When I booked this hotel online it said it came with a refrigerator, after checking it I found their was no refrigerator in the room and called the front desk and they said they would bring one over. They never brought one over or didnt even call to explain why. Also we had no hot water in the morning, we couldn't take no shower. I booked the room about 10 days in advance and got 15% off--when I checked in the desk clerk gave me a lower rate. I was very happy until I was getting settled in at around 9:30 pm. Being very tired I just went to bed. I had driven around 5 hrs and arrived to frigid snowy conditions in the dark. The room did NOT have coffee maker (though I DID have […] the coffee and condiments needed to brew it)--- alsi did NOT have refrigerator and microwave. Hence, was a lower quality room at a lower price. Fair enough. I attempted to book a third night when my stay was extended. I called the clerk from my room on Saturday and he could not give me ANY TYPE OF SIMILAR RATE for the third night. Said manager would be in the next day and would have the ability to possibly give me a better price. The next day no one answered the phone at the front desk at around 8 am --- twice I dialed from room #106. Also--- the blow dryer in the room did not work---I had to go out with wet hair in frigid temps of 10-12 degrees. All in all a BIG DISAPPOINTMENT!! Read more

Underneath the only set of stairs is where the staff takes their smoke breaks. The smell was very strong. Also, you could tell that they do not clean their rooms well. The peanut we found on the floor the first night was still there when we left on the third day it is obvious that they do not vacuum the floors. Their premium cable channels are a joke. There is no channel guide most channels are fuzzy at times you could not watch the station. The room had a microwave just no fridge as promised. The breakfast was where the staff showed how lazy they were. The area was not kept clean, stocked, or checked up on. The 2 days that we were there we ate breakfast the front desk never had any business. They just sat there. They never checked to see how clean the area was or how the food was holding up. For the price of the hotel, it's a decent stay. The bed was comfortable, and the employees were very nice. However, the parking lot itself is in need of work, and the clock in my room didn't work for the most part - Set it initially, but it reset and the alarm wasn't working. They provide towels, shampoo, facial soap, and bath soap, although no hand […] soap was there. Food options in walking distance are limited. I was very pleasantly surprised. The room was very clean and the carpet and bedding looked fairly new. We did have a problem with the A/C but were quickly offered two rooms to fix the issue. we stayed Thursday and Friday nite and was very dissappointed in Friday AM contentiental breakfast. Hotel was out of regular coffee and bagels. Pastry selection was very poor. We went to Ohio for The Great American Rib Cook-off. We picked the Super 8 in Strongsville because the beds looked the most comfy out of all the hotels w/ pictures in the area. We'd rather stay a little further away and be comfy! We were right! The bed was soft and big, the mattress wasn't thin, and we just asked for more pillows. The ac worked great […] during the heat wave, the decor was nice, the breakfast was good for the price... my only peeve was the cream cheese was kinda frozen. Other than that, the hairdryer broke after using it for a minute and the TV remote needed new batteries...and that was no biggie, we just told the front desk when we checked out. For the most part, every employee we bumped into was nice enough, we experienced no real problems. Oh, and the location was super convenient for us, too. Stayed here for Cinema Wasteland at the Holiday Inn right across the parking lot. Very friendly staff. Room was clean and beds were firm. TV was very old so make sure you have at least a coaxial cable if you want to hook a dvd player. Not far from shopping areas and restaurants. Nothing special, but not a bad place to stay. Will stay here again.

The negatives of this hotel far out weigh the positives. The only compliment I can offer is that the hotel staff seemed friendly enough based on the short interactions I had. Here are the negatives: --The room was very damp, as was EVERYTHING in it, including the carpets and bedding. The room itself was clean and in good repair tho it was very small. It offered a king size bed which took up most of the room... I went to use the room phone only to find that it did not have a dial tone. I had to use my personal phone to call the front desk to ask about the wireless internet service that was supposed to be included and the reply I […] got from the desk was to call the tech support line myself and see what they could do because this girl did not have time to help me. Apparently there is a mad rush to check in at 930pm. When I called the tech support line he said that there was a help ticket in place and that it said the hotel staff was trying to arrange a time when they could reset the wireless router. hmm... The person at the tech center recommended that I take my laptop and walk to other locations around the Super 8 complex to try and pick up another signal and sit outside that room to use the internet. There are two buildings at this location and only one vending area, which was at the other building... bucket of ice+200yd walk to get it+heat index of 102 degrees+internet/telephone not working+horrible customer service= very unhappy customer.
