The air conditioning unit is located in the sink area and is situated such that the sink area is cold while the rest of the room is hot as the air cannot circulate in the room. I wouldn't stay here again.

I was in Bishop for a golf tournament and chose this hotel for it's location. I was pleased with the condition of the room, the pool, and the comfort of the beds. The air conditioner blew really cold, and I actually had to turn it off half way through the night becase it was too cold. I did not, however, like that the woman at the desk didn't even […] check my tyep of reservation. I had already paid through expedia, and because she didn't bother to check, I ended up getting double charged for the room. The manager, who just got off of nigh shift and was sleeping, quickly came down and reversed the charge. It took aq few days to go back into my account, but it made it back nonetheless. Checking in the front desk woman complained about people using third parties to book reservations, said all the information doesn't transfer over and she doesn't understand why people think third party bookings are good. (slight slam in the mouth that feeds her). The hotel was very pricey for a Comfort Inn, but it had all the ammenities, great service, friendly employees, and very comfortable beds in beautifully decorated rooms. Wish I hadn't spent so much, but wished I was able to stay longer. Pillows are awesome! And the walk to Schat's Bakkery is very quick and easy!

I stayed in Bishop during my Mount Whitney dayhiking trip. The rates in Bishop more than compensated for the extra distance from Whitney Portal. Rooms in Lone Pine were ~$50 more per night. This hotel is in need of an overhaul! The paint around the edge of the pool is chipping into the water. In the room, a cabinet door would not close and hung open into the room. Our room wasn't ready when we arrived but the staff was friendly. It was located easily on the main road and we only had to stay one night so for that it was fine.

I needed a place to stay in the Bishop area, and was able to locate this hotel through Hotels.com. The first person I had contact with was helpful and welcoming. Sadly, he went off shift almost immediately after my arrival. The late shift person (as I step out after checking in to park my motorcycle close to my room): "You can't park your bike here […] overnight." As if anyone would leave a vehicle in the driveway overnight. I got into the room and found the air conditioner had not been left on by the cleaners. This meant, that at 9:00 PM, the room was still stifling hot. The AC unit was on the wall in the vanity area - as far from the beds as humanly possible. The sleeping area finally cooled off to comfortable levels at 6:30 a.m. The ONLY wall outlets available in the room was under the window - and it didn't work. The phone didn't work. When I went to ask about the outlet and the phone, I was told, "Yeah, we know." Tub was stopped up. Pool was FILTHY. Spa wasn't on and the water level was 12" below normal. Continental breakfast was minimal, and the lobby was so packed that I decided to get something else - somewhere else. For what they were charging for a room, I would expect all amenities to be clean, all items in the room to be functioning, and a staff that was polite and professional. Had I wanted a 1 star hotel, I would have found one, and not been so disappointed. I would never stay here again. Read more

Room was clean, bed comfortable though a bit hard. Air conditioner/heater worked well just a little tricky to figure out. Staff was great, continental breakfast was really great and gave us a chance to talk with other travelers, since the weeather was a real problem that weekend.

Capacité de l’hôtel, ne permet pas à tous d'accéder à la salle de restaurant. Il a fallu aller chercher notre petit déjeuner et l'emporter dans notre chambre. Notre chambre était mal située (au dessus du local technique) ce qui nous a obligé à mettre constamment notre climatisation qui étant ancienne était bruyante.
