Everything is ok about hotel, there is no bad thing i can say. Little bit older style and old looking room. Just small bathroom. A few 5-8 minutes away from metro.

Though not great, it was well located, worth the price and i would stay here again. My room was very small and had i been any heavier i wouldnt of fit into the bathroom. But it was clean, beds were comfortable. and the front desk pleasant.

This hotel is conveniently located - it's near everything that you need in Paris: restaurants, shopping district, metro stations, movie theatres, convenient stores and, yes, a church (St. Cecille's Catholic Chuch, which is situated next block. I had a great stay at this hotel, checked in early and they called room service and had my room made up for me. Room was spacious, clean, comfortable bed and a big bathroom, at least by Parisian neighborhood hotel standards. This is a 3 star hotel but remember that a 3 star in Paris is probably a 2 star in the USA. The hotel is nice and well maintained for the most part. Desk staff was very nice. They did their best to be helpful. Hotel location was fine. Ten-minute walk to 2 subway stations. However, our room was extremely small and had a very nasty odor. The odor was extremely troubling. But, we got used to it while in the room. The minute you left and reenter the room (for example, from the bathroom) the odor hit […] you again. Not pleasant. Another troubling issue was the hotel elevator. If you took the risk to get in and use it, the door was likely to smoosh you when it closed on you. Luckily, we were only on the second floor so we could avoid taking it. However, it was a hassle. If you had a room on an upper floor, it would be very annoying. Elevator was completely out of service at times. When it was supposedly working, you were still taking your chances that you won't get stuck in it, or have the doors close on you before you could get out of it. Hotel was adequate, but I would not recommend this hotel or stay there again. It wasn't as if the price was so inexpensive that it made up for the negatives of staying there. The hotel needs a little work and has a run down look to it.. The elevator shaft is apparently never cleaned. There is dirt and paper on top of the elevator module that the cleaning staff avoids cleaning. I asked for a wake up call the day I left. (I stayed 9 nights) I did not get it. Fortunately I woke up early. Went I went down to check out I mentioned […] the wake up call to the guy at the desk. He did make my wake up call to a wrong room. So me and the person who was woken up were both unhappy. It seems the girl who took my request for a wake up call made the error in my room number. oops. The hotel was overall very nice. The rooms are air conditioned and the beds are comfortable. The maid service is regular and fresh towels are placed each day. The hotel is pretty convenient to metro stops and is really just a short walk to the center of Paris. Lots of good restaurants to choose from in the neighborhood and it is a relatively quite neighborhood […] for Paris. The desk staff speaks multiple languages and is reasonably helpful when you are at the desk. However, you have to be prepared for a typical Parisian attitude when it comes to service. The French, especially in Paris, do not take the attitude that the customer is always right or even important. For example, the card in the room says that towels and other convenience items are available 24 hrs. However, we called one night after getting in from a long day of touring to get extra towels and they didn't have any. Our room had 3 people in it and they kept making it up for 2 people which included not enought towels. We asked the desk person to please make a note that three are in the room but that didn't work. We finally wrote our own note to the maid and she left more towels. Thinking the problem was solved we didn't leave a note the next day. That's right, not enough towels again. I lived in Paris for two years so you come to understand that a European hotel is not like an American one and you must just not expect that kind of treatment. For what it was, the hotel wasn't too bad and the price is reasonable. Read more

The Cadet metro station is nearby (a few blocks) which this line takes you directly to the Louvre. There are a few restaurants and patisseries nearby too. We stayed at a 3 person room, it was big, even though the bathroom was tiny. Everything was very clean, and nice. Staff spoke Spanish and English and were very helpful.

Hotel desk staff very friendly and willing to help in anyway. Location of hotel could be closer to "touristy" sites. But if you are looking for a unique experience in a quiet part of town, it is the perfect hotel. We just had to take cabs everywhere because it was not within walking distance to sites.

This quaint hotel is simple, beautiful and clean. Our room was quiet and comfortable, with large rooms and doors/windows that opened over the street below. Parents walked their children to/from school twice a day. The local cafes were an easy walk from the lobby, as were the Metro stations.

Staff were actually super friendly and nice to me; communicated very well in English and were actually willing to help me as a tourist (something I did not experience in other hotels while in France). We had a pick up booked for Charles De Gaulle at 7:00am and didn't get picked up until after 7:35am!! Then when we did, we were jam packed in a van with other people headed to the Airport! The driver had no clue where to drop us off or where our airline was located within the airport for that matter. Unfortunately the great hotel service was out-shadowed by the very poor "shuttle" service they contract out, otherwise this would have been a great overall Paris experience. We chose aida opera on our recent europe trip because of the best western reputation for quality and value. As expected, the room was large than enough to fit only a bed and nighttable and the french staff's courteousness was terse and abrupt. However, our bathroom was also unusable, as the light was not working thus making it unaccessable at night- […] the only time we actually were in the hotel. Despite notifying the front desk about this issue immediately, it was not taken care of. Also our television did not turn on and our air conditioner did not turn off. Sleeping soundly was also an issue because, aside from the voices coming from the hallway and the adjacent rooms, there was a drainpipe running over our bed ( yes, a drainpipe) which woke us up in middle of a 2 am rainshower. Our room was on the fourth floor; the roof (and the drainpipe's opening) is on the sixth floor. Go figure. Read more

We recently stayed at the Hotel aida Opera in Paris and had an excellent experience. Although the rooms are small, they were very clean. Appreciated the bilingual staff who could help us with directions, etc. Very good cafes within walking distance. The only downside was it was difficult finding the hotel. I would recommend using a shuttle, bus, or […] taxi rather than the train if you have a lot of luggage. The train station has a lot of stairs which made it difficult moving luggage up and down. There were four of us (two teenaged girls, mom, and dad. We were all across Europe for the past three weeks and this was our favorite hotel among all the rest. The clerk that checked us in was very friendly, the room was actually bigger than we expected. We had a double bed and a foldout sofa that was made before we arrived and the girls seemed to think […] was ok - comfort-wise. The bathroom is large (with an actual tub and shower). Huge towels. A 10 minute walk from Gare du Nord. A five minute walk from Hard Rock Cafe. They let us store our luggage free of charge since our train did not leave until 9 PM. We were only able to get the internet working on one laptop at a time but we might have been able to get more access if we had asked. I don't think that there was A/C in the room but it was plenty cool. There were two free-standing fans in the room that helped cool things down after a long day of walking about. It was pretty expensive but we enjoyed it. We did not do breakfast because it seemed pricey. We found several bakeries nearby that were fantastic. Read more

This was a very short easy walk from the central and Est train stations. The neborhood feels empty at night but we loved the area out side of normal tourist hot spots, so food and drinks were much cheeper but we still felt safe and only a few blocks from 2 main metro lines.

But the wi-fi literally is not working, as i suspect the bandwidth is narrower than a clogged heart artery. I absolutely hate this hotel's internet, which does not offer a wired Ethernet connection, so basically you are out of luck, unless you have a smart phone and ready to pay steep pricing of roaming data.
