Comfort Inn San Juan - San Juan

Our group stay was enjoyable, the location, comfort and cleanliness. The breakfast was also a big + as we stayed 1 night before our cruise and than 1 more night after our cruise. We would most definitely stay there again as this place was very reasonably priced in a great location.

Hotel was adequate but not up to typical Comfort Inn standards. Located on a side street in the Condado district of San Juan the hotel is conveniently located about two blocks from the main drag (Ashford). Our room was a non- smoking room with two double beds. Upon entering for the first time a strong mildew odor greeted us and persisted for our stay. […] The room was adequate but don' t expect either luxury or even pristine conditions in this hotel. The rooms and facilities show signs of wear and could use some TLC. The bathroom had mold evident in corners which could have easily been removed. Water dripping from an air conditioner unit above our room leaked through the window and pooled on the sill. There is a small pool in the interior courtyard that was a nice feature for children. The hotel's lone vending machine was a soda machine that was in poor condition. The free breakfast was decent featuring yogurt, small pastries, cheese omelettes, sausage, toast, make-your- own waffles, coffee and juices. Noticeably absent were any fresh fruits. In our opinion the hotel was fair, but upon exploring the immediate vicinity we discovered the adjacent unit, the San Juan Plaza Hotel, a better choice with newer and cleaner facilities and better prices. the noise of corridors and maid work are too laud making unconfortable to sleep, breakfast is everyday the same so if you stay there more then 3 days you dont want it any more.

We stayed one night following a cruise. It was all we needed for one night. The Comfort Inn is close to bus line and taxis. There are many shops and restaurants within walking distance. We just came to do a little shopping so basically the room served its purpose. The room reaked of mold and mildew the ac unit stopped working dueing the middle of the night they then switched us to a new room and that room reaked of sweat mold n mildew they were no wash cloths in the hotel so we walked to the walgreens to retrieve those items

My new wife and I stayed here for one night before we had to fly back. We picked the Comfort Inn because it was a lower rate for the location and it was a great value. It is located in the heart of Condado (near La Concha) and was close to restaurants, shops, bars, and the other hotels with casinos. Hi we stayed here and all the beds were moist and damp! Very uncomfortable especially for the price. We stayed here on the 4th as well and it wasn't as bad...so it was disappointing. The breakfast was ok...there were no eggs and the sausages were undercooked! wouldn't stay here again.

Very disappoined with this hotel. The room smelled oand was dirty' We requested,and got, a transfer to another room which was sligtly better.But overall the hotel needs major overhaul.We do not recommend this place.

My daughter & I arrived after midnight to San Juan and had this hotel booked. It was a fairly small room and the elevator was rickety. We were happy to have a comfortable bed to sleep in for one night, but would not have been pleased to stay more than one night in this hotel. It was fine, there was nothing wrong with it, but it wasn't spectacular.

I was not use to anything but carpet on the floor. I did not enjoy the tile flooring at all. The hotel itself is seems very old but everything worked. The staff was very helpful and pleasant. This hotel is not the nicest, but if you don't plan to be in your room too much, it certainly was a comfortable place to sleep each nice, with easy access from the airport and to Old San Juan. Also, there was a beach just a block away that was very nice. I do have to say that the service was EXCEPTIONAL!!! The people at the front desk gave great recommendations […] on what to do, how much to pay taxi drivers, and excursions that could be taken. There is a pool, but it is not heated, and is not in the sun for much of the day, so it is pretty cool (temperature). Great location, great price, but you get what you pay for- no carpeting, and fixtures in need of replacement or maintenance in the bathroom. Parking is also lacking on the premises for car renters, but there is a parking garage across the street with comparable rates.

We had stayed at another hotel in the Miramar area at the beginning of our trip to Puerto Rico and found that to be a superior value. The Miramar hotel had no availability when we returned to San Juan before our flight so we stayed at the Comfort Inn for one night. The staff was very pleasant and the location is central. The rooms, however, are quite […] small. But they were in OK shape. The hallways, unfortunately, are rather industrial looking and quite grim with very worn walls and all the doors in desperate need of paint. The pool isn't very welcoming. The breakfast was fine. The hotel is within a couple of blocks of Condado Beach and that, along with a relatively low price for San Juan, seems to be the major draw. We paid for 5 people and they gave us a 2 full bed room. The swimming pool is tiny and they only have 10 parking spaces, and of course we had no place to park.
