The hotel is great at a nice location. Not beach front, but very close, and some room has some ocean views. Room is clean and large, each has 42' LCD TV set. Each Wed they have someone perform Hawaii local songs in the lobby with some free Hawaii style drinks, which is nice. The only complicaint is the maid service is somewhat unpredicable. One day she knocked on the door at 8:40am, then the next day didn't come until 3:00pm. The room is cleaned fine, but then she forgot to replenish the coffee starter pack for two days.

I stayed at the Aqua Palms on a previous visit to Honolulu. The staff there is excellent. They are friendly and willing to accommodate. I was initially given a room with no lanai and requested a different room with a lanai after the first night of my seven night stay. No Problem. No extra charge. They called me when the room was ready. This is not a luxury hotel. It is small and quiet but in an area that is close to everything you could want. I would definitely recommend this hotel to my friends and family. The price is great, the staff was exceptional, the room clean and comfortable. What more could you ask for?

The room was clean, partial city view. A few things to take note of was 1. the bathroom, take the size of a regular bathtub and cut in half-barely any room to move. The lighting in the bathroom was inadequate, and by the way no lightswitch in the main room, you had to feel your way to the lightswitch on the lamp by the bed...not fun when you get in on a late flight. Otherwise it wasn't bad for what we paid for. Pool was small, but was refreshing. Staff was friendly, and hotel was clean.

I was very impressed with hotel and the room for the low cost I paid. Furnishings were all clean and updated; the room was quiet and comfortable. NO BEDBUGS! That is something I worry about when the price is so good - but no worries here. The hotel was very convenient to Waikiki/Ala Moana shopping mall and all the food/shopping that comes with that. I was disappointed that there was no free breakfast, but I'd rather have a clean room than free food, so it was OK.

I booked this hotel because a local told me about the hotel chain. I was surprise about the price and the location. I was attending a meeting at the hilton hawaiian village and this hotel is just across the street from it. IHOP is next to it and the trolley station is right outside the door of the hotel. I read some reviews that the elevators were taking to long but this was not the case during my stay. I had a problem with my room ac thermostat control and they switch my room without a problem. also they upgraded my room without extra charge without me even asking for that. Overall a great experience and will book again if the opportunity was given to me again to go to honolulu.

The Aqua Palms was in a great location for wandering around Waikiki. It was not in the center of the beach area; however, you could easily walk to and from the middle of Waikiki. It's also right across from the Hilton, which is the main pick-up location for all shuttles. That made things a lot more convenient. The hotel staff was quite nice and no problems with them. The elevators were slow and sometimes you had to wait 2-3 minutes for one to arrives. This was ironic considering they have three of them...and no stairs.

Great stay, the only issue being that our initial room on the 6th floor had a terrible whining noise from the other side of the bathroom wall. It was very persistent at all hours and was no doubt connected to water use in other rooms. The hotel wanted us first to simply call whenever the noise occurred, but my girlfriend noted how early we were awakened and they graciously moved us to a new room.

The Hotel was good but was very upset with the parking, they charged $20 dollars a day and no where was that ever mentioned or even alluded to. When making a decision these things should be mentioned. It also did not help that they disabled my keys because they said my credit card did not go through and I had to go all the way back down with all my luggage and then we found out it was their machine that was not working not my card. Was very disapointed with this stay and I use hotels quite a bit every month.

Hotel staff were friendly, and room was comfortable, but our room was missing a room safe, so we had to leave valuables at the front desk when we were away. About half the rooms have a walk-out balcony with chairs, ours did not. Since the view of diamond head was not bad, it would have been nice to have outdoor balcony seating to relax and enjoy the view. Our room was across the hall from the elevators, which was not as loud as I expected it would be, but the person in the room next to us was getting phone calls at 4am, and we could hear him loud and clear. Very convenient location near the convention center and the beach. Overall a good room for the money.

There are some serious problems with the customer service at this hotel. Maybe i just caught them at a bad time -- not my concern! A girl named Berna at the front desk was terrible on the phone as well as in person. She should be re-trained or terminated. The manager was equally useless on the phone and in person. The elevators are under repair and the fire alarm went off at 6am -- forcing us to clear the building. I called to ask the front desk what that siren was and the person said "I don't know" and she would send someone up to check. Doesn't she know what's going on? The only bright spots were the room attendant "Chaly" and "Larry" at the front desk. They need to get it together. They have other properties that are run much better. Manager's need to be evaluated and re-trained NOW!!!! I don't recommend this hotel until this is resolved -- I want a REFUND!!!!!! Truly,UPSET!!!!, Jeff
