The Westin was perfect! Stayed in a suite with friends for a weekend away. The hotel was clean and the service was great. The location is perfect for walking and dining in the old port and totally accessible if you want to spend time downtown or further North. No complaints!

We only stayed the one night at Place d'Armes hotel, on our way back to Vancouver and then home, but we wished we had more time, and will return. The hotel staff were both welcoming and efficient (not a combination one often finds), and the hotel itself was immaculate in every respect. The room was flawless in its design, the bed was soft enough to be comfortable, but not so soft as to feel like one is clambering from a bean-bag, upon rising, (as I found in so many hotels in the States!) I particularly appreciated that the designers had eschewed a bath/shower combination in the large bathroom, and installed a large, stone-clad, walk-in shower with a beautiful glass shower screen, instead. The location of the hotel was perfect for exploring Old Town Montreal by foot, which was just what we wanted to do, since we only had the one night. When we checked out, we left our luggage with Place D'Armes, mentioned when we would return for our flight and, when we did, a taxi was already awaiting us. Immaculate service.

Very comfortable room; close to airport - which is what I wanted.
Location.
Situated in the heart of Montreal, La Tour Belvedere is close to Canadian Centre for Architecture, Saint Joseph's Oratory, and Notre Dame Basilica. Also nearby are Bell Centre and Mount Royal Park.
Hotel Features.
La Tour Belvedere has an indoor pool, a fitness facility, and a pool. Additional amenities include a rooftop terrace, a concierge desk, and multilingual staff. Guest parking is available on a limited first-come, first-served basis (surcharge). This is a smoke-free property.
Guestrooms.
Rooms feature balconies with city or courtyard views. The 150 air-conditioned guestrooms at La Tour Belvedere include safes and coffee/tea makers. Wireless and wired high-speed Internet access (surcharge) is provided. Televisions are equipped with cable channels. Bathrooms offer bathtubs or showers and hair dryers.

The staff very helpful and polite. The hotel is extremely rundown.

This was by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The lobby was disgusting outside there was trash scattered everywhere. I had to hound the front desk to get my room cleaned which was disgusting upon arrival even after switching rooms it was still disgusting. Do yourself a favor and stay someplace else you'll thank me for it.

La Tour Belvedere offers a small kitchen with refrigerator, a couch that pulls out to a queen bed, and a queen sized bed. It was comfortable, clean and close to the subway. We walked to the Art Museum and could walk to shopping and movie theatres. There were good restaurants nearby. "La Tour is a great downtown location!"
This was a really good hotel to stay at! It's in a great downtown location, with Old Montreal and the Gay Village only being a short 8-12 minute drive! I loved that there was the kitchen to cook as well. I saved a lot of money just cooking instead of eating out, and it was nice to have an evening drink on the balcony as well. There's even a grocery […] store 2 minutes away from the hotel, walking! The only thing I didn't like about this hotel was that I saw a few bugs in the kitchen drawer. It's not something that's uncommon in a large downtown building like this in any large city like Montreal, so please don't let this discourage you from staying at La Tour Belvedere! I would suggest washing and dishes or cookware before use, just to stay on the safe side. Read more

We staryed one night at this hotel on November 19, 2011. They only had one worker at th front desk so that made for long lineups. The room were dirty, old furniture, carpet , appliances and bathroom. Actually the bathroom shower was covered in cracks in the tub surround, which let water run into the wall. The bed and pull out couch was HARD. Not as advertised. I am glad that I got the room 50% off, because I would have felt jipped if I had paid full price for that room. This building needs some updates, and I wouldn't think of getting into their pool. Back hurt after sleeping on the bed. Great location to get to the subway.

We booked a suite for our family of five at LTB and it was a BIG disappointment. The room had an awful odor. The sofa bed looked old and stinky. The hotel and the street it's on both are totally run down. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone with family. We feel like we were misguided by hotels.com regarding this property. "Great location"
We had a queen suite which was roomy enough for 3 of us. Nice kitchen, comfy, good-sized living room-dining room combo plus a bedroom. 19th floor with a balcony had a great view of the skyline and had a clear view all the way to the river. Issues -none of our keys worked once the first time. Had to get them reprogrammed every day and no, we didn't have […] them next to anything that would demagnitize them. The maid service on the first day wouldn't wait for 1 hour for us to leave so she could service the room. Great the rest of the time.Parking was at a premium unless paid for early in the day, the lot was full. Had to park around the corner all 4 nights. The hotel is remodeling which is a good thing.Even with these small issues, it's comfortable and it was priced right for us. The Hotel is fairly clean although I saw places that have been missed by the vacuum. The repeated painting in the room was obvious, not professionally done just slopped on. Bed and linens appeared clean and comfortable. Kitchenette was nice and cups and saucers available. TV was great and sofa was comfortable but did notice glass rings on the coffee […] table. It was nice. Good for people with basic requirement. Even though a little far from dt, it is a clean hotel with nice bed. They even have a small kitchen with all sorts of dishes :)

It was a great stay. Good for families. Close to all tourists locations and eating places. Even a grocery store is right in front of the hotel. I would certainly recommend it.

We went a weekend in April and the heat was turned off. Froze all night. My husband and myself slept on the pull out couch, kids used double beds. I have never slept on a more unconfortable bed in all my life. Sleeping on the ground would have been preferable. The springs were digging into us all night, from our heads to our toes. It is a central spot, staff is very friendly. the wifi only works in the bathroom ( dont bother to pay for it) I guess it was clean in a sense but not clean enough for me. the kitchen had everything to offer just dont look too closely. i am glad i didnt payed the full price.

My co worker and I found the room to warm even after turning the heat off. He has continuously nose bleeds. Window had to stay open most of the time. Found one of the front desk clerks not helpful at all when was asked questions. The penthouse area where the pool and what not is did not look look it was being cleaned on a regular basis.
