"Nice Hotel - Just far away from downtown."
Staff were exceptionally helpful..........and this made the stay both comfortable and very enjoyable.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Staff was friendly and the rooms were very clean."
We have 3 children under the age of 9yrs. So we look for clean and convienent hotels when looking for a place to stay. The double tree accomidated both cleanliness and convienence. We will definitly stay here next time.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Close to everything San Diego has to offer"
Great room. Huge, clean, balcony overlooking the pool. The free fresh baked cookies are always yummy. Doubletree never disappoints!Genuine Expedia guest review
"Comfortable hotel for cheer competition"
Parking was a nightmare! Poor Service at breakfast/buffet.Genuine Expedia guest review
Location was perfect. The service was great there too. It was a bit chilly sitting by pool while kids were swimming and I went up to an employee in restaurant there and ask if I could have some hot cocoa to take out to pool and she made me some delicious hot cocoa. (Not free!)Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We had a great time here at Double Tree. This hotel is close to everything!!! The staff is amazing and very accommodating! Special thanks to Amanda and Adore who made our stay special. The rooms are good and clean. We will definitely return.Genuine Expedia guest review
"DoubleTree by Hilton San Diego, CA (Hotel Circle)"
The hotel was fantastic! The service was wonderful and staff was warm and welcoming. The rooms were very clean and stylish. Location was close to nearly everything. The only down side is that you have to pay $18 for parking each day, so heads up.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Everything is great except for the parking"
This hotel is excellent and I highly recommend it. However, be warned: parking is $18 a day. So take that into account when looking at room prices!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice hotel close to USD"
The hotel was great and the staff were incredibly helpful.Genuine Expedia guest review
Our stay was all that we expected from a Doubletree. Laila and Liznett made dining in your restaurant such an enjoyable experience. Friendly and attentive. A real asset to Doubletree.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Location was good for visiting zoo and sites in SD. Parking is extra, $18 per night; breakfast not included and expensive. Front desk staff varied in attitude towards guest, some good and some not so good. This was the same way with restaurant staff. Many Hotels in this area, so I might check these out to see about the other expenses.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Overall service was good but only thing I had a problem was with cleanliness of the Hotel, I've stayed at the Irvine Location several times and we love it but this one seemed very dirty and found bugs running around our bathroom :( I'm so sorry but I have to be truthful, I hope this helps to improve your HotelGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Got a complementary upgrade for an extra room."

Went to San Diego to look at colleges and apart from the cleanliness and great help from front desk it also was in a great location.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"close to the event"
Very good location for our event.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Loved it . Very nice and clean .. I actually paid almost triple the amount at another resort , and wasn't as clean or modern as the double tree .Genuine Expedia guest review
"Easy to find, convenient check in/out"
Clean facilities and great, friendly staff! Close to beach and restaurants.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Nice hotel but needs free breakfast"
Nice hotel... but not a good place to be if you don't have a car..cab rides are about $10 one way to a close trolley station. It also needs free breakfast.... again a cab can get pricey and you are stuck there to eat and pay....Genuine Expedia guest review
"Close to must- see sights"
I was not aware of a daily parking charge at the hotel. I must have missed the fine print somewhere. Downtown San Diego sites where all within a few short miles. Interstate 8 is conveniently adjacent to the hotel without any noise distraction.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotel is really nice mostly older people in the hotel .however it was child friendly . The cookies at the front desk are really good ! I would definitely stay here again!Genuine Expedia guest review
"Close to everything"
Nice room and clean. Staff are friendly, the only issue is the parking it's to smallGenuine Expedia guest review
"Great Hotel for families"
This was an excellent hotel! Perfect location for trips to Sea World and the zoo. Will definitely stay here on our next trip to San Diego.Genuine Expedia guest review
"BEUTIFUL SAN DIEGO/ DOUBLE TREE BY HILTON"
EXCELENT LOCATION. VERY FRIENDLY STAFF. VERY CLEAN AND PEACEFUL. BUT JUST ONE INSIGNIFICANT DETAIL; THE TELEVISION HAD PROBLEM WITH HD PITCHURE. OTHER THAN THAT WILL COME BACK. CLOSE TO OLD TOWN SAN DIEGO AND SHOPING MALLS, RESTAURANTS, GOLF COURSES AND IF YOU HAVE TO GO ACCROSS THE BORDER IS ONLY TEN MINUTES AWAY. PAY PARKING, BUT , ONLY MONEY AND […] YOUR VEHICLE IS SECURE. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Close to Sea World"
The was hotel was neat, clean and comfortable. The pool area was beautiful the loved the pool and jacuzzi area, but the parking was too expensive ($18). I did not like the covered parking area, it was dark and cramped. It was suppose to be secured parking but the guard rails nevre closed not even at night.Genuine Expedia guest review
I was very unhappy with my stay here this trip. I stayed here previously on a business trip and the staff seemed more helpful and friendly then. Hotel room was not very clean, there were stains on the couch, sheets were inside out and had a hole that got bigger with each movement and the heater didn't work. Called down to the front desk for a wine opener […] and no one answered for 30-45 minutes till I had to walk down to the lobby. I was told the front was busy and that she was alone and nothing she could do, but no one was there when I came down. She then told me that she only had one wine opener and it wasn't leaving the front desk; I asked what she wanted to me to and she said can you bring the wine back down for her to open it; the doubletree hotel and only one wine opener; wow. I proceeded to ask if the security person would come up to the room with me and she agreed. Upon leaving I asked to speak a manager, of which I told her of my experience and her response was simply thank you for letting me know. I wouldn't stay here and I wouldn't recommend staying here. "My go-to hotel when I'm in town"
This hotel is secluded from the hustle/bustle of the downtown area, yet close enough to some major attractions, including Fashion Valley Mall which is just down the street. I make it a point to book at this hotel when I'm visiting friends.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Too noisy unable to get our rest wearing earplugs"
We love the room and hotel and especially the proximity but everytime we have stayed we have noise issues from other guests. Our first night we had noisy football fans next door to us. The last night we had noise from a girls team keeping uz awake even after call were made to front desk. Our previous trip we had a man drunk across the hall. After 3 […] attempts....it would take a free week before booking again! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Horrible Noise Problem!"
I stay at this hotel often. This last time, my next door neighbors must have had 15 people partying inside until after midnight. The Doubletree staff could care less. They came up once and asked them to quiet down a little. After 2 hours and 4 calls from 3 different guests, I called the police. They came quick and took care of the situation. Soon after […] the cops left I heard a Doubletree staff member come up and apologize to the party. I called Hiltons and they cared. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Not very happy"
We stayed in the family suite. It was small. The small table for the kids is the only table. We had two queen beds without much room to walk around. The beds were comfortable. The a/c did not work when we arrived, but they fixed it the next morning. We paid too much for the room. We were expecting a lot more.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Doubletree San Diego"
Hotel was nice, clean with friendly staff. Did not like having to pay $18 for parking! Found out parking fee after room was booked. Parking fee should have been added to the room price to be accurate for comparison!Genuine Expedia guest review
"Parking is $18."
Overall, the hotel was great. My only problem was parking, I don't mind having to pay for parking, but I wish that had been stated somewhere on either the hotels.com website or on the hotel's website.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Very enjoyable. All amenities available. Bar was a bit pricey.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Nice hotel. Good service"
The staff was friendly and the hotel was very nice. My only critique is that they should offer a shuttle to Qualcomm stadium.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
I'm disabled and I think it's unfair to pay for parking each day other than that I loved itGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Although the room was very comfortable and conveniently located, parking $ for a guest was pricey - $18 a night - and because of the location, you had no other parking options.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We stayed overnight on our trip to Sea World. The location was very convenient. Loved the breakfast. You have to pay for it, but it is a real breakfast. Friendly staff at the reception and restaurant. Parking costs $18 overnight, which is a bit on the higher side. Other places nearby have free overnight parking.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Overall average. We had a bad experience with some of the rugby teams staying there this weekend. We came home from dinner at around 8pm and found that the rugby teams were walking through the lobby with extremely inappropriate outfits on. (Some revealing inappropriate areas of the body) Staff in the lobby seeing that kids were present chose to laugh […] it off and ignore. This is unfortunate since we overall liked the location and cleanliness we will most likely not stay here again since we feel that we can not trust your staff to "do the right thing". My family and I had a wonderful stay and felt safe at all times. I have always been a fan of the Hilton chain of hotels. Thank you and the staff at the hotel.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

Due to weather issues we missed our connecting flight and arrived a day late. The desk manager was very understanding and worked with Expedia to refund the night's charge. The entire staff was very friendly.Genuine Expedia guest review
Location is perfect. Close to tram, restaurants, shopping, etc. etc... Upgraded room at no cost. Would stay here again. Great stay. Only negative is the $18.00 per night parking fee.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Noisy and uncomfortable"
This hotel is right across the street from a huge freeway, so we were a bit worried about noise. We asked for a quiet room when we checked in, and the lady at the front desk put us on the top floor. Sure enough, we couldn't hear the freeway. But that was only because the roaring central air system was even louder than the traffic! We both got back […] pain from the bed, and to top things off, there was some sort of soccer convention in town, so the place was swarming with screaming kids. The harried hotel staff were pretty nice, though. The hotel seemed reasonably clean, but I wouldn't recommend it. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Great value for it's price!"
Came here to stay for a girls getaway. Approximately 15 mins drive to Gaslamp. Rooms were clean and well maintained. Complimentary coffee in the lobby was amazing as it was hot and not watered down. The only issue I had was the staff at the front desk. For a one night stay I had approached the front desk area 4 times. All 4 times, the staff seemed lethargic […] and had no sense of urgency. There were a couple of times when I saw one person standing at the front desk and the other person behind her taking his time to do something and leaving the rest of us to wait.
