From apple martinis to zeppole, it’s no secret how this restaurant-laden neighborhood earned its nickname. Coconut Grove is also home to The Kampong, a National Botanical Tropical Garden. Nearby, Coral Gables displays a striking blend of Spanish colonial and Mediterranean architecture. Its Miracle Mile offers designer shops and art galleries.

Avoid getting a room with a connecting door to an adjacent room ... you could hear everything! Other than that, the hotel was fine. Undergoing construction of restaurant/bar area, but they kept the noise/dust to a minimum.

We had a luxury room with a view, which was fantastic. The room had a 40"+ flat screen television, mini-bar, and snacks (albeit very expensive). The bathroom was nice with marble countertops and all the conveniences of being at home. The bed was a very comfortable pillow-top mattress with plenty of pillows. I slept like a champ. The only improvement I would suggest is walk-way rugs on the otherwise cold tile floors throughout the room. Getting up in the morning was met with a quik jog into the bathroom where a thick floor-mat awaited. The restaurant was very nice (although I did not dine there) with cozy outdoor seating with amazing views of downtown Miami and a distant view of Miami Beach. The pool had a huge palm tree in the middle, giving it a very tropical feel while enjoying the amenities. This hotel is best for romantic getaways and/or venues that are within the downtown Miami area. If you're planning on spending a lot of time in South Beach, this would be a bit of a drive. So be warned.

This is the first time I stayed at the hotel, but my friends and I had a great time. Our room was huge! We had a king bed and a pull-out couch with enough room to bring in a rollaway bed. Our view was of the bay and the bathrooms are nice. I definitely recommend this hotel. The only bad remark I can make is the valet/overnight parking is expensive at $24 a night. Other than that, the pool and resort are beautiful.

The room was beautiful, but the problems we experienced made the stay "so-so." The first room was not what we asked for. The very nice bellboy said we were going to get a new room with a much nicer view. It wasn't: the tree fronds obscured all of the view except the ground below the trees. The third room was what we thought we'd reserved initially. However, the air conditioner popped on and off in the morning - awakening us before we really wanted to get up. The staff were nice and accomodating, but the difficulties expressed made the entire experience not so pleasant.

We encountered a roach in the room ... something you have to expect nearly anywhere in South Florida. The staff quickly dealt with the situation but made no effort to remedy it. Although good, the food was, comparatively, very expensive. Expect delivery charges, parking fees and automatic gratuities to be the norm. The location, however, was beautiful. The restaurant, in particular, was excellent (although expensive). The hotel, all in all, was well-maintained.

This is a lovely hotel hidden beyond the great city of Miami in Coconut Grove. Upon arrival the staff at the front desk were so accomodating and friendly. They even personally walked you and showed you where the elevator was and where our rooms were located. Beautiful room with balcony overlooking the bay. We stopped at the bar downstairs, very quaint. We enjoyed dinner outside on the bay. The service and food was excellent. I would highly recommend this hotel. We only stayed one night, but would be wonderful for several. They had a nice outdoor pool and grounds.

Our stay at the Grove Isle completely blew us away! It was heaven. We've decided to go back at least four times a year. The Staff were so helpful and friendly - they truly go above and beyond for their guests. Breakfast and Lunch at the Baleen are delectable! The Dinner menu needs some spoofing up and is a little pricy but the chef is willing to take special orders for meals not on the menu. My boyfriend and I ordered hamburgers with fries three nights in a row! Their burgers + fries are stellar! The entire hotel smells like coconut, it's clean and welcoming and I cannot wait to go back!!

We were to stay 3 days at the Marquesa but changed it to 2 nights so that we can stay in Miami longer, big mistake, we should have stayed there our whole vacation. It was just so pleasant. They have two pools one heated and one cooler- loved the heated pool and it was right out by our room. We didn't order breakfast just coffee every morning but it was right on time. Richard greeted us and filled us in on what was happening around town and his service was top notch, so was everyone else. It was like being at a bed and breakfast instead of a hotel. The room was so comfortable and nice, and please visit Henrietta (she was shown on Road Tasted on the Food Network) she makes these coconut strips that are so good and oh her cake. The people that cook there are also great, great cuban sandwich. We are going to visit this hotel as much as possible.
