The room itself was fairly clean, but had a strong mildew smell. We changed rooms and they both had the same issue. The outside appearance of the hotel and it's amenities was very poor, almost frightening. The clientele at this hotel was shady. The tiki bar played loud music for a better part of the night and on top of it all it's near the train tracks so you had that noise to look forward to as well. The reason we chose this place was because of the price and the fact that they accepted pets. However there are much nicer places to stay for just a little more money even with a dog in tow.

As a business traveler I was somewhat surprised by the level of activity taking place at the hotel. In spite of its fairly shabby appearance (and sketchy accommodations) the on-property bar was bustling when I arrived at 10:00 that evening and the front desk agent was quick to hand me a packet of information regarding services offered at the property. It was an inexpensive hotel but a cheap room. If I was someone looking to have a good time, perhaps the dingy room would have been offset by the party atmosphere. The staff, however, was very helpful and went out of their way to accommodate my requests. Just depends on what you are looking for, I guess.

The hotel was not Clean... The staff was not friendly and to top it all off I came back to my room, one evening, to find someone stading on my pillow in order to hang a picture on the wall. I procedeed to go to the front desk and the begrudgingly gave me a refund for that night...

The front desk area looked well kept and gave a good first impression of the hotel, but the walk to my room quickly squelched that impression. I had to pull my bags through piles of debris, furniture and matresses that were all over the sidewalks from construction, to an extremely old elevator I prayed would open to let me out (it did). My room seemed fine at first glance, but as I walked past the TV and dresser with a mini refrigerator and microwave next to it, all of the appliances and dresser rocked toward me and there was one part of the floor that I avoided from fear of falling to the room below me. I found (and had to squish) 2 german cockroaches (they come in swarms, so I know there were more, I just didn't see them...hopefully they weren't crawling over me at night) in my room - one in the bathroom and one above my headboard. When I called the front desk to switch rooms, nobody answered the phone. Switching rooms probably wouldn't have helped much anyhow... I would NOT recommend this hotel AT ALL! Though they are doing renovations, it would seem that the hotel should be in better conditions eventually, though I was appalled that the were even renting rooms with the hotel insuch shambles. Very disappointing!

I have stayed at hotel in which I payed half of what I payed here and the beds have been fit for a human being. This bed was in one word awful. I could have slept on the floor and it would have been better. If nothing else id good, I can deal with anything but I want to rest in a comfortable bed. This people need to change the beds or close the hotel. Goodness a slepping bag would've been better.

Awaken by a mouse getting into a container of food. A short time later a mouse returned took a chicken nugget from the nightstand. Needless to say I could not sleep anymore. When checking out, I informed the deskclerk about the problem. He said he would get management's approval for a 10% taken off the bill. To me, that was just a slap in the face.

This motel was a dump. Every part of it was dirty. We even had coach roaches in our room, the plumbing was faulty. the swimming pool was not usable, the carpet was filthy. The continental breakfast room was very dirty, no microwave, 2 toasters, but only 1 worked. All the table were dirty, chairs stacked in the corner. There was a very stuffy, stale smell to the lounge area. We had a six night reservation and had to check out after 2 nights. I would not recommend this motel to ANYONE!!!
