"Over all ok"
Aside from being charged a pet deposit, that hotel.com said I wouldn't have to pay the overall stay was fine.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Decent place for overnight stay in Cameron, MO."
The hotel is clean, the bed is very comfortable but the furnishings are showing a bit of age. I wish hotels in this category would spend a little more money on towels, but the bed linens were quite nice. The breakfast was just okay, but hey what do you expect for free? The outside area is noisy with a lot of truck and highway traffic nearby, but we […] didn't hear anything inside the hotel and slept throughout the night with no interruptions from outside noise. Overall, I would stay here again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"didnt stay due to pool."
did not stay at the comfort inn in camoron mo due to pool being out of service and we had kids there for the week end. it is not the first time the pool has had problems when we have been there. we always have stayed there when we go to see grand kids in the area. had to go to days inn and check in.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"nice but needs work"
This is a nice hotel and area. We've been coming here for years on our way home from the Nascar races in Kansas. However the facility is starting to show it's age and is in need some improvements in the pool area & rooms.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Modest but adequate"

We stayed at this modest 2 story facility in late January of 2014. It is very conveniently located right on the intersection of highway 36 (eastbound from St. Joseph, MO) and interstate I-35 northbound through Cameron MO. The modest price ($77) included indoor heated pool, waterpark type waterslide, indoor hot tub, free hot breakfast (the breakfast room and many (if not most) rooms had signs on them saying they were being renovated. They had an elevator, interior hallways, large but worn king suite room (We assume it had not yet been renovated) with extra sleeping couch, microwave, refrigerator, wifi, and flat screen TV. The king bed was a good bed. The staff was very pleasant and knowledgeable (they steered us to one of the nicest restaurants on our entire trip!) We would recommend this facility and would definitely stay there again ourselves.
"Large room for family of 6"

Nice room, clean, nice indoor pool with large slide and hot tub. Bathroom did not have a fan. Hot breakfast but sausage and eggs were on the cool side. Waffles turned out kind of weird but kids ate them. Had 5" of snow the night we stayed and parking lot was not plowed by 8:00. Cars were getting stuck. We had 4wheel drive so didn't have a problem.

We stayed in this motel for 1 night on Friday, September 20. The next day I began itching from red spots on my arms and chest. By Sunday, I had multiple swollen bites. I found a bedbug in a basket of writing materials I'd had on the motel floor. I was able to kill the bug, look at it under a magnifying glass for positive identification. I called the motel and was told I'd be refunded the room charge. I'd rather have paid for a night without problems than be refunded for having bedbugs. The place appeared clean and staff were initially helpful but there was no place else I could have encountered these bugs.
"Clean room and nice staff"

Clean room and nice staff, free good breakfast and hot tube and pool overall great stay. The staff was very friendly I had key trouble and front desk staff came up stairs to resolve it. The hot tub worked well and the pool area very clean and I was late for breakfast but the still let me get food.

We stayed here in late August and it was one of 7 Comfort Inns we stayed at on our trip and was the only one that we didn't like. The outside of the building seemed run down to me. The rooms were drab, had a little musty smell and didn't seem to be cleaned very well. There was no micro wave or refrigerator in the room - the only Comfort Inn that didn't have one on this trip! The beds were comfortable and the breakfast buffet was the good standard one that we had grown used too ( eggs, sausage, waffles, pastries, fruit, etc). The staff was friendly and gave us a great restaurant recommendation that was a few blocks away - Dino's Diner - great food.

Rate was reasonable. Was nice to find hotel on North side of Kansas City at 10PM. Room was decent, however at times caught a wiff of cigarette smoke in the room and in hallway. So a 'smoke free' room is still subject to addicts smoking elsewhere.
"Was the best option along the road"

We stayed here on our way through Missouri after all the hotels in Liberty, MO were full because it was "summer". The hotel could use some updates, there were some small holes in the comforter and the sink was cracked, but it was clean and the front desk staff was very courteous and welcoming. (Unlike one of the ladies at McDonald's next door for breakfast the next morning!) The pillows were small but there were a lot of them so us and our boys slept comfortably in the the double room. The pool was very small and the waterslide had pretty cold water according to my son. There is a small hot tub in the pool area though and the breakfast was adequate and had things from yogurt to muffins to juice, so we would consider staying there again if necessary.
"Strong Smell of Smoke..."

There are not many choices to stay in Cameron. If you are a non smoker stay off of the 2nd floor. Coming right off the elevator the smell of smoke takes over. With that being said not so much in the room but wow did the hall STINK!!! Our 2nd bed creaked extremely loud anytime my son rolled over. Again, not too many choices in Cameron but will really need to think about my options. What I like about the hotel is the location...right next to the exit and right next to McDonalds for coffee and breakfast.
"Do not disturb"
We asked for a late check out when we came in and she said she didn't know that this was the first night she had been here alone. The pool and hot tub was out of order due to the rain. It was an OK hotel but need some upgrades. Also housekeeping even though we had a do not disturb on our door knobbed and proceeded to come in. That woke me up and I was not happy that was before 11 and we got in real late and so I was more than upset.
"Never again !!!"
The only thing upgraded since the 70's in our room was the TV. Side chairs were so filthy with God only knows what kind of stains that my wife and I didn't even want to sit on them. No fridge, no microwave and a saggy, ancient mattress. Not even worth $50 per night, let alone the $80 we paid. I'm a Choice Priveleges program and I say that this one should be removed from the "Comfort" franchise...
