The only good thing about this hotel is the airport shuttle. The rest of their services are weak. They do not provide any other amenities for comfort. No small toothpaste or lotions, and you have to pay to get these at the vending machine, whereas i am used to getting these for free at other hotels. The old school TV, and the poor selection of channels […] do not help either. I will only advice you to stay here if you are staying for a night, and not looking to stay for comfort. I don't smoke, so the smell is disgusting to me. We entered in the side door where the smell was very strong. As we progressed to the lobby the smell was gone. We were given a room close to the lobby, newly remodel and VERY CLEAN. If you can get pass the hallway smell, your stay will be fine.

The hallways stink with tobacco smoke. The "free breakfast" is disappointing--orange juice, fruit yogurt, and frozen waffles. The shuttle service should be more punctual given that people can miss their flights when it is late. My request for upper-floor room was not honored and I was given a room on the ground floor.

I stayed here because the price was right, and they had free shuttle service to and from the airport. The hotel is nothing fancy, but it's clean, comfortable, and the staff is friendly. The bath towels were a bit scratchy, but other than that, my stay was very refreshing.

As you enter the lobby the first thing that hits you is the smell of cigarette smoke! the room had no fridge, small tv that looked about 10 yrs old and also smelled of smoke(it was a non-smoking room), towels smelled pretty bad. my son slipped and fell while showering and hit the sink that extended over the tub-scraped his neck and asked the front lobby […] for a First Aid Kit but they had Nothing... so we used ice!! The worst thing was their so-called 'free airport shuttle'. There is no shuttle (i.e., a regular pick up). They can send for you a free pick up, but you need to call them from the airport. We needed an inexpensive place to stay, and the Super 8 in Northlake provided us with a clean room and good service at a reasonable price. The adjoining restaurant served good meals, but the hotel breakfast wasn't much. Since price was our major concern,we were satisfied with what we got.

Very nice hotel for a Super 8. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Victoria restaurant, right in the hotel, was outstanding and made a good stay into a great one! Very reasonably priced too. Big grocery store located right across the street. Convenient 24 hour shuttle to and from Ohare and the Blue Line. Definately will stay there when I go back.

Was looking for an affordable place for overnight stay close to O'Hare airport. Nothing about the place is special, but nothing will make you regret your choice as well. One concern was the mattress in the beds - they were really old and you almost sink inside them.. On the plus side, the complimentary breakfast had plenty of options....

The front desk person was rude when I asked to be picked up from airport. Got charged extra $ for chking in before 3pm. Skip dining at restaurant. Food definitely canned & frozen products! Bread in bread basket dried out! Hotel needs updating and remodeling.

My room had a few ribbed in its curtain. The next day, one of the curtain's slit ended ribbed wider when we tried to open the curtain. I called to ask for a replacement so we can have full privacy, they staff never come and replace the curtain until we check out. We stayed there for 3 nights. It was overall an OK hotel for a reasonable price.

Let me start by stating that the employees were great. They were very helpful and eager to serve. Also, the entry way was in very nice condition, almost like it had been recently renovated. Yet the hallways and rooms, well not so much. There was an indent in the wall behind the door where the handle had done through it. Great for the money. Not dissatisfied, not over joyed, but again, it was a discount motel. Amenities exactly as advertised, no frills- king sized bed with full bath and AC, on a busy road. The big internet website maps were terrible for finding the location from the highway.

The hotel itself is fine if you're not super picky. I thought my room was comfortable and clean, and the amenities were decent. The bathroom is a little small and the water pressure a little lower than I'm used to, but in good working order. If you're just looking for a servicable place to stay, this will do. Unfortunately, the walls are a little thin […] and I had rude, loud neighbors that carried on until 2:00 in the morning. And dealing with any issues at the front desk (like asking them to ask said neighbors to keep the noise down) is really hit or miss. The service at the front desk is often very slow, and depending on who's working, your needs may or may not be met. When I first got to the hotel after a very long and tiring drive, two of the people working the desk were engaged in a conversation, and neither one even made eye conact with me or said that they would be with me soon. They just plowed on with their conversation for good while. It's disconcerting to get off the road, pull up to your hotel, and just be ignored right off the bat. It's kind of disappointing, because while my needs usually aren't fancy with a room, I do really appreciate politeness and plain, old-fashioned customer service. And that doesn't cost the hotel a dime to provide. And at this front desk, it really seemed like customer service went up or down depending on who was on duty. It's really nice, though, to have a place that at least offers something for breakfast. Read more

I knew this would be a no frills hotel and was fine with that, but even my low expectations weren't met. Here's why: 1) They've tried to update the interior design it seems, but you can't really cover up gaping holes in the wall, stains, excess equipment stored all over the place, etc. 2) The room picture online definitely didn't match the one I received. […] The TVs in the pictures are new flat screened ones. The one in reality was less than 20 inches and probably 15 years old. No remote anywhere in the room. 3) The floor was literally caving in in the hallway and in my actual room. You could feel it give if you happened to walk over a spot. Definitely not good. 4) I stayed two nights, the WiFi never worked. Another guest was complaining about it right before me at the front desk. They had no solutions and didn't know what the problem even was. 5) My room wasn't made up after my first night. When I inquired why, I was rudely informed that it's what I requested. I never requested for my bed to not be made and to not get new towels. 6) There was a dog barking non stop. I called the desk about it and they said it would be "looked in to." The dog didn't stop barking until 2 hours later, so no one did anything about it. 7) Stains on one chair, and the other one was broken. 8) There are tons of creepy hallways that are blocked off and stairs with gates over them. Neighborhood is on the edge of actual blight. The hotel itself is older and I think they're doing their best to keep it nice inside, but it's difficult. There is no elevator, so be prepared to go up and down the stairs multiple times to get all your luggage. The continental breakfast was not terrible (not great - but you know what you're getting into […] with those words) but the second day of our stay we ended up leaving and getting breakfast somewhere else because almost everything was gone. It seemed like they were much more interested in funneling business to the attached restaurant and were stocking the free breakfast bar as an afterthought using the busboy from the restaurant.
