"My review of the Aqua Palms Hotel."
You should probably rent a compact car because the parking structure has a steep entry and very narrow parking stalls. The Diamondhead view room have a nice view of the Hilton Hawaiian Village across the street a large portion of Waikiki and Diamondhead, partial view of the ocean, and it's a little noisy because of the busy Ala Moana Blvd below. I found […] that after while walking around in my room, my feet would get dirty, probably because the carpet needed to be cleaned. All that aside, the hotel has a decent price, and good convenient location. All the rooms have a mini refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker, which they provide the coffee and condiments. There is an IHOP on the ground level, but it seems to be empty all the time, probably because people preferred to go next-door to the more local style Wailana Coffee Shop. There is a Todai Japanese seafood buffet on the next block, also a Thai restaurant. You can also walk to the beach. Keep in mind that you are halfway in between Ala Moana Shopping Center and the main part of Waikiki, so you should probably rent a compact car. The hotel staff are all very nice and treat you respectfully. So for the money, I would say it was a very good stay. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"PERFECT FOR THE CONFERENCE ACROSS THE STREET"
Needed to go to a conference at the Hilton Hawaiian, but everything was booked so I booked the Aqua Palms which was right across the street, so it was very convenient. Rooms were clean and neat and were fine for my needs. Price was right too, much cheaper than the Hilton. It was too far from Waikiki Beach, but it was perfect for my needs.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
This was my first trip to Honolulu and I was looking for a clean, economical room for my 5 day stay. This place does the job. Staff were responsive and friendly. The pool is a little small but well maintained. Location is prime and the beach is very accessible. The room was spacious and the bathroom floor was a little dingy but otherwise everything […] else was fine. Right across the street from the Hilton and definitely not Hilton prices. There are restaurants and stores within a block of the hotel. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good alternative to beachfront hotel"
The hotel is just a street away from the beach and situated nicely between varying attractions. During my stay they were under renovations which was definitely inconvenient and unattractive, but for future visitors should make their experience all the better.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Happy with the service"
The hotel was undergoing renovations in the lobby and when I let the manager know that I would not have booked the hotel had I known that, she happily upgraded us to a suite and gave me a 10% discount. The location was great and the staff was friendly and helpful. I'd stay there again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Tiny lobby was half closed for "upgrade" but never saw anyone working on it. $25/day parking was difficult to reach. Room is right over Ala Moana Blvd so is loud 24/7. Pool was closed. (Waikiki was 3-5 feet and we had a 4 y/o, so the pool would have been a nice option.) Tub had no drain plug so son couldn't take a bath. Promised free bkfst at IHOP wasn't […] offered. I expected a lot more for $250/night. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Good hotel for the money"
Aqua Palms is an older hotel which has kept its original charm. No bells and whistles, but a clean room, friendly staff and adjoining parking. Convenient location. A bit noisy with the morning traffic and other activities, but the interior was quiet. No loud parties at all hours. Carpet could use a redo. If they shampoo it one more time, they're liable […] to hit flooring. Bed was comfortable and bathroom was miniature but very adequate. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
The first room assigned to me was on the 8th floor at the end of the hall by the housekeeping supply closet. Couldn't have been a grungier room, with cracks around the light sockets and beat up lamp shades. It had a very old feeling to it. The pipes would shake and moan when I took a shower. I went down and complained and they moved us to a new room […] the next day. This one was a little better (no shaking pipes), lampshades were not quite as beat up. However, the bed in the new room was awful, it sloped greatly on one side (felt like I was going to roll off at night) and was super soft. It is an average place to stay if you need a cheap place in Waikiki with an iHop next door. I read that they will start charging daily for internet access and other things starting in August so not sure the value will be that great. I did find the staff to be very friendly and helpful. 10 min after I booked I received a call from the hotel. They told me the hotel was over booked and they would move me to one of the partner hotels that was actually more expensive. All I have to say it felt like a 100 degrees outside and the room was even worse. AC was broken! When asked to move I was told there was nothing they could do.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"great value in Waikiki"
This hotel is right across of the Hilton Hawaiian Village and in a great part of Waikiki Beach. I had friends staying at the Hilton, and they paid about 50% more for their room. Yes, it's true the Aqua Palms is a simple hotel but you can enjoy all of the amenities of the Hilton. I also liked the fact that you can easily walk to Lewers Street where there […] are great rrestaurants, bars, and shops. There is IHOP and Wailana Coffee Shop next to the Aqua Palms along with a nearby convenience store and surfboard rental. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotel itself was very nice and the room was comfortable. If I had to complain I would have to say that our room had a huge slope to the floor which gave a feeling of falling forward toward the rooms door. This also made sleeping a little "fun" with the slope being so acute. I also think our room was slightly in need of an refurbishment when it came […] to the furniture. Although everything in the room was in very good shape, the furniture was a bit dated. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great Budget Hotel with Lots of Nice Touches"
Tons of pros for a budget hotel and one big con. Make sure to stay above Floor 8 if you stay on the street side, or move to the residential side. They provide lots of small thoughtful touches - great smelling toiletries, apples in lobby, plenty of local information, great air conditioning, very clean. Staff is wonderful. "Budget Hotel with very few flaws..."
Hotel Aqua Palms in Honolulu, Hawaii, offers a decent accommodation for fairly little money Oman otherwise expensive island. When we arrived we were greeted by very friendly and helpful reception desk staff. We had book a room with partial sea view. Ours was on the 9th of 12 floors. The room itself offered all we wanted: a king size bed, large screen […] TV, a European style refrigerator, a coffee make, an irion and an ironing board. The couch in the room was fatigued and seemed in need of a thorough cleaning or, even better, replacement. The laptop safe was large enough to store my large laptop, all phones an iPads at once (with room to spare). The small balcony with room to sit and have drinks on rounded the picture. As I mentioned before, compared to most of the other hotels this one was well priced. Therefore the pool area was not very enticing (somewhat sparse on vegetation and decoration) and the sea view very partial (across the street one finds the Hilton Hawaiin Village, blocking most of the view. Parking is in house, very convenient and with $25 a day expensive. The hotel (including room and pool) was very clean, the cleaning staff very friendly and accommodating. If you are on a budget but don't want to miss certain comforts, then we can only recommend Honolulu's Aqua Palms Hotel. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

I like the location since it was situated around all the night life. Everything is within walking distance. Beach was about a 5 minute walk away. It was a very relaxing business trip since I rarely had to take the taxi.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Had an awesome time in Hawaii last month! Aqua Palms is a solid hotel. Excellant staff, especially Ryan who's so patient & helpful. If we return to Hawaii next year, we will not hesitate to stay here again.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Close to the beach - Great location for the price"
This hotel is about two blocks from the beach and right on a main street. Furniture was older, but room was very clean. Bed was very comfortable. Hotel staff was friendly Don't pay extra for the Diamond Head View because that puts you on the side of the building over the main street. Road noise was unbelievable even on the 11th floor. "We enjoyed our stay in the hotel and on the Island"
This was my second trip to Oahu and both times I stayed at the Aqua Palms. I have enjoyed my stay at the Aqua Palms and the Island. The rooms are clean, but a little small, which wasn't a problem for us because we were gone all day. The last time we visited, which was a few year ago, there was a complimentary continental breakfast, they don't have that […] anymore. That was the only complaint I have. EXCELLENT, CLEAN, CONVENIENT, GREAT SERVICE! WE'VE STAYED IN MANY HOTELS IN WAIKIKI, INCLUDING MANY NAME BRANDS. AQUA PALMS RANKS IN OUR TOP 2, AFTER A WEEKEND THERE! "Great hotel for the price!"
If this is your first visit to Hawaii and you are looking for a good deal on a hotel I would totally recommend this hotel. Many of the cheaper hotels in the "Aqua" chain have the local style jalousie windows. But this one has windows that are completely sealed with central AC (not all hotels are like this on the island). Also, the location is great. […] You can literally just cross the street and you are in the Hilton Hawaiian village with lush foliage everywhere and penguins, turtles, and coi fish in their ponds! You can walk through this opulent hotel village each time you walk to the beach. This location is farther from Diamondhead on the newer side of Waikiki. The hotel is connected to an IHOP and very close by are also a McDonalds & Subway. I saw that someone had complained about construction nearby. They are building very close to the hotel on the side facing away from the ocean. But the noise didn't start until 7am which was fine with us bc we slept good the whole night since it was so quiet. The hotel we first stayed in on the other side of Waikiki was very loud the whole night and we slept horrible. We loved it here! I will definitely stay here again on my next visit to Hawaii. "nice hotel close to the beach"
价格在3星级属于中上，物有所值，房间不大，不过很安静，停车很方便。还会继续入住。离夏威夷人酒店非常近，周五正好赶上看烟火，附近ABC吃的地方都很多，旁边的泰国菜味道不错。Genuine Expedia guest review

"Good price for a comfortable stay"
It was our first time in honolulu this past spring and we had such a great time. We knew we were going to be out all day throughout the stay so we did not want to book an expensive hotel. The aqua palm was a very nice hotel located at the beginning of the Waikiki beach strip. The staffs were very friendly and accomodating. Our hotel room was cozy and […] just what we needed after a fun-filled day in the Hawaiian sun. They also let us bring our rental bicycles up to our hotel room. Overall, we had a great stay at the hotel at a very good price. I would recommend this hotel for anyone who does not care much about luxury and with great people that would make your Hawaii trip an even better experience! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Great location property at affordable price levels"
Across street from Hilton Hawaii Village, just 5 minutes from its beautiful beach area in Waikiki, this hotel guests enjoy similar level of convenience to that well-know resort complex. The slightly tilted floor levels make people feel different from all other hotels. The bathtubs are very limited in length, able to save tons of water for the hotel […] day in and day out. Guest service is great except for occasional maid disturbance during morning hours, trying to clean your room as early as possible. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Affordable hotel close to the beach"
Aqua Palms is a great hotel if you're looking not to spend resort prices. The rooms are clean and well-sized. They were serviced by the staff each day, who were extremely helpful, friendly, and polite. The hotel is within easy walking distance of beach and right across the street from great shopping and restaurants in the Hilton Hawaiian Village. The […] mall is also just a short walk away. "Enjoyable Stay - Versatile Location"
If you enjoy walking to your destinations, this hotel is the spot. Up the street about ten minutes you find Ala Moana Mall, across the streets gets you to the beach in about the same time, and down the street ten minutes to the heart of Waikiki Beach. Rooms were clean, beds comfy. Staff happy, and they throw a Thursday afternoon cocktail party with […] live music in the lobby. Street noise a little bit, being located on a main highway. Some lanais you cannot sit, so be aware. Overall, I'd go back for another stay. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"One of the best in Honolulu for the value!"
I come to Honolulu several times per year, and this is the first time I've stayed at this hotel. I was very impressed, it's just on the outskirts of Waikiki (which is a huge plus for me, not as crowded, noisy, and traffic). I will probably stay here from now on. The room was clean, big, and comfortable. One downside is when I checked in my room, the […] carpet was wet (but I guess it's good they cleaned the carpet). It took 2 days to dry, so it was slightly annoying. There is construction going on across the street at at 7 AM they were already working, which can wake you up. The upside of this hotel though is the size of the rooms are larger than others in Waikiki. I recommend it! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Last minute booking"
We booked this place because it was cheap and close to the beach after our flight got delayed a day. After staying in a private rental in the North Shore for a week, it was hard to like this place. On the positive side, it was clean, up to date, and the staff was friendly. However, it was located on a very major road that is currently experiencing construction....the […] jackhammer all day kind. If you are looking for a cheap place as a base to explore Honolulu, it is fine. If we kept our balcony door shut, it was fairly quiet. If you are looking for a place to relax and experience the nature side of Hawaii, I wouldn't recommend this place. Get out of Honolulu. It feels like NYC. Otherwise, the room was fine for the reason we needed it. I was glad to leave though. It was too loud and crazy outside the doors for me. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"A hotel with pros and cons"
The rooms were smaller than expected. The bathroom was very tight and the bathtub size would only fit a child not an full size american adult. The lobby area was very tiny. Like everywhere in Waikiki, you have to pay for $25 to $30 per day for parking in addition to your room fees.Genuine Expedia guest review
Pleasantly surprised with this hotel with the difference in price of Aqua Palms and the Hilton just across the street probably 40-50% the price. Clean and up to date room. Bed and pillows are okay-comfortable. Only downs; very, very tight turning radius in parking ramp. I'm a pretty good driver and the rent Impala (full size) is a challenge and the […] shower pulses at times (more of a noise/annoyance than a real problem) Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Renovated, but noisy"
On a busy street with construction work across the street on the quiet back side during the day, recent positive renovations included a big screen TV and wireless internet in room. However, the Wi-Fi was occasionally intermittent, which hopefully is a temporary problem. AC worked well. Nearby IHOP and local coffee shop convenient for breakfast/lunch.
