Bathroom very large, little heat from the room made its way into the bathroom, cold all the time. Blanket on the bed thin, had to keep room heat at 68 to sleep comfortably. TV placed 90 degree angle from the bed.

We enjoyed our stay but there were some problems. They didn't key our card for all our days so we kept having to go to the office to rekey it so we could get in our room. They were happy to do so but it should not have been necessary. Pretty good deal for the $. 1.5 mi to Metro/Rail station to DC. Convenient to buses and some shops. Clean. Helpful management. Food in AM was OK. Was quiet and bathroom was decent. The staff was lovely, we drove in from being on the road 13 hours and they were waiting for us. The hotel appears to be going through a renovation and although it appeared that our room had yet to go through it's transformation, it was clean and neat.

The hotel was overpriced for the product. It was in a great/convenient location, but the bathroom was tiny and continental breakfast was subpar at best. The beds were comfortable and staff were helpful. I feel as though the cost per night was ridiculous in comparison to other hotels that were much newer, but overall it was a pleasant experience.

My rep stayed at the econo lodge and was extremely disappointed. The pictures on the web sight in no way rerpresented the appearance of both the room and motel. For what I paid for the room, I find it over proced.

I was very pleased with the location and felt quite safe walking from the Metro station to the hotel which about 1 mile. My initial and final contact with the hotel staff was very pleasant. I booked a Non-smoking room with 2 double beds, when we arrived we were told that we booked a Smoking room despite my printed confirmation stating otherwise. Parking was difficult due to large trucks taking more than one space...door did not clase properly,,,two lights in our room were not working maklng it very dark in our room.

This is not the place to stay if you are looking for a lot of amenities. However, if you want a clean, safe place to sleep at a reasonable price, then this will fit the bill. I did have to ask how to make the shower work and I had to borrow a hair dryer. Beyond that, the accomodations were all we needed.

I needed to book an inexpensive hotel for a last minute trip to an unfamiliar city. I booked the EconoLodge in Fairfax. It was the most dirty, disgusting hotel I have ever stayed in. The walls were dirty with paint and wallpaper peeling, there were tiles chipped in the bathroom but worst of all there were caterpillar type bugs on the bathroom floor!! […] I arrived at the hotel at midnight and only stayed long enough until the sun came up so that I could find my way to another hotel! I understand that this is an economy hotel, however, it should be clean and presentable enough for people to stay there comfortably. I would not recommend this hotel for anyone, even if you are on a budget! On another note for a solo young, woman traveler, this hotel does not feel safe as it is right off the road with a door leading right to the parking lot outside. Read more

Econolodge is just what the name implies. It is economical. Therefore you shouldn't expect a lot of amenities. When you are travelling all day and tired, all you really need is a clean, quiet place to sleep. This was provided here and the price was good.
