Everything went well. The only thing that was wrong was 2 other families ate in the restaurant with us. We spent some money in there. The next day they told us we could have had 15% off the bill. They would not re-emburse us. When we arrived at the hotel they only told us the breakfast was a deal. Not the dinner.
"Days Inn in Nanaimo is a decent place to stay"
The place was okay. The first 3 nights, however, my teenage daughter had to sleep on the sofa bed and it was hard (too many springs sticking out). Also, she saw 2 ants on it when we entered the hotel room. Our own bed for my husband and daughter was also very crowded. The 4th night we finally had 2 queen-size beds, so that was more comfortable. Customer service for the hotel was very poor, rooms look old and need to get an uplift all in all a poor choice to stay in this hotel

"Not bad for a place to stay for only a night or two"
Room was clean, entrance mats into lobby of hotel were dirty, the maids could have been a little more quiet in the hallways, all in all if you need a place to stay for the night this would be a great choice. Pool was okay nothing special restaurant was average food
"HOT TUB"
EVERY THING WAS GOOD BUT I THOUGHT THERE WAS A HOT TUB AND THE GENTLE MAN WHO WORKED THAT NIGHT SAID IT WAS TO BE CHARGED BEFORE IT CAN BE USED

"Nanaimo Day's Inn- convenient to downtown"
The only problem with having pets in a hotel, is they bark at all hours! They should be put at another end of the hotel, away from the other guests. This was our only complaint. The family suite is a great deal, and reasonably priced. With the kids in another room with their own TV., is always a bonus.
"Drive away from sights"
This hotel offered just what we required a comfy room, breakfast included. We did complain two time about the nnoise of children playing in the hallway but that would not put me off. We will return.
"Clean and Plain"
The kitchen was small but servicible. A lot of the utensils were missing but the staff were all very friendly and helpful and supplied what I needed. The room was plain but clean and comfortable, and reasonably priced. I would recommend it to a friend.

Good value - large comfortable rooms. Fine for a short stay.
"Not well managed"
The hotel is located near a busy road. The toilet would not stop running. The hotel management was not helpful. There was a young girl in charge of reception and maintenance of the hotel on eve that the hotel is sold out. She claimed that there was no one to call for maintenance until Monday. extremely disappointing experience. The motel across street […] which was half the price was better managed. Read more

"Days Inn Nanaimo - BC Canada"
We boo ked this hotel through Hotels.com and were well looked after as we had a small dog with us and were accomodated and only charged an additional $10 per night for the dog. The hotel room was nice - looking over the back of the property with nice areas to walk dogs. Unfortunately the fire alarm went off very early one morning - we evacuated but […] no one from the hotel told us what was going on - we eventually returned to our room when the alarm stopped. The bed was very comfortable but the carpets throughout the hotel should be changed - they are quite soiled and worn - the complimentary continental breakfast was quite satisfactory other than the use of very cheap plastic utensils and styrofoam dishes and cups - real plates and dishes would be munch preferred - we went for "real food" in the restaurant attached to the hotel for the other breakfasts.. Comfortable bed, clean. Long walk to downtown. Pleasant but hills. Hotel seemed to be short staffed. Staff busy, not as available and need to smile at guests. Self-serve breakfast not as friendly as before and disposable plates very flimsy.

the hotel is starting to show its age , there is small cracks in the walls and there is a musty smell even in the rest of the hotel which is certainly not good for people with allergies. However, the staff was very nice and pleasant to talk to.

"Helt greit, billig og rent hotell"
Rommene er ikke spesielt vakre og restauranten er ingen stor opplevelse, men det er billig. Dessuten er rommene rene. Derfor er hotellet helt utmerket til f.eks. en overnatting før man tar fergen eller bilen videre. Som et sted for å oppholde seg over lengre tid ville jeg derimot ikke anbefalt det.
