Strongly recommend this hotel. In fact it looks better than the pictures. Everything was clean, free wifi, pool... Located about 15 minutes walk away from the main "strip street".Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"quaint boutique hôtel off the strip"
The place was funky and cool. Definitely caters to a younger crowd. We had a view of the parking lot at first but then they moved us to a garden room. The view was very nice, still facing the pool as well but the only draw back of the room is that this hotel allows you to bring your pets and I believe we were moved to the building where people had their […] pets because our room was evident of that with a bit of pet odor. Not a lot of people staying here so the pool bar was never open, but inside the bar was open 24 hours a day so that was convenient. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Clean and close to hard rock, good value."
Nice hotel. Good prices, small bar area. Rooms were larger than average with a couch, and jacuzzi tub in main room and bathroom with shower separate. Either small balcony or patio depending on your floor.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great hotel, beautiful property, sluggish AC"
Rumor is a great boutique property with modern rooms and a really great courtyard area. Prices are usually very reasonable. Its the kind of place you'd expect to pay $200 - 300 a night if it were in San Diego or Scottsdale. I live in Vegas, but stayed there recently because our house had a plumbing issue. The one complaint I have about the past two […] times I've stayed there is that the A/C unit in the room is pretty under powered for Vegas, so it can get a little stuffy if its the wrong time of year. To their credit, I didn't ask to be moved...but it has happened two for two times (and I've heard the same from others), so I think they just have a fairly old system in several of the buildings that could use a little update. "A nice Hotel with a lot of promise"
The Hotel was very nice, it has been completely remodeled and is trying to be very upscale in appearance. It looks like they are trying to attract the 20 something crowd and has a party-type appearance in the bar/lobby area, the pool area is very nice with private cabanas, whirlpool and large swimming pool areas, very open space common areas. The room […] color scheme's are interesting but inviting...the rooms are clean and walls are well insulated which is highly desirable in Vegas...in room tubs are nice as are the ceiling showers... The cons: A room tax per day (currently $11.25 on top of room rate), Extra charge for refrigerator in room ($10 per day), $150 hold on credit card during stay, Room Service prices are VERY inviting but they don't mention the room charges IN ADDITION to the listed prices for food (ex. A bacon, egg plate + oatmeal + 2 coffees listed near $25 on menu came out to over $45 after room charges)...YOU SHOULD DISCLOSE ROOM CHARGES ON PRICE MENUS !, The bar area was nearly empty every night on a Holiday weekend !, and the lobby staff was not really that friendly.... The room was disgusting. It smelled awful. The bathtub was grimy. The carpet was covered in crumbs. The walls had stains on them. I think the room is painted dark grey to hide the filth. There Isn't enough lighting and i think it's also to hide the filth. The front desk girl had a bad attitude (no idea what her problem was ). I didn't have a need to […] interact with other staff. "Close to the Strip - no casino"
Very intimate contemporary environment. Excellent limited menu restaurantGenuine Expedia guest review
This is a nice off the strip hotel. The only complaints i have is that the AC did not work and the bed was stiff. Other than that you cant beat the price.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"ok in a pinch"
found a cricket in the bathtub crawling around. The shower tiles were stained so they were either not well maintained or needed replacing. Dark room so unless they add reading lights, there is no way you can read in there. On the first floor so couldn't open the curtains without the world looking at me. But having said all that, I liked the ease of […] checking in and the location was close to the airport. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Ghetto Luxury, Too Many Surcharges"
From the photos, I was thinking I was getting a phenomenal deal. After I factored in the hidden $12 resort fee to the price, I'd have just as soon stayed somewhere else. This is hardly a resort. Most of the staff was friendly, but I did get a few awkward blank stares and pauses to reasonable requests. The reason I call this ghetto luxury is because […] it has the initial wow factor when I walk into the room but the furnishings are cheap and there was a dead roach in the bathroom on my arrival to greet me. The shower was also not clean and had a hard water white film all over the floor. I wouldn't even go in it. The biggest plus was the tub in the room. Not a jet tub, but it was big. There is also not nearly enough parking, forcing most people to use valet. They tried to charge me $4 for a Keurig coffee instead of including a coffee maker in the room, and the bogus "resort fee" was for 2 purified waters. Just stay somewhere else. Too many nicer places to stay. I get the vibe that the owners are struggling with this hotel and were forced to cater to a lower paying crowd. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"reasonable pricing for hotel off strip"
our experience was fun, a lot of couples around (like us) some families, very chill and relaxed atmosphere, very mature. overall the hotel looks nice and has a great feel. we only spent time there to sleep, didnt get a chance to experience the bar atmosphere or restaurant. i did enjoy the pool and jac for a while.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Not worth what I paid for!!"
I had this room prepaid when I arrived so I could plan the expenses. When I checked in they had to hold 75 dollars for any expenses that may occur while I was there and then they would return it at the end of my stay. No big deal but when I received the bill in the morning I was charged a "hotel resort fee". First off I was never told about this "fee". […] Second this hotel wasn't nice enough to be a "resort" and third I received no special treatment then I would staying at a normal hotel. Next, the entrance of the hallway smelled very strongly of weed and by the middle of the night the smell had come into my room making me feel nauseous. I called the front desk to let them know and all they did was send the security guard down to check it out. He seemed very sketchy over the whole situation. Last but not least, at 5 in the morning the fire alarm started chirping and we had to take the battery out. No apologies for it. Over all I was very disappointed and I thought the walls were very thin. I could here every sound coming from the hall way. Will never stay or advise anyone to stay there. "Good Hotel for the price"
I enjoyed my stay. The hotel was down the street from the strip and from the convention that I was attending. The only thing I would have had differently was that there was little to no samples in the bathroom. I didn't bring soup or shampoo for myself because I'm used to most hotels offering them in the bathrooms. And when I arrived all I wanted to […] do was shower and I had this little tiny sliver of a face bar to wash myself with and no shampoo. :( Also, the breakfast in the bar was super expensive for what is was. But I experienced this in all of Vegas. But I wasn't prepared to spend almost $20 on eggs, bacon and a cup of coffee. So that sucked. Other than that eveything else was cool. "NOT IMPRESSED WILL NOT BE RETURNING EVER"
Awful customer service. Greg the front desk guy was so incredibly rude and condescending. You know, out of all the hotels in Vegas, we chose to stay at yours and what a mistake. Do not waste your time or money here. There are too many far better places to spend your time and money. We arrived at 5 am and were told we had to wait for him to finish what […] he was doing before he could check us in... (looked like he was balancing his til, counting receipts? Who knows..) If you have rooms readily available and guest that have already paid for the room via hotels.com I think it would be common courtesy to allow the guests to check in. Not "shu" us away to the couches in the lobby in the most rude manner ever, and make us wait for another 45 mins and charge us a $25 early check in fee. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Quiet and Casino-less"
We selected the Rumor because it was off-strip and had no casino. We exactly what we wanted: A quiet clean room without all the frenzy of the big casino hotels. The room was clean and well decorated. The staff was friendly. You do have to tell them what you want, though. Not all the junior suites have the raised tub. You need to request it when you […] book your room to have the best chance of getting one. One downside is that it is only a two story hotel. You cannot get the great views that other hotels have simply because of its short size. Our room was on the first floor and overlooked the street and the Hard Rock Hotel. We would stay there again. "Great boutique hotel!"
I thought everything was very well designed and laid out based upon taking over an existing property. If you're looking for a stylish place off the strip, you really can't beat this. There are restaurant options in the area but it is a long walk to the strip so you're limiting some of your options but such a great place if you're looking to chill in […] Vegas. LOVED our stay and I would for sure book this hotel again. What a wonderful hidden gem. You don't feel like you are in Vegas until you leave the hotel... which I love. The rooms were beautiful, large with great beds and a nice little patio with chairs. The only downer, no coffee pot in the room which is common for most of Vegas, but this hotel could […] get away with it since it really does not have that "Vegas" hotel feel to it. while the rooms were clean and beautifully appointed, the issues were with the front end staff. rooms not ready for over 2 hours after check in time, window cover falling down twice during stay and no air conditioning for 2 days in the 100+ degree heat. and no safety seal on the shampoo, body wash, which means anything could be going into those bottles. "Las Vegas gem"
This hotel is just off the Strip but is NOT a casino. It is a boutique hotel, which marches to its own drummer. Great, spacious room! Many frills not in hotel rooms, such as your own hot tub. The restaurant is excellent, and try their specialties such as pulled pork dinner and shrimp and caesaar salad.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Had an amazing stay at the Rumor Boutique. Close enough to the strip to enjoy the sites, but far enough from the casinos and smoke. The customer service, food, and room were amazing. My only complaints would be some touch ups to the room decor, no coffee maker in the room, and a pool that could have used a quick sweep/clean!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We weren't at the hotel too much but it was beautiful and comfortable. Not too far from the strip, you can walk but its also only $10 cab ride.Genuine Expedia guest review

Bad Bad experience. Just stayed there for one night. Will never go there any more. "creatively decorated alternative"
This place has a great vibe going, and is an excellent alternative to staying right on the strip. You'll want to plan things to minimize cab rides, but they're not much more than they would be between spots on the strip anyway. You've got some excellent restaurant options right next to you, plus drug and liquor stores, and we hit a nightclub and the […] Rehab pool party right across the street at the Hard Rock Hotel.
