Can't complain for the money we paid. Room looked exactly like the pictures. Breakfast was good for a good deal. Was close to all the attractions we went to. Police were walking the streets so it made it feel safe even though there were bums walking around. Had a great time and hotel was great to. Would stay there again esp for the price!

The hotel location at first was a little confusion due to that it sit behind the Baymont Inn and not an actual entrance to the actual hotel. The Room Service, Food, Guest services overall was very nice, neat and clean hotel. I really liked the Salmon breakfast the most though. If i come back to Atlanta i would most likely again stay at this hotel. Close to mainly everything. :)

Very nice hotel. Large rooms for a city hotel. Room was clean and staff was nice. Convenient location for attractions such as the aquarium, children's museum, etc...about a 15 minute walk to these attractions. Only thing that was a little disappointing was that the hotel did not offer any complimentary coffee or water in the lobby, which is always nice when you are traveling and away from home.

Although the room was quite large, it was lacking. The furnishings looked old and worn and there was no basic hotel information in the room. The vanity in the bathroom appeared newer than the flooring and tub. The worst part of the room was the AC/Heating unit. It was extremely loud - too loud to count as white noise. I will be staying elsewhere next trip to Atlanta.

Our actual room was beautiful and more spacious than we expected. It had plenty of room and it was nicely decorated. The rest of the hotel seemed a little run down, but they take great care of the guest rooms. My only complaint is that the staff was not very friendly or accommodating. The front desk was often unattended, you have to pay for parking, there's no complimentary breakfast, and they charge you for a daily newspaper unless you decline. If you are looking for a nice, comfortable room, this is your place. If you're looking for smiling faces and helpful staff, it's not.

The hotel was fine. The staff was nice, and I wasn't disturbed. There are no smoking rooms so whenever I wanted a cigarette I had to go outside. The public transportation in Atlanta leaves much to be desired. So be sure to rent a car when you're there otherwise you'll be at the mercy of the inconsistent taxi service.

At first glance, the hotel room looks like a knock up. The room is spacious. The furniture is chic. Then it's time to work. And you find the desktop gooseneck lamp and the two others bedside do put out enough light. The neck of the desk lamp is almost rigid so you have a lamp staring you in the face. The hotel's location is poor. It's actually connected to another lower priced property and at the bottom of a hill. Nice going down, but hard going into town. And the hotel is on the fringe of the tourist district and not in the best of neighborhoods.

Check in was a disaster and after finally receiving the key to the room which did not open the door, had to return to the front desk and was told to stand by until someone from maintance would escort me to the room to make sure the key worked (waited for several minutes and no one from maintance arrived). After finally getting inside of the room it had a leaking ac unit which wet the rug causing the room to smell. Went back to the front desk (different front desk clerk) informing her of the problem and was told that she would get someone to fix the ac. When informed fixing the ac unit would not get rid of the smell I was moved to another room. On check out day my son and I decided to have breakfast in the hotel's cafe. The service was terrible (long wait time, other customers being served their meals who arrived after we did). We decided to leave but a very nice manager (unknown name, african american female) observed my frustration and provided our breakfast for free. I booked the hotel due to it being close to Georgia State University (my son and I toured the campus on 8/16/09) and if he decides to attend the University I would "never" stay at the Wyndham Garden Hotel.

The familiy and I didnt enjoy walking throught the gaunlet of homeless people every night to get back to our hotel. The room was clean, but they were renovating the floor we were on so the halls were about 95 degrees and dirty. This should be rated as a 2 star motel. Cheap price turned out to be not so cheap after parking fees and bad location.

We spent 3 nights here and while the price was good the location was not. We had the breakfast buffet all three mornings. It is pricey but good. The only problem with it was at least one of our coffee cups were dirty everyday. One morning lipstick was still visible on it. We would have chosen to eat somewhere else but it was a long walk to get there. I have been to NYC numerous times and assumed the public transportation would compare. It did not. We had to walk 3 blocks up hill to reach the nearest bus stop and train station. The 3 blocks we had to walk was not well lit and gave me and my family an unsafe feeling. Homeless people are EVERYWHERE and we seen no one trying to run them off from sitting on the sides of the streets and hounding us for money. I have never felt this unsafe in NYC. Public transportation and walking in Atlanta not recommended at all.

The hotel and support staff was excellent; except, I noticed that the hotel management never helped assist their employees when the lines were long at the front desk. This is the first hotel that I've been to where this was allowed to happen and I have traveled a great deal including internationally. The Manager was sitting at his desk while numerous customers waited to check-in for an inordinate amount of time. The clerk at the desk was clearly overwhelmed trying to check customers in and answer the phones simultaneously. The Manager could clearly see the customers waiting and never once moved to assist. Where in the world has the sense of good customer service and team support gone.
