This hotel looked plain but turned out to be very modern and the staff was great, so it was a fantastic value. It was much less expensive the other hotel we stayed in in the Rocks. As a couple away from our kids, we enjoyed the multitude of coffee places, bars, and restaurants such as a tasty tapas place all within a short walk along the harbor front. […] The whole thing is very touristy but served its purpose. Location is right in Darling Harbour, with some rooms facing the harbor. The pub in the front of the hotel actually has good food, a great projection TV and lots to drink. Rooms are large, comfortable and clean, if basic. Service needs improvement, however. Had to argue with staff a bit to get free Internet as a Gold Passport Member.

The hotel is ideally located in CBD with walking distance to several attractions. We got a free upgrade to a room with King bed and harbor view. No breakfast was included in the price and breakfast was pricey (AU $ 30 per person)! This was not a problem as there were several options close-by in the Victoria Building.

Rooms are a little small but clean and nicely decorated. The location is fantastic--right on Darling Harbor and a short walk to Circular Quay. I would recommend this hotel to a friend who was visiting Sydney.

The Hotel was great. A five minute walk to Darling Harbour, 30 minutes to Circular Quay and five minutes to train station. The staff is great and very efficient. Advise not eat in the restaurant, expensive and food not so good. We will stay again.

The stay started badly with a nasty fish odor at lunch time from the dining room inside the front door. Fresh fish should not have an odor. Nice hotel, right on Darling Harbor. The boardwalk has lots of restaurant choices. Everything in Australia is expensive though. Free internet (in lobby) was nice, hard to find in Sydney.

It is located just few meters from the Darling Harbour. Excellent with several restaurants and things to do. They have an excellent dinner buffet if do not want to leave (it was raining and cold). I did not like the Room, small and I can hear the neighbor in the morning and showering. Did was not good as I work late and was with this noise to early. […] Try to avoid rooms in the first floor too. Also, bad that the parking is across the street. as it was raining. When checking out hotel wanted to charge for breakfast and had no record of " breakfast included" and claimed that breakfast is always an additional cost. The room was to be on the 2nd floor as extension to conference area. I have seen thsi before where special rate rooms are really rooms invented by the property to make a few extra dollars on rooms that do not fit their normal room standards. I have experienced this at several other Sheraton properties in the last 5 years. I provided SPG Platinum credentials […] and the room was upgraded to the Starwood Preferred Guest level by the manager. Notwithstanding the upgrade, this was a 2.5 star room but the property service level would allow me to say 3.0 - 3.5 star overall. Temporary roller beds with wheels. The carpet throw sloppily over the floor over the carpet below it and not even attached to the wall in 1 corner. Extremely basic finishings. Not at all consistent with Sheraton room standards. Temperature control is a nightmare. The first night we could not warm the room beyond 18 degrees with the split heater/cooler unit. The next day became warm and we could not cool the room below 24 after the unit was modified. You cannot open the windows to compensation but with the giant spider webs outside mine, I probably would not have opened it either way. The staff were extremely polite however it was not enough to make up for the room qualty and temperature issues. We left the property and went to the Four Seasons. Night and day. Read more

There appears to be collusion between the hotel and the restaurants in Darling Harbour. Several times when we sought suggestions on good local restaurants in Sydney from the concierge, the only recommendations they offered were the restaurants in Darling Harbour on the wharf. We ate at Nick's Seafood, which was one the concierge suggested and were greatly […] disappointed. The atmosphere was loud, service the worse we experienced in Sydney and the food average at best. Eating out in Sydney is expensive and there are many better restaurants, such as Otto's and LaPesa. I recommend to invest in the "Sydney Morning Herald Good Food Guide 2012" for the best options. As for the hotel, it was an average experience. The rooms were small and the bathrooms even smaller with little counter space. Again disappointing, given the cost of the hotel. It was our first time to Sydney and I would stay in the Rocks & Circular Quay or Woolloomooloo areas or even take the ferry and stay in Manly. We spent 5 of the 8 nights in Sydney and if we were to go back we would spend more time in the Blue Mountains, Hunter Valley and the northern beaches. Best shopping locations were the Saturday Paddington Market and The Rocks Market. The best place for buying great Australian gifts was from Ricardo Pewter. We found him at the Paddington Market. Bondi beach and adjacent beaches are beautiful. Make sure to do the walk from Bondi to Coogee beach. Read more

What a view!! Great location, great view, great room...internet that worked well in the lobby. No free airport shuttle but it was a perfect location 5 minutes to Darling Harbor and 10 minutes to Hyde Park and a 15 minute walk to the bridge and Opera House! Loved it!!!

Nice hotel, actually quite a bargain. Food is very expensive, but there are several places to get a breakfast. Weekday seafood buffet is a good deal. Room was comfortable service good, staff helpful, and it's in darling Harbor about 1.5 mile walk to Harbor Bridge, Opera House. Darling Harbor has lots of amenities.

Four Points at Darling Harbour had outstanding customer service! I'm in the hospitality business so I'm a harder customer than most, but the entire staff, from bellman to concegaire to front desk staff went out of their way to assist you and take care of anything you needed. Definitely would stay there again and the location was fantastic as well!

I stayed for the 10-the time in this hotel in a 8 year time frame. The location is just great and within 3 minutes walking distance to Darling harbor with a wide variety of good restaurants. Hotel however needs to be refurbished shortly since rooms are looking "old fashioned". Breakfast restaurant has slightly changed its serving, and coffee is "horrible" […] , looks that saving on coffee has been forced.
