and was very pleased with the hotel. I arrived by train, so the location was very convenient...just one block's walk from the train station. My room was very quiet, comfortable and clean. Lots of room to relax with a couch, table and two chairs. My brother and I stayed at the Holiday Inn, Warsaw (city center) for 4 nights while we were in town to run the Warsaw Marathon. We needed a place we could easily walk/jog to and from the start and finish and it was perfect. The booking was reserved and pre-paid under my name but with differing travel itineraries, my brother arrived 4-5 hours before […] me and checked in first. Though I didn't make any notes this would happen he was able to check in easily thanks to the excellent customer service of the front desk staff. Our room on the 6th floor was clean and had a beautiful view of the construction happening immediately next door (the skeleton of a luxury high rise filled the very large window). The construction was really not an issue at all because the window/walls were actually quite sound proofed-it was only when we opened the window for some fresh air did we find this out! The reason I picked the Holiday Inn over any other hotel in the proximity of the marathon was the free wi-fi. Huge selling point. I did not notice though when booking the room that it was free in the hotel lobby but not in the room. It was not an issue for me-the fee for in room wifi was roughly $10 for 24/hours. I only used it in the room one night in order to listen to a broadcast of the NY Jets football game. The only complaint I had about the internet was for some reason it would "time out" or require you to log in every hour or so. Again, not a huge issue-most times I don't sit on the internet for more than 45 minutes anyway-especially while on vacation. I did make use of the free wifi in the very comfortable lobby/lounge and was impressed with the connection speed-using skype to keep in touch with my girlfriend was as easy as it could have been. The front desk was very helpful with all questions and needs. Asking for opinions/locations/directions to local restaurants was easy. Easy to get to & from Chopin WAW airport by taxi at reasonable price. We selected a taxi, based on information at the airport information desk, to get to the hotel. The taxi service to return to the airport was arranged by the hotel. Both at a reasonable price. Payment was in Zloty (local currency). Hotel reception staff speaks good English. Hotel […] is adjacent to sights you can walk to & close to Old Town & a castle (where bus access works fine). I asked the bus driver (in English) to let us know when to get off. Possible to arrange a car hire (rental) to be delivered to & picked up at the hotel for no additional fee. Easy to drive in Poland since the rules of the road are similar to those I use in the USA. A GPS is required, I think, and a map should be used as a sanity check. I drove from Warsaw to Wloclawek and Gniezno and 11 small towns near each and was able to easily get back to the hotel in Warsaw. The large shopping mall across the street from the hotel has nice shopping and eating places and, should you need it, a laundry service at a reasonable price. Read more

The Holiday Inn is listed as a four or five star property. It is not a five star property. No free wi Fi, they were a little stingy with the In room coffee. They also had no cocierge. I spent one night at this hotel. The staff was very professional, the hotel had all I expected although there was no access to gym or swimming pool. The location is right across from a modern shopping mall. At the other side of this shopping mall, the Warsaw Central train station is located, what made my trip next day very easy.

Hotel was cheap, located next to a massive shopping mall, which had a good selection of restaurants, was on a quiet side street 2 minutes from the central train station, and was just a 55zl taxi ride (15 minutes) from Chopin Airport. If you want to walk to the old town and castle it takes a solid 15 to 20 minutes. An ideal hotel for a cheap satisfactory stay. but... BEWARE - during my stay (7th Jan 13') there were extensive dining room renovations taking place between the hours of 9am and 6pm daily, and they are so loud that even in my room on the 6th floor i could barely talk on the phone. It sounded like they may well have been drilling in the room next door - who knows though - maybe they were. Regardless - if your there to sleep after 6pm and get up before 9, then this is for you.
