we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the accommodations for the price; especially after reading some negative reviews. The room was spacious and the beds were quite comfortable. Also the room was quiet.

This isn't the type of motel you seek out on a family vacation or romantic getaway. This is the place you crash after being in the car for hours and needing a break. For the price, location and brand of hotel, I don't know what people are expecting- it was a bit outdated, the "free breakfast" was a total joke and the room had that, "used to be a smoking […] room" aroma to it. But, it wasn't visibly dirty, the staff was kind (almost too kind- we spent 10 minutes checking out and chatting...) and the shower water was HOT. We stayed here several years ago and were very unhappy with the quality and cleanliness of the hotel. Only booked here this time because there was a major event going on and every other hotel within 50 miles was sold out. They advertised "newly remodeled" so we took a chance. Bad decision. It wasn't the greatest stay. Place was run down. Room was clean but needs updating. My room had a kitchenette that looked like it was falling apart. Reasonably priced based on surrounding area and the price of other hotels nearby. Front desk staff were very kind and helpful. Downfall, which is most important, is the cleanliness of rooms. This was the best hotel we have stayed at yet. The room was spacious and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. There was a well-maintained swimming pool. It had a kitchenette with refrigerator, stove, and microwave. The breakfast was continental but had 3 cereals, waffles you made yourself, English muffins, and donuts. The room was clean and stocked with the usual shampoo and towels (smelled clean too). The continental breakfast was much better than alot of places I've stayed. The pool was excellent, but watch out for the chaise lounge chairs, some of them need some attention (bolts missing that attach the back to the chair.) All in all,it was a very nice stay.

Luckily it was for only 1 night. The linen, even though clean had holes in them. The motel/hotel is very out of date. The entire place need an overhaul. Walls need fixing and the beds are so old. You have to see it to believe it. I was very dissapointed.

Hotel was located in a somewhat isolated part of town. Didn't feel very safe and the quality of the room was poor. Water was tint yellow and so was afraid to take shower. Phone did not work initially. Also, when I first got there the front desk was closed. Basically, you get what you pay for.

My husband was traveling out of town for a night and needed to stay in a hotel. I googled hotels in the area he was going to be staying and the Econo-Lodge popped up. I called to make a reservation since he was in route to his destination. I was answered by someone who was not an employee of the hotel and was just someone to book reservations. I needed […] directions and was informed to call another phone number and again was not in contact with the hotel itself. I finally got the number and called. I was greeted by a gentleman who spoke very bad english and did not understand what I was saying. I asked repeatedly for directions from Rt 13 North and all he could say was "Where are you now?" I patiently tried several time to explain to him that it was for my husband and that he would be arriving in a few hours and he finally said "he doesnt have a GPS with him?" I know it's crazy that some people travel without the latest technology these days huh? When my frustration got the best of me I told him I would have my husband call him. When my husband arrived he had the same difficulty communicationg with him, he was telling him that I booked 2 rooms, I e-mailed my reciept to my husband for proof and the gentleman gave him a print out of a reciept for a totally different price. At this point I am unsure whether we were charged for 3 rooms or one. My husband was left feeling very uncomfortable due to the lannguage barrier and was unsure of what was what. In my opinion I would rather spend the extra money and stay in a place where you are in direct contact with the hotel employee and if there is a problem you don't have to back trace the 3 phone number to try and find where the problem lies. I also feel it to be very important that you are able to understgand and communicat thwitht he person you are dealing with. None of this happened with our experience with this hotel. Read more

I booked this hotel as I was traveling to a friend's bridal shower in Princess Anne and the location was convenient to my ultimate destination. Mauvais service, une chambre sentait la cigarette et l,autre lhumidité. Il y avait des brulure de cigarette sur le couvre lit et des tâches....Lors de notre arrivé un messieur avait les pieds nus sur une table a déjeuner... Nous n,avons donc pas manger là en plus il n'y avait presque rien à manger. Nous ne retournerons pas à cet endroit.
