The staff was not very friendly on check in. Also, our door did not shut all the way. While the lock did work, it did not feel very secure being able to clearly see daylight all the way around the door. I would not recommend this hotel.

Location was close enough to walk to Main Street In Fredericksburg which we did both days, and the German pastries in the morning were delicious. We met many bicycle tourists who have returned to this hotel for 5-6 years to ride in an event which speaks to the quality of service and value of the Econo Lodge. stay was comfortable, room was clean, very close to main street. Breakfast was pathetic, they had only bagels and apple turnovers, plus some bananas. No cereals, milk, no hot breakfast, no eggs, not even breads. If you don't want breakfast, this is a very good place.

It is a no repeat stay in this motel. There was a refrigerated truck that run all night and that kept us awake until it left @ 6 AM. Receptionist can't do anything as she said when I complain. Management should not entertain guest that will cause discomfort to the entire facility. Oriental breakfast is perfect for person currently fasting. They served […] bagel and sour cream, cinnabon, tiny apples, banana, coffee without milk. Where is the oatmeal, milk and egg? Folks, don't try this hotel if you will stay overnight. The hotel did not live up to it's rating online. It was in a decent location and safe setting, but the hotel was quite run down and outdated. The door jamb was miserable, the carpet was stained and the bathroom floor grouting around the tub was disgusting! On the good side, the room size was nice. We stayed in Montgomery after this at a place with almost […] the same rating and everything was updated and very clean, the TV was up to date and there was a refrigerator in the room. The toilet was loose and it sounded like it was going to come apart. (It was uneven, so if you sat down, it sounded like it was going to tip over. ) The molding around the bathtub was breaking apart and falling off. Either the tile was dirty or it was designed to have that "brown" look...either way, I didn't want to test it out. The hotel was clean […] enough, but the amenities were outdated. I know I am not paying for a luxury hotel, as this was the only one available, but I guess I just expect more when I go stay somewhere. Very shabby place. Problerm with shower fixture which apparently they were aware of but we had to live with. They were astonished when we asked for some additional clothes hangers. Had to ask owners permission to give us the extra hangers. Avoid if at all possible.

The room had 2 queens and a fridge and microwave, w/ room to walk around in. No safe. Clean well-maintained interior, enough counter space for the wife. Functional A/C. It's no Hilton, but nice if you care about your wallet. Lobby had a PC and printer for guests, and a very tiny continental breakfast w/ German pastries (better than you normally get) […] and bagels, coffee, OJ. I still had to go out for a real breakfast, though. Friendly and courteous staff. Close to H.E.B., 5 min from downtown. We'd stay there again, no problem. Read more

When I checked in I was informed of an air condition problem in my room. I was told they had been working on it . I was offered a different room, smoking. I declined. Air conditioner worked on and off. Room was not really cool all night.

This was the only hotel in the area that we could book for three nights during the Labor Day weekend for a reasonable price. The layout was nice and the continental breakfast was good and well furnished with fruit, pastries, juice and coffee. The room was away from the main street and was quiet, but it appeared that it had not been vacuumed for a while. […] The bathroom shower had low water pressure and taking a shower was very time consuming. The sink did no have this problem. The air conditioner was barely putting out enough cooling to make it through the night. It was also loud and hard to adjust. The three beds were comfortable and the linens were clean, but the mattress and and box springs both had stains on the sides of them and looked very old. No signs of bed bugs though. Read more

I would not recommend this hotel! Our room had dead bugs on floor, a gap under the front door made it possible for bugs to crawl into the room. Window curtains were falling because parts from curtain rods were on window ledge. Hair stuck on bathroom floor. Room had a strong cigarette smoke smell. It just did NOT feel like a clean room
