The hotel is clean. The rooms are spacious; the beds are uncomfortable. The breakfast room is chaotic! Too many people in one small room. We tried the breakfast the first morning of our stay and only went back for coffee. Probably would not stay here again.

At first look of the hotel I was concerned about the location. Though the area looked a bit run down, the location was so convenient to all attractions. The hotel was comfortable and the family rooms were excellent

Black mold on bathroom walls. Air conditioning unit leaking water on carpet. Needs a thorough deep cleaning! Messed up my reservation. Locked out of my room twice in two days. Bunk beds are cool for kids, but they don't have high enough bars to protect young ones from falling out:(

Very pleased with this hotel! We had a suite and it was very roomy and comfortable. Enjoyed the breakfast, very plentiful! We would definitely stay here again! Very close to Seaworld.

We needed a break so we booked here, and then headed to Old Town for Cinco De Mayo (which would have been great but for the torrential rain...). The room was nice, looked out onto the wetlands across the street, and was on a dead-end so minimal traffic noise. We were really upset to see the pool was demolished when we got there, but we were directed […] to a neighboring hotel's pool to use instead complimentary. The other pool was really nice, so no complaints. The bed was deceptive, looked comfy, but really NOT comfy. Way too firm for my taste. Staff were super nice, walls are well insulated. I liked the mini fridge. Good spot, but there's no way to walk to the trolley so we had to wait 30 minutes for a cab. Read more

Front desk rushed me through when I checked in late because of a long drive. When I was checking out a Front desk had to ask another agent how to charge a different card and print while she was helping someone else. He then started putting down the agent that checked me in to divert attention. He clearly shouldn'tve been allowed to assist anyone until […] further trained. The hotel is ok- we took a family trip with 3 small children the room was very tight for us. It had 2 queen beds and a sofa couch. We also had a very expensive stroller stolen out of our truck and the hotel did not offer us anything except sorry. Not my idea of great service. Next time I will spend the extra 20 bucks a night for a nicer hotel.

Overall, the hotel was fine. My only complaint was the sofa sleeper. The mattress was very thin and lumpy. It sunk in in the middle and you could feel the springs. The sofa was made of cheap leather which was peeling off. It was the worst mattress I have ever slept on (not that I was able to sleep at all on this one).

We loved the convenient location! It was easy to get to many tourist spots in San Diego. We did not love the lack of a microwave in our room. The pool was nice. Maid service took our dirty towels but did not restock so we had to call. It was clean. Breakfast was okay and crowded. Staff was friendly.

Overall it was a good stay. Room was comfortable except for the sofa bed, it was torn and tattered. We were told by the front desk staff that the new owners were in the process of changing these out. Bedding and mattress were clean so once I removed the sofa cushion all was well. Have stayed here before, overall good.

At check in the lady at the front desk was rude and made it clear that we were bothering her by wanting to check in a couple hours early. She thend said if we checked in then we would have to pay $30.00 more. We agreed and then she said we also had to pay to park, when I told her my reservation stated otherwise she said we still had to pay. We booked this hotel for our family Sea World Trip. We picked the room with the double beds & pull out sofa. We have a family of 6 & we liked that there was a sliding door to separate the pull out sofa. The ones who snore slept in that room lol Make sure to have a child or 2 sleep on the pull out sofa as its not too comfy for an adult. We all ate breakfast […] at the hotel which was good because it's free :) Although no one in my family liked the scrambled eggs or sausage. We did like the waffles (you make them yourself), bagels, cereal, yogurt & danishes. We will come here again in the future, my kids loved staying in a hotel. This was a family vacation, 2 adults and 3 children aged 11, 9 and 6. I specifically chose this hotel because of the room configuration that was offered: 2 queen/double beds and a sofa bed separated by french doors. The room was clean and well maintained and I was very happy until we (the adults) tried sleeping on the sofa bed. The mattress was about […] 3 inches 'thick' and had coiled springs which were worn and had rusted through. My husband and I tried laying on it, but the the steel bars under the mattress kept digging in to our shoulders so we put it on the floor. This was marginally better, but neither of us got much sleep. We didn't ask to change rooms that night because the kids were already asleep. The next morning, I spoke to the front desk and the agent there was VERY helpful; she showed us 2 more rooms with the same configuration however, those sofa beds were just as bad. Eventually, we moved to a Kids Suite; not ideal, but at least we got some sleep. So, in a nutshell: the sofa beds at this hotel are not fit to sleep on however the service was excellent and the hotel is clean and otherwise well-maintainted. Read more

We went with our 18mo old and stayed in a kid suite, the french door divider was sufficient. Though you can hear quite a bit of noise, it was ok, too bad for our neighbors who probably suffered more than us. Parking is tight, but do-able. Breakfast is fulfilling, but crazy since a ton of kids and families stay here. I wish the rooms had a table & chairs […] for families eating in- which we had to do for 3 of 5 days due to breakfast room remodel. It would've been helpful to have access to a highchair for this purpose. Otherwise, the room was fine. We aren't very picky so the price and location was ideal. Unfortunately they didn't have the waffle machine up and running and our room smelled of spices. Other than that everything was just fine.

Our stay was pleasant although the breakfast room was way too small for the number of guests trying to get breakfast and they couldn't keep it stocked up fast enough. Next time, I would be sure to get a room on the 4th floor because we heard the people walking in the room above us. Pool and jacuzzi were nice. Staff was nice but very busy.
