"Wish the bathroom were different, but nice amenities"
Weekend getaway. Picked hotel due to location (near friends), free Wi-Fi and price. Improvements: Bed was too firm for me, but okay for my wife. The toilet flusher 'button' was very hard to push in to activate which we found to be irritating. Wish hotel could have chosen a toilet with a more standard switch. Also wish they had put towel bars in more […] convenient places. Hand towels & washcloths on the rack inside the shower stall got wet. And bath towels on the single bar located on the opposite wall by the toilet were difficult to access. Good notes: housekeeping and room service were superb. And the mini refrigerator (think dorm room) had an integrated freezer. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
It was a great stay. Only complaint was the small elevator.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"This hotel was ok"
Apparently they had valet. Other parking lots do fill up so if they are all filled around there get ready to walk.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We would have preferred a larger room.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

Great price and location. Small room but just what we needed. Nice King bed. Giant TV. Perfect for a visit to Hancock tower area. Awesome doughnut shop in lobby. Disappointed we did not go to their famous whiskey bar, will try next time.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great location, loved the upstairs bar."
My only complaint would be about the consearie. She was somewhat rude staying on the phone while we sat & waited. Then we were not expressed with her help.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Good location, not as nice as expected"
The location was great, but condition of the bathroom was not the level as I expected.Genuine Expedia guest review
"$64 Valet parking?"
Was a good stay during a very large trade show. Excellent staff but not so comfortable beds, nicely remodeled rooms but wearing out it seems. $64 per day valet parking? Not a chance I'd come back for that.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Beautiful hospitality. Rooms are compact."
They employees were awesome and fun. The rooms werea little smaller thani expecte, but it was still nice. I would stay again.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Amazing hotel and location!"
Great hotel. They were accommodating from the minute we got there. Our room wasn't ready, so they kept our luggage and even texted us when our room was ready. The rooms were great, bathroom a bit small. But very clean.Genuine Expedia guest review

Easy check in and out. Very nice large suite. Lots to do within reasonable walking distance. The staff ran a 3 question contest on our last night for a free bottle of wine via cell phone. We didn't win but it was fun.Genuine Expedia guest review

Response by Raffaello Hotel Thank you for your review. I am happy to hear you enjoyed the hotel, our staff and the cleanliness of the room. On the other hand, I do apologize for the noisy air issue you seemed to have experienced. I will have our maintenance team follow up and attend to it appropriately. Please return again soon!
Friendly, "at your service" staff. Beautiful boutique hotel within two blocks walking distance of the Museum of Contemporary Art and Michigan Avenue shopping. Terrific roof deck that accomodates indoor and outdoor seating for drinks and appetizers. Coffee and yummy "Glazed and Infused" donuts in the lobby!Genuine Expedia guest review
Response by Raffaello Hotel Thank you for taking the time to submit your review! We appreciate your feedback and are happy to hear that you enjoyed many aspect of the Raffaello. Please return again soon!
We enjoyed our stay very much. There were a few things about the hotel that wasn't great which probably had to do with it's age. The minisuite size was great but layout was awkward and less user friendly. The furnishings were stylish but uncomofrtable. The glass door to the bathroom lets too much light into bedroom if one party is trying to sleep. That […] said it was quiet and clean with a comfortable bed; ideally located; had the cool rooftop Drumbar; and separate quiet rooftop sundeck. We had a great stay! "Raffaello Hotel ROCKS!"
WOW! This hotel is great! Beautiful classic, restored building just off the north end of the Magnificent Mile in the shadow of the Hancock Bldg. Very quiet location - we never heard a peep from our neighbors. More local amenities than you can imagine - cool bar and a fancy donut/coffee shop in the hotel. Walking distance to the beach, Navy Pier, Chicago […] River, Water Tower Place, Museum of Contemporary Art, Art Institute, Millennium Park, Oak Street shopping, breakfast at Le Pain Quotidien daily, lunch at Purple Pig, dinner at Hugo's Frog Bar & Fish House, etc. The staff was very friendly and our room was perfect (the larger rooms are amazing). Always a delight... Great location. Enjoy the Drum Bar upstairs where we had a nightcap drink sitting outside by the fire. In the morning you can not beat the Glazed Infused special donuts for sale in the lobby. Super Yummy!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"A Hotel to Appreciate"
Our experience at the Raffaella was superior. Everyone was attentive and helpful. Although our room had no aesthetically pleasing view, it was comfortable, clean, and well supplied. The location is as good as it gets and the amenities were terrific. They included free internet access, an adequate workout area, and a great coffee/pastries bar.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
This was our second stay at this hotel. We had a great time. Staff is friendly and efficient. Hotel is charming and rooms are a decent size. The location is unbeatable for Michigan Ave. Valet parking cost is high, but I understand in line with the area.Genuine Expedia guest review
Wonderful! Love the location! Simple but elegant. Really enjoyed the upstairs bar, look forward to coming back.Genuine Expedia guest review
Nice hotel, clean with historic atmosphere. Friendly staff, comfy bed, nice shower, small bathroom. Didn't appreciate the $6.00 bottle of water. One complimentary bottle of water isn't too much to ask. I usually stay at Hampton Inn downtown, though this rate was discounted and considerably less than the Hampton's standard, A free continental breakfast […] would go a long way toward making this a great place to stay. "The little hotel that tries"
Location was great. Room was small and our view was of an inside Court with dumpsters that were emptied very early every morning. Beds were very comfy The staff and service was excellent. Only two elevators and they were small....no way around it, it is an old building and it shows. The hotel lobby is very small and always crowded with people and huge […] amts. of luggage clogging the way to the elevators. "Parking a joke"
We got there late, and the garage would not take our car. Then we tried to valet and it took a while. The next morning it took half an hour to get the car and I was late for work. Front desk had attitude. No one else was waiting so not sure what the issue was. Also parking was more than I have ever paid, even in New York.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great location/great staff"
We had a very nice time. The Raffaello hotel was very good with helpful staff and a nice room. Our only complaint was that the room was very warm the first night but the staff was able to rectify the problem and it was comfortable for the remainder of our stay. Very close to shopping and near the navy pier ( a short walk along the lakeshore). Located […] Near public transportation to the sights. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Had to use the stairs several times because the elevators were full. Your elevators are slow and small, they aren't always going in the right direction either. Not sure if I would recommend this place or not bit I had to check something!Genuine Expedia guest review

"Great for In-Town weekend getaway!"
Excellent Choice! We live in Chicago, but like to do in-town getaways. This was an excellent choice. The staff was extremely accommodating and friendly. The room was comfortable and it felt like a real getaway even though we were about 15min from home. The rooftop bar (Drumbar) was an excellent extra! Will definitely stay here again!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
My husband and I were given one of the smallest rooms in the hotel. After completely unpacking we asked the next morning if we could move and was told that if a room became available we could but we had to be at the hotel to move ourselves. When I inquired about an approximate time they couldn't give me one, so I wasn't going to give up one of my vacation […] days to sit around the hotel hoping we could move our things. When I gave Expedia a disappointed text/review, I suddenly got a text from another employee at the front desk asking me how stay was going and I told her. She then said we could move the next day and if we would have all our stuff ready, the hotel staff would move us to our new room. After that was done and handled nicely, the room was probably twice as big and much more comfortable. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

Awesome hotel!! Great location... Had a blast, will come back!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
A fun hotel. Loved the architecture, and the nicks and scars were only a reminder that the old lady has class. Price was reasonable (comparatively speaking), and the service was excellent. Would definitely stay again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Cramped and damp"
We were given a room with soaking wet carpets and had to endure wet feet or wear shoes and breathe in the humid perfumed air all night. The tiny room barely had room for one person and one suitcase. We were told no other rooms were available and that all the rooms had had carpets cleaned that day. After a miserable night, the manager re-assigned us […] to a lovely, dry, spacious room. As nice as the second room was, putting us in a wet room was unacceptable. I would not recommend or return to this hotel. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
