The A/C unit was loud - the mini-frdge kept making noise. The walkway outside of our hotel door had huge lights right outside of our window that stayed on all night and was so bright that the light came thru the curtains. We ended up checking out at 3am and driving home!

When we arrived the room and sheets smelt very bad. The next day we complained and asked to change at least the bed sheets but nothing was done. We aven wanted to go and look for another hotel. We did not cary even for the money that we were going to loose. Very big disapointment. We will never stay in this hotel again.

We were very comfortable and pleased this CLEAN renovated hotel. Don't expect marble floors and counter tops but it was very nicely decorated and CLEAN. The breakfast was a added bonus and great too. Will definitely stay again when in the area.

The room smelled great when we first walked in. The beds were very comfortable, the pool was recently updated and nice, the bathroom was in great shape. It's not a new place, but the updates were all really nice. Breakfast was way more than I expected as well. Would recommend it to anyone. Convenient to downtown and the airport. Lots of restaurants within a couple miles.

Staff was very helpful. Clean comfortable rooms and reasonable rate. Breakfast was excellent. No problems with wireless internet access. Great for short stays.

The hotel was very close to the airport and to what I was in town for. The room itself was adequate, but the lighting was a little low. I opened the nightstand drawer to see if there was a Bible in it, and in addition to the Bible, I found a roach running around. Bottom line, if you want a 5-Star hotel... pay for one. If you want a place to sleep for the night with a decent breakfast included, than this place fits the bill.

clean comfortable and reasonable

I was somewhat apprehensive as I drove down main artery from the airport leading to the hotel. There were definitely some business, lit in neon, that would deter families moving into the neighborhood. Even though the hotel was approximately 2 miles from the location that I mentioned, it was still located in an area that I would not walk alone at night. However, as soon as I swiped the door key into the floor level room, my thoughts changed. I walked from a warm muggy Tampa night into a fresh flowery scented room, which felt cool from the AC left on hours ago. The bed was clean, there was lingering odor from cigarettes and the bathroom was bathed in a night light. I did lock my door, as well as chaining it. No unusual noises filtered in. In the morning, I hit the complimentary breakfast buffet where they had: cereal, toast, muffins, danishes, bagel, cream cheese, jams, butter, fresh fruit, juices, coffee and tea. Nice experience overall and a good value for my investment.

I stayed overnight after a meeting in the surrounding Tampa area, and I was very pleased with the overall cleanliness of the hotel and the accomodations available to guests. I would recommnd staying here if passing through Tampa for a brief visit. The complimentary airport shuttle was my deciding factor when booking this hotel.

Stayed at the hotel after a concert we went to. The only issue I had was that the hot water pipes kept banging all night and it was difficult to get a full night's sleep

Great helpfull staff seemed to bend over backwards to assist. The carpets in the room need a cleaning. Wear somthing on you feet when in room.

Great for the price. A little old, but offers a nice breakfast, and convenience to anywhere we wanted to go.

Room was clean and comfortable. Parking left a bit to be desired, however it was liveable. I couldn't say about the contentinal breakfast becuuse I slept through it. Overall, no complaints!

Hotel desk employee very helpful even thou she was very busy.

We needed to be near the airport and Channelside and this hotel met that requirement hands down. 10 minutes to airport and 10 to port. The hotel was aging with no apprent recent renovations. "Delux" continental breakfast left a lot to be desired. Active paving of parking lot made it difficult to access our car but we managed. Staff went out of their way to try to check us in early.

I appreciated the hotel's price and location, as I stayed due to an early flight at the nearby airport the next morning. However, guests on either side of my room either had their TVs up loud or the walls are paper thin (I believe it was the latter). The man at the desk was kind enough to ask them to turn them down and they complied, but I was nervous about asking because I was a woman traveling alone. I also have security concerns when it appears there are long-term guests and not regular travelers. That should be disclosed if true.

Very helpful with the shuttle service offered, not just to the airport. Front desk staff also pretty informative.

We needed a hotel close that was cheap but clean and close to the airport for 1 night. The Quality Inn met our needs. The rooms were clean and that was important to us. The continental breakfast was nice.

We stayed overnight due to an early am flight. The price was more than reasonable. The staff was kind and thoughtful, the room was clean, beds were comfortable. The location was superb in regards to the airport. The only "problem" was that the pillows were too soft, which is a very common issue with most hotels - so I'll just bring my own next time. As we usually fly out early am, I will most definetly be staying here again! Loved it!

fair deal for the price and location...nothing fancy but what expected

I was very pleased with my recent one-night stay. The property was clean, well-maintained, and had many amenities, including a full length mirror on the bathroom door. This is a thoughtful accessory, particulary for a woman. There was also a fridge, coffee pot, microwave, room safe, and even an iron and full-size ironing board. Although it was a Saturday night and the hotel was completely booked, there were no noisy disturbances. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. When the hotel shuttle was completely booked, the manager gave me a ride to my cruise ship in his personal van. This property offers EXCELLENT value for the price and I would recommend it to anyone staying in the Tampa area.

not much to get excited about here but if you need someplace cheap on south dale mabry i guess you could do worse.

We were pleasantly surprised because we picked the least expensive hotel on the list. Great location, with Sushi, Subway, and Steakhouse within working distance. There was a refrigerator and microwave in the room. Excellent customer service too...

Shower wasn't really very nice at all and the "double beds" were only a double for 8 yr olds and younger.

It's the little touches that distinguish this place starting with the aquarium in the lobby and the computer for free internet use, as well as the outside bathroom windows and the gilt frame on the mirror. The only thing missing for breakfast is a cook as they had among other things hard-boiled eggs and a waffle griddle and batter so you can make it yourself, so it's not the typical continental breakfast. Makes me want to try other Quality Inns.

We stayed in order to access the Tampa General Hospital for an early am procedure. We were pleasantly surprised at the renovation work done on this older hotel. The room was clean and very comfortable and you would not know the age of the hotel by the room condition. The shower was great, and the breakfast bar in the am was great for grabbing something before we had to leave. The staff was very helpful. We actually tried the Grillsmith restaurant next door and were very happy with their service, and food. The location was close to many attractions and we found the Channelside Bay Plaza where we saw an IMAX movie and visited the Aquarium and many shops. It overlooks the piers for the cruise ships and had great clubs and eateries of many types. Defintely going back again!

This is a typical 2 star hotel. The term for the condition of the hotel is "tired" which means it is rather old and has not been renovated in recent history. The water from the taps starts out being brown and then turns to semi-clear after a period of time. It's OK for the money but not worth more than $65 dollars per night.

The hotel is recently renovated and the work was great. The rooms are comfortable and the staff was very helpful. It has an onsite laundry that was convenient. We like the locked gate at night to prevent unwanted traffic in the parking lot. Numerous restaurants and stores are very close, less than 1/2 mile of the hotel. The continental breakfast needs work, but is ok for a day or two.

Great experience overall - awesome room for the price. Located next to a Fresh Market, Walgreens, Publix - so finding food, medicine was extremely convenient.

It was okay for the $$; however was very old/dated. Needs some maintenance and updating to get a higher rating.

Hotel location was in convinient location, staff was friendly and helpful. There are many restaurants in vecinity, airport, port a short 15 min drive. Good value for money.
