"conveinent airport hotel"
I stayed there for one night. I needed a hotel near the airport. The staff was very nice and they spoke English. The room was clean but very small and there were computers with free internet in the lobby.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Convenient for Madrid flyers"
Reasonable priced hotel with airport shuttle - takes less than 5 minutes to terminals. Typical sized European room; street side have a small covered balcony for extra space. Bathroom was clean and roomy. Desk staff spoke very good English. Coffee and tea available in the lobby all day long. Breakfast available but did not try it. Only downside is across […] the street from a couple of cafes, so hear conversation and laughter if a light sleeper. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Overnight stay to be near airport"
It worked great for the reason it was booked. To be close to the airport for our morning flight. It served it's purpose. Good enough for this reason, but not for extended vacation.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"closer to the airport"
Perfect for the stay over for an early flight, shuttle service to the terminals every half hour.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
I only stayed one night. Good location in a nice walkable neighborhood. Lots of eateries including a Burger King almost next door. Free shuttle and breakfast provided as well as free Internet access. A+ in my book for a moderately priced mid level facility.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great location close to the airport."
The room was 604, but only 5 floors on elevator. So one must walk up 2 flights of stairs to reach '6'. I came out to go for food. Took a wrong turn and ended up in the wrong stairwell. Could not open doors to the other floors, so walked down to lobby - not a problem if you aren't carrying a suitcase. Watched carefully when I went up again, because I […] would not have time for errors with my early morning flight. I had a single room. Room was soo tiny. Bath was soo tiny. Pedestal sink had no room for even my makeup case, and the toilet was not close enough to set the case on it. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Convinient for 1 or 2 nights"
Hotel has minimum required for a short stay. @ blocks away from a Metro station that can take you downtown Madrid in 25 mins. Also short distance from Barajas Airport. Hotel provides free shuttle to and from Airport every 30 mins. Some restaurants in the area, a few Tapas Bars and a Burger King. Chinese restaurant across the strees was good and staff […] was nice. Breakfast at the hotel, if it's not included on your rate, costs 11 Euros, too expensice for Croissants, ham, cheese and coffee. Rooms are clean and small, but confortable. A/C worsk fine and it is a must have if you are in Madrid during the summer. W-Fi worked fine from the room. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Perfect for airport stopovers and shortcity visit"
As reviews indicated, the shuttle service to and from the airport made our stopover very convenient. We had an open evening so the metro stop just 2 blocks away allowed us to ge to Madried center for a nice walk around, dinner and return without taxi expense. The breakfast was just fine too.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Ok for an airport hotel."
The staff was friendly and helpful. Room was fine, but sparse and the tub could have been cleaner. Lots of decent places to eat very close by. They got us to the airport on time and it was pretty quiet.Genuine Expedia guest review
"good place to stay"
In hot days, it is good to choose this hotel before you start journey to Madrid. Convenient shuttle service every 30 min after 9 am to midnight to and from airport. Delicious restraurants with reseanoble price across the street.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Convenient to airport."
This hotel was a good bang for my buck. Close to airport, staff was friendly, room was small but well done and had everything I needed. Breakfast was not free, even though they don't mention it having a cost. That was the only hitch, was I went down for breakfast (I had been staying in hotels prior to this one that included a very nice breakfast) and […] found out I owed them money, it was awkward. Staff was nice and gave me my coffee, then I left to go have breakfast elsewhere. Other than that, it was a wonderful stay! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Best Western Hotel Villa De Barajas"
This is a hotel that is minutes away from the Madrid airport. It was quite and I did not hear any planes flying over. It has a shuttle to the airport which is very convenient . The room was small, but adequate and clean. For a lay over this is a good bet and it was not expensive.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good for near airport"
Hotel is good for its price. It's clean and staff is friendly. There's a free shuttle to airport but you can only take it once.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Tiniest hotel I've ever stayed in"
I booked this room for 2 of us plus our 2yrs 10months daughter. Literally we didn't have any space to keep our 2 luggages and 1 stroller inside the room. We had to use restroom to keep luggage. No, this was not my first trip to Europe. We had been to 4hotels during this trip and we have been to Europe multiple times. We knew what to expect in European […] big cities. But this one was absolutely ridiculous to give such a small room. You wouldn't believe unless you see that. BTW, the room key never worked for us. Imagine that!! Very pleasant stay. The desk clerks were very helpful exchanging currency. The shuttle bus runs every 30min to the airport, and was on time. "The only good thing was the service to the airport"
5 steps to get to the lobby, with no ramp or help for luggage. Room so small you have to squeeze into the desk chair since there was no room between it and the bed. "Perfect for travelers!"
If you are on a stop-over going through the Madrid Airport, this is the hotel. The shuttle runs every 30 minutes and the drivers even carry your bags. The counter staff are exceptionally nice. When we bought a bottle of wine, one even ran to the store to buy an opener for us to use during our stay. We had a nice enclosed balcony overlooking a tree-lined […] street. There were a couple of excellent restaurants within walking distance. Our room was immaculate. The breakfast was unbelievable, as good as any we have had over here or in the USA. "Great airport hotel"
Great place to stay the night when you have a layover in Madrid - the restaurant across the street is good and the wifi from the hotel reaches to their patio. Airport shuttle was great but you must call them from the airport to pick you up. Ask to have the breakfast buffet included when you book on line.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Great hotel, poor shuttle service"
LOVED the hotel; small, clean, comfortable, with a great shower. Great location in nice residential neighborhood a few blocks from a metro stop. The hotel chastised me for […] not calling sooner. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Staff Excellent, Proximity Good, Remaining poor"
Staff was excellent, exceedingly helpful. Room very small and disappointing.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great for the airport"
Rooms are small, if not tiny, but there are a lot of design qualities to make the space efficient as possible. The big discrepancies in the ratings are likely due to whether or not you have a balcony. We had a balcony with windows and sliding shades. Without the balcony the room would have felt very claustrophobic. When booking ask for a balcony.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good experience at the Barajas Best Western"
The desk personnel were very good. One person gave me excellent directions, with a Metro map, for getting into the central city. It was also nice to have a shuttle service. And the breakfast was excellent with great variety and very fresh pastries.Genuine Expedia guest review
"great people, great service"
The free airport shuttle was really great and the driver was WONDERFUL! They were already at the terminal when I called and the ride only takes about 20 minutes. I took the shuttle from and to the airport and was along both times, so the shuttle didn't have to stop at any other terminals. The hotel staff were also really helpful and nice. Everyone […] spoke English very well too, which was great because my Spanish is rusty at best. For anyone with a layover or only staying a few days in Madrid, I would definitely recommend this hotel. The Metro stop is literally 2-3 blocks from the hotel. It takes about 1 hour with changes (I had to wait a few minutes for some of my trains) from the Barajas Metro stop to Puerta del Sol in the city center, but the Madrid Metro lines are incredibly clean, efficient and timely. My room was relatively quiet--there was a dog that barked for a little during the night and they are far from soundproof. I could hear people closing the doors around the hall. But it was nothing ridiculous or irritating. This is not a luxury hotel, but the location and free services--free airport shuttle and WiFi (which in Europe, I have found, is not always guaranteed or available)--as well as the staff make this hotel what it is. "Comfy bed, free shuttle & wifi..."
I liked my overnight here. It's quirky but not charmless. Called for a complimentary pickup from the roadway just outside MAD Term 2 using my mobile (Americans: make sure your phone is enabled for intl calling BEFORE you depart the U.S.). There's signage with a few dozen hotel numbers including Best Western Hotel Villa De Barajas. Remember you'll need […] to dial the country code "+34" in front of the rest of the number. A van was dispatched and arrived quickly. The check-in counter inside the tiny reception area feels rather like a car rental kiosk. Check-in was quick and my questions were answered efficiently. I found the room to be smallish but very clean and the bed firm, as I desire. The bathroom, also small, was nevertheless a standout: spotlessly clean, modern and with good shower water pressure. There were a few English-speaking tv channels, as I recall, but when I landed on CNBC Intl (financial news) my wish had come true. I had takeout from the Chinese restaurant across the road, pretty good. Overhead halogen lights above the bed in Rm 204 could possibly sear your retinas. I didn't have breakfast in the room adjacent to the lobby but complimentary freshly brewed coffee dispensed from the machine in the bar was excellent. I'd stay again.
