Get a room in the back. Downfall is that you can't see your vehicle , Upside is the quietness and peaceful view. Well worth it. With McDonalds, Waffle House and Sonnys GREAT BBQ across the road we had a hot meal everynight that wasn't "Race Food" :)

Was also very noisy. Someone was yelling over the 2nd floor railing at 1am. Coffee maker had been used and there was an old coffee packet still in the machine. No coffee in the room. Won't stay here ever again.

Checkin service was very slow. Initial room had such an odor of pet urine that we could not breath. Second room was some better although the wait at the desk to request the change was incredibly long. In checking out, the hotel tried to charge us when the charges had already been covered by Expedia.

Floor was soaking wet in the bathroom from a leak in the next door room. Very bad smell in room. Disgusting. Stay far away. Limited intercontinental breakfast. Wi-Fi from room does NOT work. The price I paid is a crime for this room. Will not return. Ever.

Due to a mixup, we were mistakenly placed in a room that hadn't been fully cleaned yet. We dropped our bags off in the room, and left to have lunch. While at lunch, the front desk called my cell phone to tell me she realized the mistake and appologize; we were given a new room upon returning. The hotel and the room was on par with the price. The room […] was fully stocked, clean and in good condition. It was in a perfect location- walking distance to several restaurants, near a gas station, and right off of the interstate exit. This motel is disgusting. We reserved this room, because we couldn't get one in Gainesville due to the UF vs LSU game. The sign out front read, "Cleanest rooms in town". What a joke! The toilet had hair on it, the tub/shower was filthy and the carpet was disgusting. I would suggest that you don't walk on these carpets barefoot. First let me sat that the staff was extremely nice and helpful. The room left a bit to be desired. It had a musty odor to it. The corners of the room had a buildup of dust that hadn't been touched in a while. There was a few spots of mold in the bathroom. I was rationed towels, given a mop and bucket to clean up an over flowed shower. Horible experience will never set foot in another quality inn or in alachua florida!

I checked in around 8pm and waited in line behind two people who were complaining about their dirty rooms and lack of house keeping. The front desk attendant was rude to both of them and then called the house keeping manager to the front. When he came up he was frustrated and barked about how it was the guests fault. What happened to customer service? […] When I checked into my room, it was a bit musky because the air was turned off. My wife and I stayed here for a Gators' football weekend. For a lower-cost outside-Gainesville hotel, the location isnt bad. Right near the I-95 exit, for convenient access and a quick trip to the Oak's Mall Gator-Aider bus stop. Also, Main Street in Alachua is nearby and there are some nice shops and restaraunts there. Had a good bottle of wine, and […] an outstanding dinner at a restaraunt called "Saga". Didn't expect a meal like that in a small town restaraunt. Back to the hotel, no major problems, but everything was a bit old, and in need of updating. The towels were tiny, and worn so thin that some had holes. Towels were also stained and spotty. I have also stayed at the hotel next door... I forget what chain it was, maybe Econo Lodge?, and it was a bit nicer. Read more

The hotel is old and is in need of renovations. The front lobby area was very pleasant and well kept. The area for continental breakfast was nice. The room we had was not that great. Pros: The room was clean, had some decent amenities such as mini-fridge, microwave, small safe, TV, an iron and coffee maker. The bed was king size, relatively comfortable with better pillows then I'm used to experiencing in this price range. The cons: the wireless did not work. It would pull up the hotel's access page, but claimed the username and […] password provided "did not exist". It worked fine on my smart phone, (where it never asked for a name and password) but not on my laptop. I called the front desk, they reset the router to no avail. Then I was told they would "investigate and call me back". They never did. I found no RJ45 (network) connection in the room, only RJ11 (phone/fax). For three days I was unable to access the Internet. Given similar complaints by other reviewers, I would avoid this location if Internet access is crucial to you. Overall we had a good stay and I would recommend the hotel. Read more

The pillows were very lumpy, the shower head was broken and there were rodent droppings on the bathroom floor. When I complained about this, the clerk at the front desk was unconcerned (I had the feeling they had heard it all before).
