pleasantly surprised...although the hotel is showing it's age, the room was very clean and comfortable. Having two diners within walking distance was convenient, also. I'd stay here again.

Took the upgraded room and it was still tiny. Service was awful. Called to get something and was told I would have to wait a minimum of 45 minutes just to get an extra blanket. Not going there anymore.

Great stay for just a few days. I wouldn't recommend staying more than 2 nights. The room was clean. The only complaint was that the comforter on the bed had a smell. Other than that it was a good stay.

It was fine for a place to stay at for a business trip, and close to the Philly airport. Upon leaving I saw the clothes from a previous occupant, in the corner, behind a chair. After seeing that, I started to wonder how clean the room really was, not looked.

Room was roomy enough and clean. Just stayed for the night to catch our plane in. Had trouble getting the room at a comfortable sleeping temp. The larger flat screen tv was a surprise bonus.

The only thing that was a bit discouraging was that the room was a bit hard to reach, I had to call maintenence to unlock the safe and the wake up call was a bit LATE -- about 20 minutes late actually but overall I am very satisfied with my experience at Red Roof Inn.

I had to run the air conditioner in the room because the heat would not shut off. Remember this is in the middle of winter in Philadelphia. Plus the internet service was out the whole night. I will not stay at a Red Roof Inn again.

Hotel is basic but I like the location because it's right off I-95 with free parking and has 2 restaurants within walking distance. Beats fighting traffic and paying exorbitant parking rates in Philly.

For the weekends that I am unable to make the 2 hour drive home and I have to find a place to stay immediately, this is cost effective and comfortable. Every time i have stayed at the Red Roof Inn in Essington, PA it was convenience and the staff were very friendly and cooperative. This time unfortunately the bathtub did not want to drain properly and […] I ended up having to fix it myself. As a woman, that's not a common thing to have to do but you do what you must sometimes. One more side-note to consider, the cleaning lady was shouting on either a cell-phone or at someone loudly at approximately 7am. I did not appreciate that very much but those were my only complaints. I was very pleased. Hotels.com as they found me the best room for the best price with all the amenities. Although the Red Roof Inn is located in Philly it was only 10 minutes away from Dream-Park in Swedesboro, NJ where I trial my goldens in dog agility. Hotel.com went out of their way to find me a place that allowed 3 dogs, and did not charge any extra […] for them. There was plenty of grass area to walk my dogs outside for potty breaks. My room was spacious with a king bed, refrigerator, big screen TV, microwave, large desk, clock radio, safe; and iron. They even offer room service although a place to eat is right next door. I ordered a double bed smoking room since my girlfriend is a smoker. It was very quiet and enjoyed the solitary when we slept in after our night out. The check out time is also great at 12 noon. Most places are 10am. Would defilnitley stay again. As for the food, Go to DENNY'S. Philly Diner not good at all!!!!

My hotel room smelled of smoke! I wish I was given an option of a smoking or non-smoking room. I only stayed there for 10 hours total and my luggage and clothes smelled like smoke after leaving the hotel.

I stayed here as an overnight sleep while I was driving through and it fit the bill perfectly! The rate was very reasonable and the room was clean and comfortable. I love their pet policy so I can travel with my dog and not worry about a kennel or extra hotel fees and deposits. I'll stay here again next time I come through.
