If you don't mind a hotel/motel with doors that exit directly into the parking lot, this is not a bad place to stay. It's obvious this is an older facility, but the owner's have done a decent job trying to update the rooms. Plan on bringing your own shampoo, conditioner, etc as there's none in the room. It's a solid two star hotel. Big Al's, right next door, was a great night spot in easy walking distance. The facility itself was fine. Freshly remodeled, but let's see how that holds up over a couple of years.

This was hands down the nicest hotel at this price point I have ever stayed! I will being searching out Red Roof Inns on my travels from now on. The fact that there is not a pet fee and that they in fact pet friendly is awesome!

The room was large, but lacked a place to put suitcases except for one suitcase as most people have two (2). The shower was a concern as floor was wet from using the shower and although it didn't seem slippery it was a concern. The room was kept clean and well taken care of buy the staff.

Outside is a bit rough, but interior has been remodeled and is extremely nice inside. Second time staying here. We had broken toilet and phone and switched rooms easily and quickly. No problems after that.

The newly remodeled room was refreshing; however, the rest of the motel was in some form of remodeling phase and it seemed like a project that was dragging on?? Nice to see the modern improvements though. The only complaint I have regarding the room...the toilet would slowly drain and then the water valve would kick in and re-fill the toilet every once […] in a while. The noisy toilet woke me in the middle of the night, but it was quiet enough when I shut the bathroom door. I liked the hard surface flooring (clean) and my girlfriend loved the desk/make-up table with mirror. I would definately stay there again. p.s. It was ok, served the purpose. I was disappointed that their wasn't at least a small continental breakfast and the coffee was cold the second morning. The ice machine broke but the office personal had back up ice to give.

It was a very nice hotel for a 2 star hotel. It maybe closer to a 3 star. No breakfast but they had coffee 24 hours in lobby. The room was nice for the money. The only thing I would change would be the pillows. The were too large and not soft enough. However, we did not ask for other pillows. We would stay there again.

The price and reviews brought us to th RRI after having really bad experiences yrs. ago...we were pleased the reviews we accurate to our stay. Updated, clean, small yet very adequate. It was comfortable and the room was pretty clean. It was good enough for an overnight stay at Rockford. Close to the highway and places to eat. Although hotel was close to main street, it was still pretty quiet and I slept like a baby at night. The staff was helpful and nice.

Overall, it is a Red Roof Inn. It's not like we were expecting any Hilton accommodations. We only stayed in the hotel for 9 hours, but for what it was worth, it was a decent stay. The only qualm was that the room smelled a little funny. But besides that, it was a good stay. Great for an over the night stay before or after a destination.

My experience at the Rockford, IL Red Roof Inn was all positive. The room was simple but spacious. It had a nice, clean appearance to it. Everything worked properly, a big screen TV with plenty of channels including some premium, wall safe, small coffee maker, microwave and even an under-the counter-size refrigerator/freezer. It was very new, emaculate and attractive inside both rooms I selected. Love that the CherryVale Mall and WalMart are just across the way with all the restaurants you can imagine in walking distance. It was an affordable, pleasant surprise!

2nd time in a row that the desk service has been subpar. When I walked in, the person at the desk spent several minutes finishing up what she was doing instead of addressing me, the customer, first. If it's only going to be 30 seconds, fine. But don't leave the customer waiting like that. Then, she finishes everything, gives me the key...and that's […] it. She leaves me to look at the hotel map to figure out where the room is. I consider it standard customer service at any hotel to explain where the room is when you give the customer the key. Hotel is convenient to Interstate (I39 & I90) and not hard to get to. Parking was a little tight for my pickup with a 25' gooseneck trailer. The desk clerk was friendly and very helpful. Room clean and well appointed for the cost.
