"Terrible facilities was the price for convenience"
Whilst the hotel was located relatively close to downtown Montreal the staff were not particularly pleasant & the bedroom in our suite had peeling pain & crack in the ceiling. Whilst our original reservation was for 2 the suite had ample space & linen for 3 ppl - however the staff at the hotel were very persistent in charging for another individual […] (even though the sofa bed was extremely uncomfortable). "Great for Down town"
i thought this hotel was great! They did a great job of always having fresh new towels and our bed tiddy each day that we stayed there. Provided us with a couple plates, bowls, utensils, a small shampoo, body wash, soap for us. The floor was clean, kitchen was tiny but good enough to use the stove or oven if needed. Even has a microwave and a steam […] pot, oh and a coffee maker which i found to be just perfect! Had a small tv in there too which was convenient when we got back tired from our sight-seeing. They have a indoor pool, sauna, that we could use! Also, you're able to go on the rooftop to have a spectacular view of the city! Service was very helpful to us! They made sure we had a cab to pick us up after our stay. Overall, for the price i paid, i think this hotel was perfect. It makes you feel at home. :) Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Don't rate hotel based on surrounding area!"
The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful, the hotel was clean and a good value! When we first drove up to the hotel we were apprehensive about our choice based on the surrounding area, but once we went inside the hotel we felt alot better. We really enjoyed our stay!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
the sheets were not rough, the doors were heavy to close and made so much noise when closing that I could hear when a door was being closed down the hall. Other than that, the staff were exceptionally kind, reception and cleaning staff. The whole place was clean and beautiful. It was very conveniently located near the metro, walking distance from sights, […] restaurants and shopping. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Spartan but convenient"
This hotel was no frills, but it was clean, in a safe neighborhood and close to public transportation. The staff were friendly and the price was great for Montreal.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great room, but bathroom needs work"
The location was fantastic. One block and half from the Metro; one block from St. Catherine Street (shopping and restaurants) and a few blocks from the center of the downtown area. Everything was within walking distance. We had a studio apartment complete with appliances, dishes, flatware. The one negative item was the bathroom which, although clean, […] had damaged walls and shower paneling. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great hotel - convenient and spacious"
This was a perfect hotel for our 5 day trip to Montreal. It was 2 easy blocks to the Metro. It is close to St. Catherine which offered many restaurants and 2 large grocery stores. Although the building and furniture is old, the rooms are extremely spacious and exceptionally clean. I would highly recommend this hotel for the location and value.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great location with lots of room in the suites"
This hotel was perfect for our 5 day trip to Montreal. It was 2 easy blocks from the Metro. The rooms were extremely spacious. Although the hotel is on the older side, everything was exceptionally clean. The staff were friendly and attentive. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good Hotel. Poor breakfast service"
We had nice rooms, and the reception staff was very cordial. The breakfast room and staff was completely overwhelmed with what they described as an unexpected number of guests. (Shouldn't they know who is going to be there?) Food was scarce coffee difficult to find. No staff to help. The $10.00 per person fee was certainly not worth the price.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Convenience to Metro & supermarket"
We are a big group & the kitchen helped us a lot with our budget. The convenience to the metro is also very helpful. Will come back again.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Convenient and Comfortable"
Having stayed at the Belvedere before I knew I would be comfortable; but the management has outdone itself with upgrades in every room. The old wall-to-wall carpets have been replaced with cool hardwood floors which are much easier to keep clean and just look very sleek. The kitchenettes still have older appliances, but they all worked well; and there […] were enough pots and pans, dishes and cutlery to prepare and serve our meals. The new business center just off the lobby has two computers for some quick email checks as well as internet connections to make show or dinner reservations. The other major upgrade was the rooftop pool area. There, the deck has been replaced with bright graphics and comfortable-under-foot, slip-proof surfaces. New chairs for the sun deck also were a welcome change.Just a block from the Atwater Metro station as well as from two super markets, a shopping mall and a few churches, the Belvedere definitely rates return visits. There is limited paid parking available at the hotel (first-come basis), although we didn't have much trouble finding street parking. The front desk and housekeeping staffs were courteous and helpful (fresh fruit on the front desk, too). Again, we'll stay often. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

Great hotel. One block from the famous strip.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"convenient location, reasonably priced"
The staff were very friendly, helpful and courteous. The room was pleasant and spacious, if a little outdated. The lack of shelf space in the bathroom to put your toiletries on was annoying, and the fact that there were no tissues supplied. I had not pre-booked a parking space so the lack of parking was frustrating. The internet should be free - did […] not appreciate the extra charge per night for this! "Everything was great."
We skipped on breakfast since if was little basic. Also, they need new elevators ASAP. On the bright side, taking the stairs to and from the 14th floor, help work off some of the great Montreal food we ate. I would definitely stay here again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Not so fast!"
The suite was great. The attractive initial price of $125/night was a trap as we had to add $16 for parking, $5 for WiFi and 20$ for breakfast (10$/adult, kids eat for free).Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Very old room"
In a last minute thought, I decided to use this hotel. The price was a little high but It was a great location. My room was very clean but you can tell that it was very old with paint peeling off, etc. Overall, it was a very high price to pay but it was definitely for the location and not for the hotel. I just needed a place to sleep for 6 hours. I […] didn't like that I had to pay $5 for WIFI... ? Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
The staff were very accommodating and informative. We needed a place to eat and they had some good recommendations. It's also really close to lots of downtown attractions.Genuine Expedia guest review
This hotel was the perfect middle ground for my trip. Its right next to St. Catherine's strip and the Atwater metro. We were able to experience downtown Montreal without the noise that comes with the activity. The pool was warm and well kept. Great views as well from our suite, the penthouse, and the roof. Adored the kitchenette which was very helpful […] to us throughout are stay when we wanted to make meals. The staff was friendly, but slow with requests. For instance we asked for more towels and pillows prior to the stay but didn't get them. So when we asked for more towels it took them a while to get to us... The price we paid was not worth the quality of our suite, but if we used all their amenities then yes. Also the images on their website did not match actuality. Other than that the hotel was a great pick. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
The furniture in the rooms needs some painting. Old furniture makes the room feel that no one takes care of anything which in turn makes the room "feel" dirty and unkept.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

For the most part I enjoy my stay in the Hotel. My room was clean and big. ( One of my friends came you to the room and could not believe how big it was ) I was on the second floor which was cool. I like the location, which was close to everything. I did not go to the fitness room or to the roof. When I to go back to Montreal I would stay in this hotel […] again. Hotel was great! Parking was my only issue. Neighborhood was very nice. The Balcony view was a great feature, as was the kitchenette. Everyone spoke English (I dont know a lick of French), and did not take offence to not knowing French.Genuine Expedia guest review

"old hotel but nice rooms"
Very spacious one bedroom apartment style rooms with kitchen and living room. Room was newly renovated and looked very decent. Outside of building and balconies was a bit run down... but at least they had balconies! Pool and gym were small but nice sun deck with decent view of the city. Good location right in downtown next to subway station and public […] bike rack. Overall good value for the money. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Excellent location. Close to restaurants and activities. One and a half block from subway station. Friendly and useful assistance front desk. Only minor complaint is the central air condition is either not on or not as effective. Since temperature is cool outside, we just open the window.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"La Tour Pee-yewww!!"
When you walk into the hotel you see a small, yet updated, lobby space. The rooms, however, were a clear departure from this. While very spacious, they definitely needed updating. The chairs at the table looked like they were taken from a cafeteria. The rugs definitely had seen better days and the room had a bit of a smell. We had a balcony, which was […] nice, but it needed a power-washing BADLY. The hotel itself, minus the lobby, also needed some work. When we got there, they were only operating with one elevator, so it took a while to get to our room. On the way out for the evening, the elevator was taking particularly long so we said we'd take the steps, but decided against it upon smelling (bad smells, again!) the stairwell. The bright spot of this hotel was the staff. They were extremely kind, courteous and helpful with everything we needed, printing directions out to our local destinations that we were driving to and overall pleasant demeanor. All in all, I guess i can't complain for the price we paid. If you'd like a lot of room for relatively little price and you're a betting man/woman who doesn't navigate steps and are willing to roll the dice on getting a less malodorous room, then go for it. For me, I'll probably look for some other digs on my next trip to Montreal Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"La Tour Belvedere Apartment Hotel"
This is a very old hotel. Its got 22 floors and only 1 working elevator when I stayed. Price wise its cheap, but you get what you pay for. Many stores nearby. The fitness center is a freakin joke. How dare they call it that.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

the hotel is very nice! condo was bigger then we expected! large living room, kitchen fully equipped (fridge, stove, microwave, coffeemaker, dishes, silverware, even potato peeler and wine-opener!), nice cozy bedroom! "Very convenient location"
This hotel has the best location. It's near the main tourists shopping streets, near the subway, walking distance to many attractions, plenty of restaurants and supermarkets nearby. I know rooms have been renovated but the room we got was not one of them. Although the room was super clean, the bathroom had peeling walls. Kitchen had all we needed for […] cooking. "great hotel for travellers"
The hotel has been upgraded so it is so much nicer. The rooms have everything you need. "Clean and good value for $"
The outside is a bit worn out but the room is comfortable, clean and a good size. Gym and pool are so-so but it is in a wonderful area in Montreal. Very slow elevators. Happy with the overall experience.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
I would recommend this hotel to any college students trying to go up to Montreal for a great weekend. The rooms are big and it is only one block from a liquor store as well as st Catherine street. Great stay.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
This hotel was nothing like the pictures on the site. The sheets on bed had extreme static between them which caused them to be useless unless you wanted to get shocked all night room had paint chipping all over and was very outdated. Parking was 18 a night. I would never return to This hotel as there are many other available in this area.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great location, perfect for 4 people!"
We had all the space we could need for four people, 2 double beds and a pull-out couch. The hotel staff gave us directions when needed. The metro was close by, there were a good selection of restaurants (Fast food, diner food, Korean, sandwiches, etc...), there was shopping, and the Forum (Montreal Canadiens former home arena) is near by and has a movie […] theater in it. The room was clean enough, nothing disgusting to report. The rooms were a bit outdated (visually), but everything worked and in the end, that's all that matters! "For the price, excellent aparatment style, comfort"
It was a little too far from the center of town, we still walked but by nights end we were exhausted. Metro station is one block away so that was great. The room was fantastic. "Dirty and run down, but close to Metro, shopping"
The carpets and bedding looked old and dusty. I felt like I wanted to wear sandals as soon as I got out of the shower so I wouldn't get athletes foot. The pillows were old and not very supportive and the TV was little and the old tube type. The pool on the penthouse had clean water in it but the astro-turf surrounding the pool looked cheesy and was […] prime for bacteria. They had pictures up in the pool area that looked like they were 1970's vacation promo posters. They were sun-faded and in no way set a mood that made you feel you were living the high life. They would be better off just taking them down. The staff was friendly and helpful though and the hotel is located about a block from the Metro, a shopping mall and large cinema. There are also several grocery stores in the area if you want to eat cheap and cook back in your hotel room. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
