When we arrived we were very excited to stay in the area. Lots of restaurants near by AMD within walking distance. The staff at the counter were very nice and welcoming. My initial reaction of the premises inside and outside was it was an old hotel. My guess is it was built in the 80's. We were given a room on the 2nd floor and when we walked in it […] was stuffy and hot. We kicked on the old ac unit and it blew very slowly even on the highest setting. It was only a 90 degree day so I expected it to cool off quick. After 2hrs, the temp didn't seem to drop at all. I went down to the front desk and told them I would like another room and they did it without question. They were very nice. The 2nd room was cooler upon entering and the ac kept it cool. The ac units are very outdated as are the furnishings. The beds were soft but comfortable for my wife, daughter and I. The room just felt old and dirty. The floors made our feet black when walking around and the tub had mold in the caulking. We paid to stay two nights. We went out in the morning and came back at 2pm and our room had not been made up. No one put on fresh linens and no one picked up the trash or the pile of towels we left on the floor. We decided to just leave early and spend another night there. For the price, we expected so much more. I would not recommend this place to others or stay there again. Read more

One of the nicest La Quinta's I have stayed at and that's quite a few. Great room layout & very confortable. Staff exceptionally accomodating. Addison was a great area to stay. Hotel has a very relaxing courtyard and lobby. Location is very good, however, you can sure miss the street. We missed it every time we went out, had to circle back to hotel. […] The problem is not big but it is a left turn at a light. There are so many stores, restaurants, trees, cars, etc., we just kept missing it even after we noted that OnThe Border is on the right exactly where you should turn. I am in the cleaning business so i understand that I may have a more critical eye than most people. The carpet in the common areas leaves a lot to be desired. I also feel for the price I just paid this hotel is not on a par with others in the same price range.

Upon arrival at the Hotel, check-in was polite and fast. It was getting late and we needed to find the Galleria and did not know for sure how to get there. The front desk advised that he would print me some directions when we came back from putting our things in our room. This hotel was pretty good overall. The outer appearance was appealing. The location was fairly close to the freeway, so travel was convenient from there. Although, the neighborhood was a little "low-scale". The service was pretty good. One recommendation is to request a courtyard room because it has an extra door that let's you go onto the courtyard. […] The condition of the room was fair. However, we closed the door to the courtyard one time, and a big piece of paint and plaster fell down from the ceiling onto the floor. It was about a foot diameter. I wasn't pleased with that. However, the service made up for it. The front desk was polite. I left some clothes after I had checked out, but the shipped them to me once I called them about it. Hotel was fine except that A/C did not work well. Made for a somewhat uncomfortable night. Breakfast, pool and rest of service was good. Unfortunately, they couldn't help with the room temp.

The only thing I didn't like about this hotel is that it has no restaurant so there is no room service. However, they had plenty of menu's from nearby venues that delivered. They also had a nice breakfast in the morning. The rooms and the property were very nice - more than adequate and up-to-date especially for the price. Especially great was the […] free shuttle to anywhere within 5 miles. That meant I could get to my conference at a different hotel and to the Galleria mall at no charge. One night I took a taxi back because it was so late and it cost $15 bucks, so the free shuttle is of great value. Read more

Good Service and facilities. The young man that checked us in could not locate a vaket cart so he helped carry our verry heavy luggage to our room and made sure to be available for our checlk out in case we had the same situation. We had lugage from a 3 month stay over seas!

Very good hotel. Excellent part of town. Right down the street from many good restaurants. We got away from town for a long weekend. Staff was very friendly and able to suit my kids,1,2,&4 yo. Recomend to everyone!
