Very small room for $230. Found a much cheaper on in paddington the following night (Castleton). Unlike queens park it had free wifi. Queens park was too expensive for the size of the room and didn't have free wifi. Wouldn't go back. Plasma tv was 19". Worked out ok because it was me and a buddy but would not go back. Breakfast was good but other than that the stay was very basic...room had no windows. Location is right off queensway tube line (central line) so centrally accessible. Perfect if going to stay 8 or less hours in the room.

The Hotel, was enjoyable. Only small quibbles, which could be specific to my room. The overall cleanliness was very good, a couple of scuff marks on the walls (one odd spot on the middle of the wall, far side of the bed. The linens clean and fresh, bath towels full, only fault was the lack of a face flannel. Bath was indeed small but efficient, there […] was a shelf mounted above the basin for toiletries, instead of having to perch them on the corners of the basin. A point of favour. The room was designated for a single, and it was very compact, but adequate for one person. The "Teasmade" was sufficient, though only 1 teabag and 1 sachet of coffee were provided daily. The room info book indicated 5 channels of digital TV available, (BBC1,2,ITV, and Ch 4 and 5) but only BBC 1,2 came in, others were scrambled signals. The Dining Room is spartan, the buffet arrangement was very congested. Breafast was good, though no brown sauce available. Best to go early or late (7-8, or 9-10), becomes very crowded during the 8 o'clock hour (they could not keep up with table bussing or keep the croissant basket full). The street is quiet street of Georgian terraces. (Local map in Queensway and Bayswater Tube stations showed hotel location). An abundance of restaurants, minimarkets, within a 2 minute walk on Queensway, many of which remain open late in the night. Neighborhood seems quite safe, and clean. The included full English breakfast was a real treat. The room was tiny but clean, and maybe some people will think the hotel fits well with the London ambience where everything seems miniaturized when compared to America. The location of the Queens Park hotel is wonderful- near Hyde Park, underground stations, shopping and restaurants. The hotel was impeccably clean, and the staff were wonderful and extremely helpful with everything. The room was just as described, and though it was a bit small, by London standards it was to be expected. My stay was miserable. They gave me a room without air condition and it was extremely hot in London with high humidity. no fan available nothing and then they charged me for water because I was so thirsty from the heat. WILL not stay again!

North of Hyde Park is very nice and convenient to two undergrounds and a block from the double decker bus stop. The free breakfast is a nice added touch. the rooms were clean and bathrooms were nice. my only complaint would be that the mattresses were not that great of quality but I was able to sleet fine. I would defiantly stay here again

A good value for the price, it is also well located close (about a block ) to food and shops as well as subway (the Tube) and buses. There is also a major park at the end of the street. only caution is the very limited internet access.

We selected the hotel at the last moment because of location and price. The room was very small and not the most comfortable, but also not extremely bad either. Two tiny elevators that only one person and one bag could accommodate. The buffet breakfast was a nice touch and the food was good.

It is located in downtown London. You can easily access everywhere in London by walk or taking subways. It is also very safe and convenient. There are a lot of supermarkets, restaurants, coffee shops including Starbucks within 2-3 minutes from the hotel.

The AC did not work. The phone did not work. My room was in the basement. There were workers every day banging outside our window at 07:00am. Staff took all day to bring an extra pillow.

This was my third stay at this hotel. It is conveniently located close to restaurants, pharmacy's, grocers, public parks, bus routes, and three underground lines. My room was freezing, the radiator did not work and there were no space heaters available. The window allowed a draft even when closed. The bed had several broken springs that caused the mattress […] to dip to the left in the center making for an uneasy sleep. Cleaning staff are overwhelmed, as I returned after 5pm one day to be met in the hall by a very apologetic maid that she hadn't had time to clean my room. This explains previous experience with shoddily cleaned bathrooms at this hotel. This was my second time staying at this hotel and I wasn't as satisfied as the first time. My room was directly across from the lifts and the walls were not very good at filtering out noise. I could clearly hear conversations in the rooms on either side of me as well as doors opening and closing throughout the night. The bathroom was extremely small, […] as in so small it was a feat of dexterity to sit on the toilet without striking your head on the sink. I did however have better success with internet access than on the previous visit, thanks mostly the router nailed to wall above my door. Hotel staff were cordial but not the most helpful. This was my first of three stays at this hotel during my travels. When I arrived in the morning the lobby was chaos between the breakfast crowd, new arrivals, and complaints at the guest services desk. I was able to leave my luggage and return that afternoon for my actual room assignment which was no problem for me. I was given a room a bit larger than […] I booked which was nice. The bathroom was newly remodeled but the only working heat source in the room was an electric space heater. Internet is really subpar, be prepared to have to use the PC in the lobby if you want a solid connection and it is a fee per hour (but a rather reasonable one I think). There is not enough seating at breakfast so come early or be prepared to stand. All this said the hotel is a five minute walk from the Queensway and Bayswater underground stations and from Hyde and Green Parks. It was very easy to catch the tube or a bus to anywhere I was going in the city during my stay. Overall, a "budget" hotel that is conveniently located. Read more

I arrived after a red-eye from the States at 9 am; and although 10 people were checking out as I was checking in, the desk clerk said I had to wait 4-5 hours to get a room. Why couldn't they prioritize one of the rooms for cleaning from the people who had checked out? I was more than willing to wait an hour--but no, that wasn't possible. When I arrived […] back at the appointed time I had to wait another 30 minutes while he "checked" on the status of the room. I finally asked for the manager and was immediately given a room. The room was a dump. The website says this hotel had supposedly been renovated--and the pictures looked fresh and nice--but that was not the case in the room they gave me or in the hotel areas I saw! My room had chipped paint and torn up rugs; it was 80 degrees and no way to cool it. There was an empty tupperware food container sitting on the stairs and the elevator carpet was full of bleach stains and ripped up. The one bright spot was the concierge, who was lovely. I stayed in a basement room, with a very tiny bed. I knew ahead of time that this would be the smallest room of my trip, but it was almost comical how cramped it was. Hotel started off promising, letting us check in early. When we saw the lift we knew it was going to be bad, too tiny for 2 people and 2 bags. We stayed in the "renovated" part of the hotel but it was CHEAPLY done and TINY room. No luggage stand so they had to go on the floor. Linens were DIRTY and sheet kept coming loose b/c they used a flat sheet […] instead of a fitted one. No side lamp so you had the overhead light on or nothing. Mattress was hard as a rock and pillows flat as pancakes. Wi-fi is not free and was told this very rudely by woman at front desk. Finally on the last day the shower broke and TV didnt work anymore and when we told the front desk they seemed unconcerned and unapologetic. Only good point to this hotel was free buffet breakfast and convenient location. There were other hotels on the same street, I am sure one could do WAY better than this at about the same price. We had a good stay at the Queens Park Hotel. It is on a quiet street so you can get your rest but Qweensway has shops, restaurants and several tube stations just 2 blocks away. Room was small but clean. Included breakfast was convenient. Staff overall was good. We did have one unhelpful desk clerk but that was more than made up by the concierge/bellhop/maintenance […] guy. Location of hotel is half a block from Hyde Park. Two blocks down was the underground or about 15 min walk in other direction you could be at Paddington Station. hotel was nice but I think I got the short stick when it came to getting a room. I called it the 'servant's quarters'. I was roomie, but in the basement, had a tiny window that let in no light. […] And when I did open it for fresh air I could constantly hear the humming noise of something like an air conditioner. When I went to try and change my room after a nap, the lady at the counter was a bit rude when she told me I had to do that in the morning. Breakfast was free and great. They offered the traditional english breakfast, had cereal, toast, fruit, coffe, tea, orange juice and apple juice. Overall it was a great hotel I just managed to get a bad room. Far from the Underground/Tube, which is how most tourists would get there. My walk was about 15 minutes with two heavy suitcases. There is a closer stop, but hotel personel did not know about it (foreign staff). The hotel does not have phones in the rooms, nor pay phones anywheres outside. Quite possibly one of the worst hotels I've ever stayed in. They put us in a basement room with flickering lights and a shower that didn't drain and flooded. The condition of the room felt like a practical joke, and when we asked to switch rooms the guy at the front desk told me he couldn't do anything and we'd have to wait until morning, so we did. […] The next day we were moved to another room that wasn't much better but at least it wasn't the basement. Note: the elevator is tiny, barely fits two people, and is scarily slow. we only used the hotel as a crash pad. It was in a decent location and only took 10 mins to get into central London. (hotel in zone2) The luggage holding service was really handy and it only cost £1!!!!!! If you need a value hotel then you can't really go wrong

The hotel offered good value for the price charged. The breakfast buffet was excellent, hot and plentiful food and beverages on a self serve basis. However for a couple more pounds it would be nice to have a soap/shampoo shelf in the shower stall, and a bedside table wider than a telephone. Internet was provided at £5 for 3 hrs or £10 for 24 hours of […] actual usage. The former being too little time and the latter being way too much for an overnight stay. If you don't log out on the log out page, you are charged even though your computer is turned off. A better system would be to charge £5/day whether used or not and allow more than one device to access the net. For example your computer AND a smartphone.
