"Times Square Nugget"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 6, 2012
We really enjoyed our stay. We stayed for a week and were glad to find a hotel right in the heart of Times Square. The service was definitely top notch! The front desk was courteous and the concierge was very helpful, recommending great shows and restaurants. Our room was nice. It could've been a little larger. But the bathroom was a good size and the size of the TV's and the fact that they played HD was a bonus. Also, the bed was quite comfortable. The cleaning staff did a fine job of keeping up the room. I'll definitely recommend this hotel to others.
"Consistency. You can depend on it."Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
Finding a "GOOD THING" these days can get harder and harder. For this reason when you come across a 'good thing" it is priceless. One of the most recent "good things " that I have come across is the PARAMOUNT hotel in Times Square. The first thing that I leave the hotel impressed by is the professionalism and commitment that is demonstrated by the staff. Starting with the front desk where I was checked in by Catherine and continuing until the driver which I received at the hotel hands me my luggage at the airport. Catherine followed the details of my visit until the moment I checked out. The only dislike that I had which eventually i got over was the view of the alley where the boiler or some loud machine was placed. I know that from now on I will request a room that faces anywhere but there. If you are going to New York and plan on taking in Broadway there could not be a more perfect location. I love this hotel so much I find myself wanting to travel to NYC more. I cannot wait until my next visit to the PARAMOUNT which I hope will be in the next few weeks.
"Affordable Quickie in NY"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
We had a very good time and the hotel was close to work.
""Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
Very nice hotel, within walking distance to subway for access to Manhattan (take the 7 or E and you can get to grand central, times square, penn station). Just a few blocks to local restaraunts. The room was very clean, excellent staff, free shuttle to subway. Overall an excellent place to stay if your touring new york city. One note, if you are considering a "view room" save your money, the view is obstructed by a number of taller buildings (the hotel is only 7 floors). Overall an excellent experience and I would definitely stay again, especially at the rate because of the new hotel discount. If you plan to take a cab from the hotel call one yourself because the service the hotel uses charges a flat rate to specific areas and you can get a cab on your own for cheaper generally.
"Nice hotel in the theatre district"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
Very nice hotel in the theatre district. Friendly and helpful staff. Basic room accomodations but very clean. Would recommend.

I really enjoyed my stay. I experience the best customer service from any hotel I have been to. The staff was friendly and very helpful. I visit new york quite often because I do a lot of business there. I will without a doubt stay here again.

"4 Stars are too generous"
First off everyone knows the rooms in Manhattan tend to be unbearably small. When I saw my room, I immediately when to the front desk to asked for an upgrade that they did not have. Since I was staying for 2 nights, I got the upgraded suite for my second night that was 10 times better. The staff was accommodating but I had to wait 20 min for a replacement […] iron and I had to bring up my own bags due to a communication lapse between the front desk and the bell-hop. Overall this is a 3 - 3.5 star hotel and if they drop their prices further I would recommend the stay. Read more
"The staff tried hard but the hotel fell short"
Location and staff were acceptable however the rooms were underwhelming. The location to scenic attractions was reasonably close while offering a quieter atmosphere upon return. The rooms needed repair, ie., cracked sink basin, shoddy tile repair in bath. The reservation desk handled check-in efficiently however the king jr. suite room we requested […] was not available. The staff quickly rerouted us to two seperate rooms for our four person family to compensate. Teenage girls in one room, parents in another... bonus! Don't know if I can recommend for the price. Rooms need a little TLC. Read more
My check in time was 3 hours late due to the hotel allowing a late check for the people who stayed in the room before me. It was my birthday, so I was upset that I had to wait for my room and my friends were meeting me at the hotel. I wish to the hotel would have called me to let me know the situation before I got there. The hotel’s manger was nice […] and did make accommodations for me due to my inconvenience. Read more

"Great stay!"
Excellent service with a smile! Our room was small (as you'd expect in NYC), but clean and cozy with all of the modern luxuries...we really enjoyed our stay and appreciated the reasonable price we paid to stay in such a central location.

"Better Hotels available for the money"
I've stayed at a lot of Hiltons around NYC area and this one was not the worst, but it wasn't great either. Mold in the bathroom shower tiles, only left me one bath towel the second day of the stay. Front desk staff was very nice, others not so.

"Hilton midtown east- just right!"
Great little hotel...location was great, very close to grand central. Lobby was small but trendy and the room was just what we needed. Staff was very nice and helpful. Walking distance to times square and 5th ave shopping. Would stay again!
"Difficult Check In"
I recently booked two rooms at this hotel for a weekend getaway with me and three of my best friends. The Check In process was terrible. Two of my group arrived in NYC at 11:30 and no trouble getting their room. Granted it was before check-in at 3, but there were enough rooms at this time. I checked in for our 2nd room at 2:30. None were ready. While […] I pressed for a room the check in person was just plain rude. Terrible experience. I get that a room wasn't ready and that the check in time was at 3. I don't get the attitude. Regardless... I waited the 30 minutes and the only room that was ready wasn't the room that I booked. It was two single beds rather than two doubles. No amount of arguing could get me my double room. Great trip with my friends, but next time I will pass on the Hilton East in NYC. Read more
"Great spot for the price!"
I stayed here with my mom over Christmas vacation. We've visited a few times before, but never have we enjoyed a hotel this much and at a great price. A few blocks from Grand Central, this hotel had the largest size room I've ever stayed in in the city. I usually stay with friends, but when I do get a room it's always teeny tiny. This room had a big, […] comfortable bed, nice size bathroom, desk, chair, dresser, TV, and coffee maker...and it was clean and tidy with a nice view. There was a strange sticky spot next to my side of the bed that was gross, but I just put a towel over it. The lobby was really nice and recently renovated (and decorated for the holidays!) and the staff was friendly and helpful. I totally recommend this hotel! Read more
"Great location!"
Very nice location and quality for the price.
"great locale, great all around"
walk out the door across the street and hit Mcfadden's, and leave your wife at the hotel.. holy shnikes.. 10 min walk to grand central, goodburger around the corner!
"Clean!"
We stayed here for 1 night. 2 couples/2 different rooms. It was perfect location for us. Close to GCS & restaurants /bars. Very , very clean. The most important for me. The price was great & a nice hotel!
"nice hotel"
nice vacation in nice hotel
"Hilton manhattan east hotel is a wonderful hotel!!"
Hilton manhattan east hotel is a fantastic hotel. By far is the best hotel that I've ever stayed at. Not only the location was good, the service with friendly staff, cleanness of the hotel was awesome, and the price range was decently affordable especially the time we were there during the Christmas and new years holiday. This is a small Hilton hotel […] but it is very well kept and quiet at night. The staff are always very friendly & greet you with a smile. The location of the hotel is really close to Grand Central Station which made it so convient for you to travel by subway across manhattan. The room we had was small but it was in manhattan do we didnt expect anything huge. The hotel room looks very well kept and very modern. Don't worry because there were no bed bugs. That was one of my main certains about picking a hotel in manhattan. Overall this hotel is a fantastic hotel. I will definitely come back to stay here the next time I return to NYC. =) Read more

"The Hotel Hilton Manhattan East"
I found this small Hilton extremely pleasant to stay in. The staff are friendly and always helpful. I have stayed at other Hiltons but always much bigger ones which made me feel much less personal. The building of this HIlton is actually in the historic registry and it is just a beautiful building. It is only 2 blocks from Grand Central Station where […] subways will take you anywhere in Manhattan. I will definitely go back and stay there. Read more
Very friendly staff. Bar staff remarkable. Wish I could remember the name of evening shift man from Middle East. Thought we tipped him too much by mistake and ran to the door to give us money back. Amazing.

"Comfortable, Convenient and Quiet"
This was my second stay; I was there in February 2011 for about 5 nights by myself, and came back in January 2012 with my wife and son. I love the location; it's only about three blocks to a subway stop, and four blocks to Grand Central (great if you're taking the train into the city). But it's in a very quiet neighborhood, without all the noise and […] congestion of the area around Times Square. Great restaurant (Cibo) across 2nd Avenue at 41st street, and a wine shop and a grocery store just down 2nd Avenue so you can get supplies. The hotel is in an older building, but it has been nicely refurbished. Systems (heat, hot water) are a little antiquated, but perfectly fine if you have some patience. The rooms are clean and neat. Elevators are fast. Staff is friendly and helpful. When we were there, at least, WiFi was free because we're AT&T customers. At discounted Hotels.com rate, this is a great place to stay in New York. I expect to stay there again in the future, after two very happy experiences. Read more

no breakfast included
"good for the price"
check in was at 3, but our room wasn't ready until close to 5. they gave us some free drink tix to make up for it. the game was on in the bar so no big deal. room was ok. recently remodeled. some stains on furniture. for the price it was good. i'd go back.
"Hilton Midtown Hotel"
Great little Hilton. Reminds me of a boutique hotel hidden away in midtown Manhattan.
"Very satisfied"
I stayed here for 1 night. The room was very clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The staff was nice and friendly. Had a great view. I can't find anything to complain about. I recommend this hotel 100%!
"Great hotel"
We had a wonderful time at Hilton. Clen, comfortable and well localizated. We will came back
"DISAPPOINTED CUSTOMER"
We checked in at 9:00 a.m. and were given a handicapped room. When we attempted to enter our room on Sunday, January 1, 2012, our keys did not work. When I visited the front desk for an explanation, the clerk stated that we had already checked out. Can you sense my frustrations as of yet? •We were a total of 4 guests in the room and every night we had […] to call for 4 towels. We were only provided with 2 towels every single night. •We were left with a ¼ of toilet paper and had to call the front desk for additional toilet paper – twice. •The bathroom contained a great deal of mold and was not properly addressed when brought to the attention of the hotel staff. I specifically stated in my reservations that I was highly allergic and requested a clean room. The bathroom sink was unsafe due to the fact that it is loose and provides a hazard for any type of guest, with or without disabilities. •On Sunday, January 1, 2012, our room was not cleaned. In fact, the beds were made with only the white sheets and did not have the coverings or the decorative pillow. To add, someone took the liberty of sitting on one of the beds and the cleaning supplies were left in our bathroom (bathroom was not cleaned/sanitized. We had to call down to the lobby to state our continued frustrations and the response was, “ok, we will send someone from housekeeping up to collect the items”. This is not, in my opinion, a method of conducting business or striving to promote the Hilton name, and as you mention in your response, fine service. Read more
"Great hotel and staff"
Nice size room, great price. This will be our "go to" hotel when we are in NYC.
"Hilton East NYC"
The hotel was great. The only minor complaint was the water in the shower was only lukewarm. My friend and I did not get a hot shower.
"Excellent Value"
Loved the location and cleanliness of this hotel. It was a few blocks away from grand central station, with excellent access to airport transporation and the subway. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The queen bed was huge and really comfy..my wfie is six months pregnant and slept great! The only disappointment was the wi-fi. They charged $15 for […] 24 hour access and the business center charged as well. We discovered a starbucks just down the street with free wi-fi. Overall we were extremely happy with this hotel and the deal we got on this website. Would love to stay there again if we ever get the change to go back to New York. Read more
Very nice hotel, great location, very nice staff. Room was a little dirty when we arrived, and not enough towels - easily and quickly fixed. Enjoyed our stay.

"Only Disapointment was the Valet Parking"
I have stayed at many NYC hotels. This is a fine one in the heart of mid-town. I only picked it because Hotel.com advertised they had parking. I knew it wasn't free but I assumed that is offered self-parking since it was advertised as valet parking. Well they don't have a lot on site or nearby and they ONLY offer Valet Parking which is very pricey. […] I probably would have chosen a less expensive hotel with that knowledge. Other than that, this is a fine, comfortable hotel. Read more

"Great price, perfect for NY"
When traveling to NYC I like to be in a hotel, not too expensive, clean, comfortable and in a good location. this hotel is close to Grand Central, far from noise and the price is great for NY. it is perfect for business travel or medium level tourists. it is not a luxury but in the price category there wont be a better hotel with the characteristics […] of this one Read more
"Hilton Manhattan East"
Rooms were pretty small, but the hotel is close to Grand Central and other tourist spots.
"Not really built as a Hotel"
This Hotel was not really built as a Hotel. It seems like it is a very old, converted apartment building. As such, it is not really comfortable to stay in, particularly for a family stay. The hallways are narrow and dark, the rooms have very small windows, and very low ceilings that give you a claustrophobic feel. There is no real lobby, just a long, […] narrow hallway with a reception desk. The staff was friendly enough, and the location was reasonably close to central park (10 minute walk). Given the rates which are comparable to other hotels, I do not recommend this Hotel, unless it is just for a place to sleep during a quick business trip. Read more
