Very reasonable price, but in a sketchy neighborhood. We didn't require room service as we were only there for 6 nights and we try to be more environmentally... friendly. Not a place to bring your mrs. . If your looking for a cheap place to stay with your buddies, this is it. Nothing fancy, clean rooms, rough neighborhood, but your car should be safe in there parking lot. Staff will help out with anything you need.

I stayed here with my boyfriend for a one-night stay to attend a concert. I would not recommend this hotel for families. It's in a dangerous, sketchy, and grim area. Thank goodness I was with my strong boyfriend for the walk to the boardwalk. The only amenity the hotel has is cable. The vending machines are bare. Our actual room was pretty clean […] (some questionable stains on our top blanket and on the ceiling. The bed was so comfortable! The only modern aspect of this hotel is the misleading nice lobby. Over all it was just as advertised by AAA's, clean and close to the boardwalk. The staff was friendly and tried to be accomadating. The neighborhood is not conducive to walking after dark.

The hotel is ok, not great but OK,, we needed one night to stay in AC and it was fine. We had to park in a lot across from Hotel, not too keen on that but it all worked out. Room was clean, beds were very comfortable.

There was a chain smoker on the second floor. We were on the third floor and the smell of cigarette made me so sick. You should place your smokers on the third floor!

Great time with friends for a bachelorette party. Room was spacious for 5 girls, who packed enough clothes for months. Such a close walk to Atlantic City boardwalk, beach, casinos, clubs, etc.

Room was very clean....no complaints at all. The hotel was just a few blocks from all the action and boardwalk. I was prepared to take cabs to and from my destanations but someone told me about the jitney...which runs up and down the main ave and stops at every corner. This was very helpful. The area around hotel not so good...a little uncomfortable […] but if you mind your business you will be fine. This was my first time in A.C so I wasn't sure what to expect I was a little surprised not what I pictured in my head. I enjoyed my time at the Howard Johnson. It was a three long block walk to the casinos , and one block over to the boardwalk. There is also a small diner located in the Howard Johnson, the breakfast was ok nothing to bragg about.The staff were friendly the price was right, and I would definitely stay again.

The first night's stay was on a Friday. The front desk and the bell man were very helpful, even parking my car. But on the second night, the front desk person was not too friendly. He did come and help out with a problem I had with the TV control. He questioned why I moved my car from a very far isolated location to next to the hotel entrance! I insisted […] I felt safer being close to the hotel than in an isolated area! He insisted I park next to the wall when it was apparent the parking lot was fairly empty! He made me move my car! My girlfriend and I stayed here for a 4-day getaway weekend. It was not in the nicest area of town and we weren't sure how safe we were walking around. On the plus side, it was only about a 5 minute walk to the boardwalk and 15 minutes walking from the big casinos, and there were some moderately decent eateries nearby. The service was fine and the room, […] while a bit small, was adequate for our needs. I would recommend price-comparing at the casino hotels first, but if you want to come to AC on a budget and don't mind walking around in an urban area, it's not a bad way to go. Read more

THIS IS A VERY BAD AREA, ALOT OF PANHANDLERS , DRUG USERS AND ALCOHOLICS STOPPING YOU RIGHT OUTSIDE HOTEL AND ACROSS THE STREET. WE REPORTED THE PEOPLE IN THE NEXT ROOM SCREAMING ALL NIGHT LONG, THE DESK CLERK CHECKED IT OUT BUT IT CONTINUED ALL NIGHT AND WE GOT NO SLEEP. WE WERE ACOSTED IN THE HALL WAY BY ONE OF THE WORKERS ASKING US FOR FOOD AND LOOKING […] INSIDE OUR ROOM.CHECK IN WAS AT 3PM, CHECK OUT BY NOON,THATS NOT 24HRS .THEY TOLD US PARKING IS AT YOUR OWN RISK AND THEY WANT TO HOLD YOUR CAR KEYS AT THE FRONT DESK SO THEY CAN MOVE YOUR CAR WHENEVER THE NEED ARRIVES, REALLY??.WE WERE VERY DISSAPPOINTED AND DEFINITELY NOT KID FRIENDLY. everything is according to the price they have - i mean don't expect luxury and pay peanuts clean, decent, one block to the beach, few blocks from the buses that run NYC -AC, jitney stop right in front of hotel( connects all casinos ) perfect for a weekend, I will go again
