I was here for a business trip and loved my stay! Beautiful rooms, friendly staff, and right on the ocean. I street parked to avoid the $20/night rate, which was a little tight but didn't have a problem through the week. Will definitely stay here again.

Over all the hotel was the nicest I've stayed in so far.. I paid a little over $400 a night and stayed 5 nights for that price and length of stay it would of been nice to have free parking and or breakfast included. Hotel staff was great but I probably wouldn't go back again when I could get the same view for a better price with things included.

I love that this hotel is on the beach, had a fairly large room with kitchen, the decor is elegant tropical and the hotel itself is conveniently small. However it's most outstanding feature is the wonderful customer service. Every employee was friendly and eager to do whatever they could to help your stay be enjoyable. I had the least expensive room, […] "no view", but I had a small patio with views of plants, the side street, walkways and a speck of the ocean. The $22 parking fee is unpleasant,however, while checking in, the front desk person encouraged me to check around for free parking before paying. I was able to find a spot on the street near my room. Great pool right next to the ocean, the beach in the backyard, impressive view , enjoyable balcony. I love how this hotel is designed to help you get the most out of staying on the beach. Proximity to Konos for breakfast is a bonus. Can not wait to go back.

I love the Pacific Terrace!! Neither my husband or I were fond of the heavy bed frame as it was clumsy to get in and out of. minor point. The amenities were awesome. Iced tea, lemonade and fruited ice water available all day. Huge bowl of fresh fruit at desk. Fresh cookies for an afternoon snack and chocolates at turn-down. This hotel is amazing to say the least! When we walked into the room, it was pure bliss! All I can say is make sure you get a room with a balcony facing the beach. This room was nicer and cleaner than some of the hotels in Las Vegas! The furniture was polished, bed sheets clean and the bathroom did not have an ounce of mildew. This room has two double […] sinks, microwave and a small refrigerator. The bed was so comfortable that I did not want to get up and eat breakfast! Having a great night sleep is a must in order to enjoy the following day! We did not see one bug in this room, which was great! We refuse to be in a room with a bunch of bugs parading across the carpet! Also no flying insects was heard! I can not sleep with numerous bugs flying over my head playing the sound track to Apocalypse Now. This was our first stay at Pacific and it will not be our last. We always wondered why Pacific Terrace received such great ratings, and now we know why! First of all, the hotel rooms are immaculate, warm, inviting and beautiful. They offer unbelievable views of the ocean. The hotel and grounds are extremely well-kept. It is in a great location. One […] can walk to just about anywhere needed to go - grocery store, pharmacy, shopping, restaurants, the beach, salon, laundromat, bank... you name it! Most of all though, the staff at Pacific Terrace provide top-notch service and little personal touches that set this hotel apart from all the others! For example, the valet asked about our plans for the day. We explained that we were going to the Safari Park which is located in a hot, dry area up in Escondido. When he brought our car we found he had provided us with 2 bottles of cold water for the trip! Additionally, in our room was a card with our housekeepers name and picture on it (I will attach photo). It was nice to be able to wave and greet her by name as we passed in the hallway. Each evening along with the bed turn down (and chocolates) we were provided with a paper which outlined the weather for that night and the following day. It also provided names and photos of the staff working the night and day shifts. Pacific Terrace is a small hotel which allows for exceptional, personalized service. Just finished our 2nd visit to Pacific Terrace and it's still as wonderful as we remember. The friendliest and most helpful staff, perfect location, and super relaxing vibe. My daughter wasn't feeling well on our last day of vacation and Enrico went above and beyond to accommodate our situation. This is one of the many reasons we'll be back. Of course, we always make the pilgrimage to In N Out since we don't have in our city. Only small suggestions would be to upgrade fitness center and bathrooms. This is a gem of a hotel. The staff is exceedingly friendly and well trained. They're just "on it." For example, when we checked in our room wasn't ready (we were early), but they offered us towels for the pool, promised to call right when our room was ready, and asked if we wanted to store our luggage while we waited. These might not seem extraordinary, […] but what made it so was that we didn't have to ask for any of these - they offered them before we had to. Our room on the second floor as billed as a partial ocean view, but we could see all of Crystal Pier and plenty of ocean and the surfers from our balcony. The kids loved the pool area and the free cookies that are offered at 4pm. A nice touch. We were able to find street parking every day, which I think would be difficult in busier months (we were there early January). We really enjoyed the Thai restaurant Narraya down the street. The location of the hotel is amazing; the beach is a few feet away; the pool area was beautiful and there are a lot of bars and restaurants around. My favorite part of the trip was running the path on the beach next to the hotel. The parking is super expensive and the breakfast is worth skipping.

Loved the hotel, but wasn't totally satisfied with the "FULL" Ocean view I'd paid for. We had nothing but palm trees in front of our balcony that obstructed the ocean view. Next time, I'd ask for another room or downgrade the partial ocean view. Lovely hotel though.

We have stayed in the area before, and now would never stay anywhere but here. The other hotels in the area do not compare in the slightest. You are directly on the boardwalk, but don't here the night people-traffic that you would when staying elsewhere. Stay here, it is worth every penny.

Beautiful location right on the beach. I travel a lot to San Diego on business and have stayed at many different hotels, this is one of my favorites. I have stayed here twice, both times the 'partial ocean view' had a full view with a patio literally 20 feet from the ocean boardwalk. The pool area and grounds were cleaned every morning and in good shape, […] the rooms are spacious and very comfortable with nice furniture and cushy pillowtop beds. Big bathrooms and dressing areas. Only complaint is the shower glass doors leak so be sure and put a towel down to soak it up. The staff is very friendly, and there are many good dining options close by - but keep in mind that Mission Beach is generally geared to a younger college age crowd, if you have teenagers with you they will love it. Great Little Gem of a Hotel right on the Beach. We loved the pool, hot tub, bike paths and the local restaurants and the scene. The ocean views form our room were amazing. Being right on the beach is key for us and we could leave our sliding door open and hear the waves at night. Excellent hotel and a relaxing vacation.
