"One of the best in Honolulu for the value!"
I come to Honolulu several times per year, and this is the first time I've stayed at this hotel. I was very impressed, it's just on the outskirts of Waikiki (which is a huge plus for me, not as crowded, noisy, and traffic). I will probably stay here from now on. The room was clean, big, and comfortable. One downside is when I checked in my room, the […] carpet was wet (but I guess it's good they cleaned the carpet). It took 2 days to dry, so it was slightly annoying. There is construction going on across the street at at 7 AM they were already working, which can wake you up. The upside of this hotel though is the size of the rooms are larger than others in Waikiki. I recommend it! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

This isn't the hilton, but why spend extra dollars when you have a clean room, friendly staff, and a short walk to the beach?Genuine Expedia guest review
"Last minute booking"
We booked this place because it was cheap and close to the beach after our flight got delayed a day. After staying in a private rental in the North Shore for a week, it was hard to like this place. On the positive side, it was clean, up to date, and the staff was friendly. However, it was located on a very major road that is currently experiencing construction....the […] jackhammer all day kind. If you are looking for a cheap place as a base to explore Honolulu, it is fine. If we kept our balcony door shut, it was fairly quiet. If you are looking for a place to relax and experience the nature side of Hawaii, I wouldn't recommend this place. Get out of Honolulu. It feels like NYC. Otherwise, the room was fine for the reason we needed it. I was glad to leave though. It was too loud and crazy outside the doors for me. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"A hotel with pros and cons"
The rooms were smaller than expected. The bathroom was very tight and the bathtub size would only fit a child not an full size american adult. The lobby area was very tiny. Like everywhere in Waikiki, you have to pay for $25 to $30 per day for parking in addition to your room fees.Genuine Expedia guest review
Pleasantly surprised with this hotel with the difference in price of Aqua Palms and the Hilton just across the street probably 40-50% the price. Clean and up to date room. Bed and pillows are okay-comfortable. Only downs; very, very tight turning radius in parking ramp. I'm a pretty good driver and the rent Impala (full size) is a challenge and the […] shower pulses at times (more of a noise/annoyance than a real problem) Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"In walking distance to beach and must-see sights"
We really enjoyed our stay. The people were very friendly and welcoming. Nice party on Thursday for guests. Close to most everything. Room was nice with good view.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Renovated, but noisy"
On a busy street with construction work across the street on the quiet back side during the day, recent positive renovations included a big screen TV and wireless internet in room. However, the Wi-Fi was occasionally intermittent, which hopefully is a temporary problem. AC worked well. Nearby IHOP and local coffee shop convenient for breakfast/lunch. […] All in all, relatively good value for the Aqua Palms as a budget hotel stay, especially when construction near the rear of hotel is complete. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
I needed a room when I missed my flight connection in Honolulu. Aqua Palms rooms are clean and functional - but hotel is pretty dated. Front desk service was great, including calling a cab for me at 5:00am. Fine alternative if you just need something functional and reasonably priced.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice hotel for price close to everything"
Nice kids friendly place to stay in Honolulu Close to attractions and bus stopGenuine Expedia guest review
Spacious rooms, convenience of kitchenette. Good value. Can't beat it in WaikikiGenuine Expedia guest review
We were treated well when we arrived. We were given very helpful suggestions when we asked about directions and other information. The room was very comfortable and attractive. We would definitely consider that hotel next time we're in Honolulu.Genuine Expedia guest review
"It was a nice Hotel and close to Beach"
We enjoyed our stay in the Hotel very nice staff it was close to beach, shopping and restaurantsGenuine Expedia guest review
WAY overpriced for what u get. Just a bed to sleep in and nothing more.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We were very happy with our stay. The hotel staff are very pleasant and our room was clean. It is a very short walk to the beach. We purchased a Diamond Head view room, but we also had a view of the ocean from our room.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Excellent place for a few days"
The hotel is really easy to get to from the airport, which was nice. It's just off of Waikiki beach so the traffic isn't that bad. We had a rental car so we had to park in their garage, which is $25 a day. The space is tight but it is a gated garage for added security. The lobby and entrance aren't anything spectacular but we weren't looking for that. […] We just needed a place to stay for three days that would give us access to a lot of places around the island. This was not a "sit on the beach" trip; we wanted to go sightseeing around the island. Everything was clean and neat, but if you are over 6'3" you'll have to duck in the hallways. :) It is within walking distance to a lot of restaurants on Waikiki beach so we didn't need to drive anywhere around Waikiki. The rooms are comfortable but don't expect a ton of room. The tv is a wall mounted flat panel to save space. Overall, this place is definitely worth it if you don't need to be right on the beach. I wouldn't stay here for a week-long Hawaii beach vacation as it's not suited for that type of experience. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Great Location and very affordable"
Great location at a very reasonable price. Parking garage on ramps are a bit difficult to navigate with a full size vehicle. Great view and wonderful value. I Ilike quiet, non smoking enviromemtGenuine Expedia guest review
Room was not so roomy, but not a problem. Street noise level is pretty high, but what would one expect being right downtown. My main complaint is that we rented two rooms and the in-room safes in both rooms did not work. Overall, a good experience at a reasonable price, for the location.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"aqua palms waikiki"
1). Hotel was close to shops and not far from the beach. 2). Very conventient location. 3). Hallway had a very pugent smell. 4). Parking was ample. $25/night. Very steep and narrow climb to get to parking spot. Like a roller coaster ride. 5). To get boarding pass - they have two computers for rent. Horrible experience. Gobbled up my money. When I called […] them - they placed the blame on the hotel. If I were the hotel managment team, I would get rid of the rental computers ASAP as it makes for a very bad taste in the guests. 3 other guest had the same problem. 6). When I went to complain to the hotel, they printed my boarding pass. Why didn't they do this in the first place ratehr than allow me to lose all that money and wait 30 minutes of my time trying to get the pay computer to work. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Aqua Hotels are nice, but this is not the NICEST 1"
hallway was always cold due to a/c at one end (right outside our door) - breakfast is not included - the parking garage entrance interesting, kinda like a roller coaster ride!- front desk staff was always friendly- better signage for check in is needed due to one way street and traffic concerns-discount at coffee shop was well used- parking rate changed […] between the time I booked and the time I showed up and I was not notified- Greeted by friendly staff and checked in quite easiliy dispite changes in parking price. had to set the temp in the refrigerator because it was 55 degrees in it when I got there. liked the complementary daiily paper and aplles at the front desk. Was disappointed that I had to rent computer time and pay 70 cents per printed sheet to print boarding passes, this was a free service when I last stayed at and Aqua Hotel. The maid staff was great, and accomodated our schedule and fillled our room need requests very quickly. Nothing went wrong during this stay, just lots of amenities were not offered at this location that we have had at other Aqua Hotels would reccomend this hotel to a friend with qualifications - (close to Hilton Hawaiin Village)(NO KIDS) but would really suggest Aqua Aloha Surf for more roominess, room features (mini kitchen, table/chairs, free breakfast (5 yrs ago) FREE parking very close by , Waikiki Beach closer (Duke statue) Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Awesome Excellent Hotel"
We came across the Aqua Palm on the internet and were not completely convinced it was the right place for us as it was so reasonably priced. As we found out upon arrival, the location, room, pretty much everything was above our expectations. We were very impressed upon our arrival with the staff, cleanliness, appearance, location, etc. The value for […] this hotel is incredible as it is located right in the heart of the "action" and is only a short and delightful walk to the incredible beach. "Close to beach. Great price but needs attention."
Stayed 4 nights then left for 2 nights in Maui then stayed one more night before flying home. Was a little disappointed in the older appearance but overlooked it because of the location and price. Maybe housekeeping was having a bad week but my rooms had multiple issues...2 noticeable holes in desk lamp, holes and a stain on drapes and on carpet. I […] think just a sign of age. Bed was comfy...a big plus. Bathroom had a very small tub..definitely not full size..and no curved shower rod so space was very tight and I had to turn sideways to avoid touching the shower curtain. One long blond hair was in back of shower stall when I arrived and remained in the shower stall all 4 days. I have black hair. I left it to see if the stall would be wiped down by housekeeping. It wasn't. Did see one small bug in bathroom but I think that comes with the climate and surprisingly it didn't concern me that much...normally I would have immediately checked out if I saw a bug. Came back for 1 more night before flying home...yes I gave it a second chance because of price and location. Second 1 night stay was even worse. My niece who lives on the island joined me for the last night of my stay and when she pulled out the sofa bed it was horrible. After a call to the front desk and housekeeping...well 4 calls because no one answered the first 3 times we dialed...we were eventually moved to another room...it gets worse so I took pictures. I'm not a hotel snob but I expected better given the reviews. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

Loved the view from our hotel. Close to the beach and shopping center. Great restaurants on the beach.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Good budget hotel"
Good for a budget hotel with no frills, and convenient location. Two detractors...the "fitness center" has one old machine that you can do two exercises on and an elliptical that doesn't work properly, and if you ask where to get breakfast early, they send you over to ihop next door that charges $17 for a vegi omelet. Go instead to the 24 hour diner […] a few doors farther down for great service and food for 1/2 the price. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

I really enjoyed my stay. The Wi-Fi was very good and there wasn't a consistent password you had to enter every time you logged on. "Clean and friendly staff"
I love this hotel. Friendly staff and comfortable room. Internet is fast and easy to get on. Parking is a bit expensive and parking entrance meter doesn't read hotel key card well, always required multiple attempts but manageable. The perks is that you get 10%.off dining at nearby restaurant and discount at the zoo. Love it.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Excellent for the price"
Aqua Palms was clean, nice, and affordable. It was very close to the shops and restaurants in the Hilton Hawaiian Village as well as to local restaurants. We had a very nice stay here. "Let me check in early and that meant everything"
I fly through Hono often and need a place before catching very early planes. I end up paying a lot for hotels for very few hours, or having to store my bags with a hotel until check in time, despite my wanting to relax and chill after travel. The Palms checked me in at 0930. Awesome! Thanks! Rooms were small, but immaculate. Lacked a shower light.Genuine Expedia guest review
The hotel was worth the price. Rooms were small but you should not be in your room much while in Hawaii anyway. The paying for parking everywhere at 25 a night is a bummer though.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Crooked but Great"
The hotel is conveniently located near both Kalakaua Ave. (the main strip at Waikiki Beach) and Ala Moana Mall. The funny thing I found about the hotel is that the floors slope slightly toward the center of the building - a little disorienting at first, but I got used to it. There was a $25 parking fee, but that allowed access to unlimited in/out parking […] in a gated lot located right within the hotel - and parking Honolulu is tricky so this was a great benefit at a relatively low cost - no "pay as you go" parking that many other hotels and/or lots require. There is a 24-hour diner just up the block, an iHop next door, a friendly concierge service, great high-speed Internet. View were tricky due to other buildings in the way, but if you want to pay an extra $100 a day for a view that you can walk to within a few minutes, be my guest. Overall a great spot in a great place, at a great price! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
