I think the Banyan Tree Bangkok is one of the best hotel i have experienced as like Hilton Suite Embassy and Ritz Carlton Maui. . The hotel is very good , not in the Siam center, the restaurant are so expensive that you cant enjoy time in the hotel. the service dosent have voucher or wrking relations with nagkok attraction so you need to do every thing for yourself and every thing in the room incloding slippers , and bath product cost money.

Stayed again, and again it was worth every dollar. While the hotel itself is not exactly "walking distance" from most areas the overall comfort and view of the rooms make up for it. Thought be aware since Taxi drivers may try to rip you off since they'll assume your "rich" for staying there.

Location is good as it is close to the train making it easy to get to the Chatuchak market and other places. Bangkok spoils travelers with great hotels & services, so it is not easy to stand out from the crowd. This is my 3rd trip to Thailand this year alone, but the first time at Banyan Tree. Other than the rooms starting to show some signs of wear, the Banyan Tree remains one of the choice hotels in Bangkok. Staff and service are fantastic, and the view from the roof-top lounge and restaurant is unbeatable. Only real complaint is the steep price of breakfast. Very convenient to the embassy district but a 15 minute walk to the skytrain.

The Banyan Tree hotel is excellent in faculties and service. When we arrived, our room wasn't ready but we were very well taken care of by the Manage on Duty, Hong. There was even a birthday cake for me as they saw it was my birthday from my passport. I've stayed at fancy hotels before, but I don't remember the last time I saw a pillow menu with samples of pillows of different density/softness. All in all, the room is more than comfortable and fulfilled my needs. The lounge access was an additional bonus. I was given vegetarian food freshly made on request, all complimentary. I was there for 5 night stay. I like that the hotel has got a great view on the upper floor, the spa was great. I don't like : 1) the check in couldn't be slower, it wasn't even that busy at the time of checking in. 2) the breakfast area cannot seem to accommodate the daily flow of guest each morning, the staff don't seem to know where the empty tables […] are, keeps going back to check for available table while people wait in line. 3) water pressure wasn't strong enough, and didn't drain fast enough, I was standing in a pond of water 2 mins into my shower. This hotel exceeded my expectations. The room I was in was top notch. Extremely clean and very comfortable. But the staff is what stood out most to me. They were extremely friendly and helpful. I was treated like royalty during my entire stay. This is definitely a 5 star hotel. I will most definitely stay here again on my next visit to Bangkok.

The title says it all, strategic location excellent and impeccable services and awesome views from the rooms. I picked a suite and by God I got my money's worth and much, much more. Hostess, SPA and Vertigo restaurant management let me arrange a stay for a honeymoon couple and carry out expenses for them distantly. The service is impeccable. We chose Banyan Tree after dinner at Vertigo Restaurant. The menu choices were disappointing and pricey, but the views were sublime. The hotel itself was sub-standard and in desperate need of refurbishment. The room service was fine, but the Concierge and Reception staff were disappointing. On Friday, the day after the Queen's birthday, we were assured […] the banks were open. A couple hours and 20 closed branches later, this turned out to be incorrect. As we extended a few days, upon checking out, there was some confusion over their wanting to charge us the walk-in rate which was more than double the Banyan Tree website public rate. To their credit - eventually - they acquiesced and let us have the listed rate. Location is isolated and taxis are required to get anywhere. It's not a terrible hotel but we won't be staying there again. The Vertigo restaurant and Moon Bar are well worth a visit for dining, however. Read more

It is definitely one of the high end accommodations in the city. The staff is generally nice and polite. However for some staff, it seems to be out of the professional obligation of having to be polite to high paying hotel guests instead of being sincere. Some staffs seemed to have superficial politeness. Especially in the breakfast restaurant, many […] staff were unsmiling and seemed unhappy to be working. I can make this observation because I stayed five nights and saw many of them everyday. The breakfast opens at 6 but even by 6:40, foods are not fully prepared and there is nobody at the reception to seat you. I ended up hanging out by the entrance for five mins every day hoping that a staff would notice me. This waste of time must be unacceptable for business travelers. Overall, the hotel is good, comfortable and offers a nice stay. However, if you are a tourist, maybe staying in the Silom or Siam area may be better in terms of accessing the stores and nightlife in those area. From Banyan Tree, its either having to walk 15 mins in the heat or taking a taxi. I say its almost perfect because the hardware is perfect but the software aspects (staff / operations) don't seem to be up to the expectations of customers staying at 4+ star hotels. Read more
