"Just What We Needed"
We stayed at The Queens Park at the beginning and at the end of our trip to Scotland for Hogmannay, a delightful New Years Eve celebration. The hotel is located a long block from Kensington Gardens, two blocks from a street of restaurants and shops, and a short walk to two different tube stops and Paddington Station. It is off Bayswater Road on a very […] quiet street. Big breakfast buffet, compact but spotless rooms, and few loud Americans. Perfect. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
For the price, nearness of the hotel to major visiting areas, and the delicious breakfast buffet, this hotel is a great vacation resting spot. The rooms are small which is typical of European hotels and the staff isn't always the most friendly; but, the rooms are comfortable, it is clean, and near to taxis, train stations, bus stations, and shopping […] areas. I definitely would stay here again if I return to London. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Queens Park Hotel lacked basic hotel luxuries"
The elevators were too small for people, the shower was more of a drizzle, and the wifi never worked. The building was under construction, so perhaps hope is on the way.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Location of hotel is half a block from Hyde Park. Two blocks down was the underground or about 15 min walk in other direction you could be at Paddington Station. hotel was nice but I think I got the short stick when it came to getting a room. I called it the 'servant's quarters'. I was roomie, but in the basement, had a tiny window that let in no light. […] And when I did open it for fresh air I could constantly hear the humming noise of something like an air conditioner. When I went to try and change my room after a nap, the lady at the counter was a bit rude when she told me I had to do that in the morning. Breakfast was free and great. They offered the traditional english breakfast, had cereal, toast, fruit, coffe, tea, orange juice and apple juice. Overall it was a great hotel I just managed to get a bad room. I would stay there again but ask for something above ground next time. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Not recommended at all"
The room was very small and no air conditioning in the room. the window opened onto no view with an emergency stairwell. This made it difficult to keep the door open at night as it posed a security risk. Servicing of the room was very basic; a quick run over with the vacuum and the sheets were not changed at all. The ensuite was basic. The towel rail […] was barely hanging on the wall. A hair on the walk from the first day remained on the wall of the shower as I left also. Not recommended. "Not Satisfied At All"
I have to say that my expectations were high before arriving at this hotel. However, as soon as we went there our expectations dropped immediately. Staff at the reception was not welcoming. They didn't give any details of the hotel and how everything works there. All they gave straight away is the application to fill stating 'this is for police'. Once […] we stepped in the room, there was no TV remote control, no air conditioning remote control. As the room was in the basement, then we were not bothered to go back upstairs as we were tired from travelling already. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone!!! "Right place - wrong hotel"
Really pokey room, could almost touch all four walls stood in the middle. Nothing to shout about at all but its what you get last minute in London on a budget so if you plan to drink and crash, it'll do!Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Grreat location but room is small"
The hotel provides free breakfast with reasonable choices. The wifi will not work with my iPad. The location is great. Queensway is only two blocks away with good choices of restaurant. Close to the tube.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Hotel Quality below par"
Hotel rooms are small, old fashion and lack of maintenance. No air-conditioning and you'll be lucky if you can borrow one of the very few electric fan available for the warm evenings. No Wi-Fi service even if you are willing to pay for it. Bathrooms have been renovated, and was OK. TV's are 20 years old antiques. Breakfast buffets were acceptable. Hotel […] location is convenient. "Budget hotel..worth the money"
Good standard of hotel with modern bathroom and basic facilities. Room a little on small side, but served its purpose, and for the price paid and location then i couldnt fault it! Would stay there again if looking for somewhere cheap and cheerful!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good location and affordable"
By no means the Ritz, but reasonable for the price paid. A convenient location near Hyde Park and about five minutes walk from the nearest tube station. The room was spacious (I'd booked a double but was given a family room with two extra twin beds), albeit with a small bathroom. The hotel was clean and in reasonable condition, although some repairs […] required (my door handle came off). Good value for money in the area. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Very, very basic."
Got a room in the basement. The highlights of my stay were; creaking floorboards, window view of some air-conditioning units and one of the most uncomfortable mattresses I've slept on in years. The breakfast was OK, but the area was extremely noisy. Reasonably helpful staff. Would not visit again.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Nice Hotel, Excellent value"
This is a nice hotel conviently located about 12 mins walk from Paddington Train Station. "Convenient location on a quiet road"
This hotel was functional for my needs in that it provided adequate facilities in a location that was quiet yet close to two tube stations (Queensway and Bayswater) giving access to Central, Circle and District lines. It is also only about 15 minutes walkiing distance from Paddington. The hotel is part of an old terrace of houses and as such is not […] purpose built. There is usually a risk with such hotels of noise from other guests as floors and partitions are normally timber rather than concrete construction so it if you are unlucky noise could be a potential problem. The single room I stayed in was clean and warm but small. The bathroom was fine but the shower head would be rather low for tall people. The wall mounted TV did not have a remote and reception did not offer to provide one when this was pointed out. The breakfast menu was limited but quantity was not an issue. There are three elevators but you should best keep to the main one. I used one of the others on one occasion and I have never been in such a small elevator. It is best reserved for staff. Good value.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We walked into the hotel and were told to wait by the receptionist whilst he spoke to someone on the phone, after what seemed as a fair wait he proceeded to check us in. We were given a room on the ground floor which was near the reception and this meant it was very noisy all the time we were woken up several times by loud noises and stamping feet! "A fantastic find"
After staying in a few dodgy over-priced London hotels with very small rooms, this place was a very pleasant surprise. Good size rooms and I can't believe I got such a cheap rate. No catch - just a great place to stay and I'll definitely, positively stay there again.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Close to where we needed to be"
On arrival of room it was a double when I booked a twin, was changed to the right room no problems, however I would have appreciated if they apologised for their mistake, no a lot of communication on the changeover of room. "Small, hot room"
The weather in London was quite warm so the small room combined with the fact the window barely opened and the curtains hung over the window opening cutting off the air flow made the room very uncomfortable.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Underground cell, bumper cars and Harley Davidsons"
When my partner and I arrived we were served by a not-so-happy looking receptionist. We were given our key-card (which was sticky and covered in dirt) and told to go to the lift and press 'B'. I thought it was odd that the buttons were lettered instead of numbered. Little did I realise B was for basement! After getting in the wrong lift (which the receptionist […] happily watched us do without telling us we were going the wrong way) we found the right lift, which was big enough for ONE person and a suitcase. We found our room and, of course, there were no windows. Having severe anxiety and panic disorder didn't make sleeping in an underground cell any easier, but neither did the loud humming that was coming from the ceiling. It quite literally sounded like someone had brought their Harley Davidson into their room and were letting the engine run all through the night. On top of that, the beds were like bumper cars. For some reason our room had two singles in it anyway, so we used these and the side tables to try and build a frame for our bed just so we weren't sliding around the room with every slight move, but that didn't help much and our pillows kept falling down the back of the bed. We didn't even bother staying for breakfast the next day. The dining area was set up like a school/business canteen and there was dust all over the tables from one of the walls being repaired. There are a few other faults I had with the hotel, but I don't have enough space to write any more. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
The hotel rooms are quite small and very basic, not bad if you are looking for a not-too--expensive place for a couple nights. Rooms did not include wifi which just seems cheap nowadays. The buffet breakfast was better than expected.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Ok for the price, nothing special"
The hotel is what you expect for a budget hotel at this location. Nothing fancy but is a clean place to sleep if you have things to do near Hyde park. Personally i was only there for one night so was pleasant but wouldn't recommend a long stay as it lacks facilities.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great staff but......."
It was really hot in London and there of course is o air conditioning in the rooms. We were at street level so it was very noisy as we had to have the window wide open. The dustmen came at three o'clock in the morning and were so noisy in the street it of course woke us up. Being so hot we could not get back to sleep. The staff were lovely and very […] helpful. Moving us for twin beds etc. the lobby is air conditioned! Anyway another disappointing London hotel stay. It really puts you off going to London! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

Stayed here for one night. Hotel is in a perfect location. Paid for single room but was upgraded to a double free of charge. Rooms were spotless, however lack of air conditioning made the night uncomfortable, due to the heat at this time of year. However overal very nice.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
