"Wrong room, no comp."
The first night, I was told there might not be a room available for me. They ended up placing me in a room significantly smaller than what I had paid. They were able to move me to my reserved room size the next night but I was never reimbursed for the first night.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Although the hotel went through a recent upgrade it felt dated, especially the lobby. The rooms were quite pleasant but nothing special design wise. My room was on the backside of the hotel and doesn't offer much of a view, but i was able to keep a window open on a Saturday night and slept quietly through the night! The staff was very friendly and responsive […] to any needs - i changed rooms because of a noisy neighbor. It's self parking - which wasn't a big deal, but surprised they don't offer valet. The hotel is located in a great shopping neighborhood with a huge mall and Newbury St nearby. I would consider the hotel again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
This hotel is so convenient and the garage is a great extra. It was a very nice stay!Genuine Expedia guest review
It would be even better if they can provide shuttle service to airport or a quick tour to go around the city . Yes , I found they have a smart car but unfortunately they don't have enough staff to take me around .Genuine Expedia guest review
"Nice hotel and wonderful service!"
Loved the room, was a little warm for my taste, but I'm from Texas and we love air conditioning on blast. The concierge and bell hop's were fabulous! Was the best part. Ask for Norman and he will take care of your every need. Would recommend.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Great location. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Our rooms were not available when we arrived (1:00 P.M.) but receptionist made sure we had two adjoining rooms. Doorman always greeted us and had great advice especially restaurant ideas. Hotel was very clean, modern and friendly staff. Hotel cleaning staff was inconsistent as to amount of towels, glasses etc they would leave each day.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Wonderful experience! Great Location!"
Fantastic location! Staff was very kind and helpful. The hotel was clean and comfortable! When we return to Boston will book again at Colonnade!Genuine Expedia guest review
Brasserie Jo, the French restaurant next door is amazing, as well as 2 very fun and friendly bartenders! I have been in Boston 3 times in the last year and all three times stayed at the Colonade.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"A nice place to stay convenient to Back Bay."
While the lobby was straightforward, the rooms were up to date, and the roof-top pool and bar were nice.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Disappointing for the price"
Disappointing overall for the price. Service very poor compared to other hotels. Wouldn't stay here again. Toilet was blocked; no free wifi; very noisy with thin walls; shower pressure very high and unadjustable...front desk service unfriendly. False Fire alarm went off. "Weekend getaway with the family"
The hotel is in a great location and the staff were accommodating but the room very small even though it was supposed to be a luxury double...Definitely overpriced! The overnight parking charge of $42 is ridiculous also. Let me not forget the $74 room service charge for 4 items.. Pizza, Caesar salad, chicken fingers and Mac & cheese.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Amazing! Beautiful room. The staff was very friendly, gave great recommendationsGenuine Expedia guest review
Comfortable if you stay on the south side of the hotel. If you like quiet and solitude.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great proximity to all attractions"
Easy checkin, parking and services, helpful concierge, delicious restaurant in hotelGenuine Expedia guest review
We stayed at this hotel for a last min getaway for the kids. It had a roof top pool which the kids loved...it was a bit chilly up there, but the staff and bar manager were all very friendly and helpful, especially to the kids. That is a definite plus. The bar manager actually went looking of a kick board for our daughter when we forget her swimmies. […] She was thrilled. It was a great location, right across from the Prudential mall and easyT access to anywhere in the city. Overall a great experience, and I would go back there. the room was a bit small, but we were hardly in the room. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Pricey, but a very nice stay"
It's a very nice hotel, but to charge $42 for parking is way too high compared with other nearby garages. I also thought the price of a night's stay was too high.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Loved the room"
Roof top pool, concierge, spacious room, all were great. However the bed had a distinctive list to it, as if a very heavy person had slept there many nights. We were there for only two days and did not notice until we had unpacked and it was late at night. I did not want to have to repack so it was my fault that we did not mention the bed to the front […] desk. Except for not being able to sleep well, it was a great stay. Beautiful hotel, very clean and in a good area.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
This hotel has an excellent location near shopping and transportation. Bathroom was a little snug, and I thought the comfort of the room wasn't quite up to the high-priced standards, but overall it was decent. Rooftop pool makes it worth it.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Resting at the Colonnade Hotel Back Bay"
I returned to Boston after a ten-year hiatus and stayed at the Colonnade. I previously lived in Boston for four years and had lived in the Back Bay area. So, I knew that area. I was there to relax, enjoy a service at the Mother Church and do some revisiting of old stomping grounds. It all came back with ease like riding a bicycle. I walked on Boylston, […] Commonwealth Mall, the Public Garden and shopped at Star Market which was Shaw's. The room was really nice and the scenic view allowed me to even pen a poem and a make a blog post. I would highly recommend the Colonnade Hotel at Back Bay for those staying in Boston. "Great pool with great food"
Loved having the pool for summer and the food there was amazing. The kids especially loved having a break from touristy stuff, but it was also great to have a T stop right outside the hotel, and the prudential center across the street with a duck boat starting point.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Good location, great accomodations."
This hotel is centrally located in close proximity to everywhere visitors to Boston may want to go. One of the best things about the hotel is the friendly staff and nice restaurant that serves inexpensive breakfast in the morning. The American breakfast includes eggs, sausage, ham or bacon, orange juice and coffee with today for about 15.00 dollars. […] Lovely. Also the hotel serves as a stop on the Trolley tours where you can hoop on and off all around town. This is an inexpensive way to move about Boston and quickly visit all the primary spots without having to worry about parking our paying for cabs. About 35.00 you also get ahabor cruise and access to the Boston Tea Party museum which is a great value for the overall cost of the trolley. This us only for Colonnade guests. The rooms are lovely clean and have been modernized. They all have refrigerators with miscellaneous food items you can buy, plenty of outlets for your mobile connectivity needs and great beds. Slept like a baby with the down pillows and comforters. Only criticism is that they do not offer free internet. This seemed a bit archaic...you could pay for access but not free. It was available for free in the lobby business center I believe. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Only can say how great it was"
My family and I stayed here for 2 nights, and everything about the stay was terrific -- the rooms were clean and spacious, the rooftop pool was a big hit, staff was courteous and prompt, and the hotel is in a great neighborhood, with access to everything we wanted (and right next to a subway stop). The room was not inexpensive, nor was the on-site parking, […] but they weren't outrageous given the other hotels in the area, so we felt we made the best choice. Rooms very nice. Staff pleasant but not well-informed; gave wrong directions, couldn't get morning paper request.Genuine Expedia guest review
This hotel is in a great location. Close to shops and restaurants. Trolley stops right in front which is a great plus. Room was great, bed very comfortable. "Good area but expensive for what it is"
We stayed at the Colonnade to celebrate an engagement. The area itself is nice, especially if you end up taking a duck tour. You can walk to the pickup spot in a matter of minutes. Copley Square is right around the corner which is always interesting for restaurants and just overall cool atmosphere. I will say though, that for over $500 a night, the […] rooms are small and ordinary. Now, being from NJ we aren't Boston citizens so this may be the norm for the city. You do get a little bit more room in New York for that money though. Not a bad hotel at all, but don't expect anything exciting for your money. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great spot near Train stop and convention."
I loved this hotel and will definitely be back. It was modern inside and out, I enjoyed the large room - probably one of the biggest Ive stayed in for business in some time and I travel a lot. Location was perfect as I even walked to the Cheers bar, Italian Hill section and Faneuil Hall! I should have taken a taxi however from airport. "Snobby Staff in Beautiful Hotel"
Staff was stuck up and extremely rude. It was my first time visiting Boston and the front desk rolled their eyes at questions I asked about the city. I was deeply offended when I was not even offered a map of Boston, meanwhile the man at the front desk offered one to another person checking in. Besides the horrible attitudes, the hotel was decent. Definitely […] not what was advertised. The room was dark, with only 3 small lamps. Lets just say I will never be returning again. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
We arrived at the Colonnade with our 17 year old and 5 year old to visit some Boston colleges. We were given a handicap room in the back of the hotel. It was small which is fine but the rooftop pool was closed that day ( they explained that it can close for private events but then why even offer it as an amenity, we had a disappointed 5 year old after […] a day of car travel. Additionally, we left an ipad behind by mistake and called within 3 hours of leaving the hotel and it was nowhere to be found, so someone in housekeeping is enjoying a new ipad, very, very disappointing. "Close to subway and nice room"
The room was very clean and the beds were very comfortable! The concierge was very helpful with questions and suggestions of what to do/see in Boston in the short time we had. It was dog friendly which is a huge plus! All the front desk loved my pup :) The good: bed, size of room, amenities such as gym, pool) The bad: The AC would shut off sometime […] in the night and struggled to stay cold, which was odd. Crazy drunk half naked guy pounding on the door at 1:30am, but the staff dealt with him rather quickly. It was just odd to see in a upper class hotel. I recently stayed at the Colonnade with a friend. We were very pleased by how close the hotel is to the T station, which is right outside the front entrance. "Very nice room and close to the T"
Stayed two nights at the Colonnade and found the room to be quite comfortable and only steps away from the Green Line of the T. Our room was very spacious, comfortable and clean. We didn't use any of the hotels other facilities (pool, restraunt etc.) but based on what I saw, I would assume they would be quite nice as well. A special shout out to Danny […] at the concierge desk who arranged a car rental for us with just moments notice and negotiated with the agency to waive the airport drop off charge as well. "Terrific value & location!"
Relative to other comparable back bay hotels, the price was much more reasonable. The hotel itself: clean, elegant, classy. All staff were exceptionally friendly and positive. The Prudential T station is literally outside the front door. "Don't stay here for the pool"
Rooms were nice and the staff was friendly. We did have a clogged bathtub and sink but maintenance fixed it quickly. I chose this hotel for the roof top pool. Do not choose this hotel for the pool. We used the pool 1 1/2 hours until asked to move to the already overcrowded other side because they rented out our side for a party. The pool area was rented […] out: whole rooftop 2/4 days for parties; half the area for 1/4 days. The area is not large, maybe 50 chairs. Their huge residential building (20? floors) next door also gets access to the pool. Additionally, the Colonnade advertises to the public to allow access for a fee. (We heard it on a trolley tour.) The pool area was very crowded, making it unpleasant. It is also advertised as an after work hangout and lots of people stood in suits and dresses around the pool in the evenings. My children were uncomfortable and my 15 year old refused to swim there. I spoke to a manager who offered me a cocktail for the inconvenience. He said that was why they never rented the area out for two consecutive nights (half-rented and public access doesn't figured into that equation). It was too small for an 11 story hotel, 20+ story residence and a huge business community. I would never choose this hotel again. They should rethink their advertising and be considerate of the guests. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

Shower pressure is awesome. Bed is comfy. The cleanliness. Not so much. Dirty socks in the closet...not mine. Used shower cap in the bathroom..also not mine. The tv would just shut off.
