"Easy walk to must see sights"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
The hotel was clean, nice, the staff friendly and helpful, especially the Concierge. The location was great, within walking distance of many restaurants, and things to see in Amsterdam.

excellent location to the airport, service was excellent. Great to have a real "walk in" shower!
"Lovely staff, great location"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 4, 2012
The room was very small and a bit tight for friends. It would be nice for a couple. But the room had a cozy private terrace. And the staff was wonderful! The two desk personnel we encountered were helpful, went out of their way to make sure we had what we needed for a great visit and made a point of having what we needed before we knew we needed it. The hotel was clean, the food just right and always a fresh cup of coffee waiting for us. I would return without thinking twice.
"Amsterdamm layover"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 4, 2012
All the major museums are practically next door. We had a 24 hr layover at Schiphol, so we decided to take advantage. For 4 euros each you can take a bus to the museum station which is only a short walk to the hotel. Great shopping and dining is close by. Trams and canal boats are also convenient. The room is small, but efficiently layed out. Very comfortable bedding and air conditioning.

The bustling heart of Amsterdam, this district attracts hordes of visitors teeming from Centraal Station to Dam Square and its beautiful Nieuwe Kerk (14th-century). The oldest part of town, Oude Zijde, is famous for its Red Light District, but the University and the docks bring a different kind of colour and buzz to the narrow streets. Don’t miss the Oude Kerk, the Amstelkring Museum or the paintings in the Amsterdams Historisch Museum.

"A nice clean hotel in the heart of Amsterdam"
The hotel is conveniently located near the train station and just a short walk from the Dam and also from the RLD. Lots of eating joints of all tastes and budges in the many small pedestrian only streets around. The hotel was nice and clean, the room was slightly bigger than the average European room and it was great value.
"Impressed"
I have stayed at another hotel just up Voorburgwal and by far Inntel Hotel was a huge step up in service and quality. Internet was free (major plus) and the hotel has a very nice lounge area. Being located right next to de Wallen is a major plus for those wishing to have a peep (literally). haha I have stayed at three hotels in Amsterdam and this […] one if overall the best of the three. "Not a very nice hotel"
The hotel is OK but would not go back for the price. Rooms are small and not very clean. I know it is hard to find a good room in amsterdam, I have been there a couple of times but i would go next time for an american franchise. My room was dirty and staff are not the most kind. Location is great but there are many other hotels close by. I do not recommend […] this hotel. Read more

"Inntel Amsterdam - great location"
Great location, close to main station, walking distance to everything. Hotel was comfortable, great wifi. Only negative is that I had a room that looked on to the main street. On Friday and Saturday nights the noise from the bars below first and then trash pick up went on all night until 6am. I would still recommend the hotel, maybe just another room […] location. "The Inntel Hotel Amsterdam - great location!"
We were very pleased with all aspects of this hotel. It had recently snowed, but the walkways were clear and the 5 minute walk with our luggage from the central train station was easy. Souvenir and tourist shopswere all close so we made the most of our one day that we were there. The reception staff was very friendly and spoke impecable English. I highly […] recommend this hotel. The location is superb, easy walk from central station. The hotel is in a pedestrian street that conects to the pedestrian shopping street, with lots of places to eat and coffee shops, not bad neighborhood to walk late night, taxis and tram stop within 1 minute walking. Dam square 5 min pleasant walk Great staff. I walways arrive very early to Amsterdam, […] around 6:00am, and they always let me check- in at that time. "Location! Location! Nothing much else"
The yays - this is THE location to be as I don't remember even taking a tram to go anywhere - shopping, dining, canal rides, museums, etc. Its tucked away in a cozy, quiet neighborhood, but accessible to everything. Front desk is very helpful and sincere. The Nays - Bathroom is super tiny, even by european standards. But the main problem is that the […] housekeeping is lazy and terrible. Towels were not picked up, sheets were not even dusted, forget changed after 3 days (per policy), carpet was not vacuumed, bath tub was not cleaned....I could go on. I had to complain twice in 4 days. Also, I left some expensive make-up in the bathroom by mistake while checking out and when I called, they said there was nothing to be found. The housekeeping is singularly the reason I ding this hotel. If you are a clean freak, forget this place. But if you are flexible and location is top priority, go for it. Read more

"Inntel stay"
This hotel was very nice. Close to the train station and plenty of shopping and restaurants. I travelled with my family of 3 but the room was for 2 persons. The hotel insisted to charge for an extra bed, extra person, and ultimately an upgrade to a larger room. Recommend that you call ahead to confirm the number in your party. The staff spoke English […] and the hotel was quite pretty. I felt safe too. Read more

"Great location"
Good rate, great location, comfortable rooms. Three things to gripe about (1) during our stay someone vomited on the walkway between the two buildings and for a 3 night stay it smelled horrible, I'm not sure the hotel did much to fix this problem; (2) there is a surreptitious 1 euro "war child" donation on your bill, if you don't opt out of this donation […] at the beginning of your stay you can't get out of it when you check out; however, the hotel never told us about it when we checked in. When we checked out they just said that we had to pay our "taxes," and then levied this "war child" thing on us. It's a dishonest business practice. This brings me to (3) hotels.com charges you a tax, but the hotel also charges you for a tax for your stay, resulting in a double taxation which you have to pay additionally out of pocket when you check out. "Perfect Location, Perfect Room, Perfect Hotel!"
We booked a room at his hotel based on other travellers' positive reviews that we read on-line, and we weren't disappointed! The hotel is a five-minute walk from the central station and it's located near everything you could possibly want to see in Amsterdam. The hotel staff was very pleasant when we checked in. The room and bathroom were bigger than […] most European hotels. My boyfriend and I were able to move comfortably around the room without feeling like we were stepping on each other's toes! The bed felt like we were sleeping on a cloud, and the room was very quiet during the day and night. I also love how the bathtub was deep - and the hotel provided complimentary bath crystals, which I used three of the four nights we were at the hotel! My only complaint would be the housekeeper who cleaned our room. On one of the days when we returned to our room, we saw the bathroom had been cleaned and restocked, but the comforter and pillows had been messily thrown over the bed. When I pulled back the comforter, I found the sheets hadn't been changed and my damp towel, which I'd accidentally left on the bed in the morning, was still there. Aside from that, the four nights we spent at the Inntel Hotel were great, and I would recommend anyone traveling to Amsterdam to stay there! Read more
"Great location & good quality"
Hotel was only a few blocks walk from the train station and in a nice location - in a pedestrian area with a few restaurants and bars just off a major street. Easy walking distance to dam square, Anne Frank house, red light district, etc. Hotel itself had good appearance, seemed safe, was very quiet, and was in good shape. I didn't try the bar or breakfast […] area. Room was pretty small, but as expected, and better than comparably-priced hotels I stayed in in Rome and Paris. I would definately stay there again if I were ever to go back to Amsterdam. Read more

"Would stay again in a heartbeat!"
We very much enjoyed our stay--our room was lovely (when we arrived, we were told we were given an upgrade, so I'm not sure how big a "standard" room is), clean, and very comfortable. The location couldn't have been better--a 10 minute walk from the train station, and right in the middle of the main historical & shopping areas. We will definitely stay […] here again, and surely would recommend it to family & friends! Read more
"Inntel Hotel Amsterdam"
The hotel was very convenient to Centraal Station, so it was easy to walk with the suitcase to and from. It was close to everything I was interested in and was in a nice area. Also very close to the tram line and I recommend also the Kobe Japenese restaurant which was also very close and very good. The room and bed were small, but the room was very […] clean and nicely laid out. I definitely will stay here again on my return to Amsterdam. Read more

This hotel is in a great location, walking distance from everything and a wonderful, helpful staff. The doorman was the best, always attentive and smiling. This is the place to stay if you are going to Amsterdam.

"great spot"
went with a few guys for long weekend. Last three times we stayed at Renaissaince, but they were booked. Loved this place! Nicer than we expected, better location than we expected. Bathrooms were small, but not too bad. Bed insanely comfortable. Hotel bar small. People were very nice, but that's typical in that town.
"Couple days in amsterdam"
The hotel was very nice and right near all the major attractions in down town Amsterdam. The rooms were clean and service excellent. The staff can also be quite helpful when you have too much fun in Amsterdam.
"Close to main attractions AND the Central Station"
This hotel's location was terrific for me because of its proximity to the Central Station. I used the train to get from the airport to Amsterdam and vice versa. It's about a 7minute walk between the hotel and the train station. There are frequent trains and the trip doesn't take more than 20-25 minutes. This was a big deal for me because I left the […] hotel at 5:45am for the airport and there wasn't a whole lot going on in the way of public transportation that early in the morning. As far as proximity to main attractions, there's a tram (not train) station right by the hotel and attractions such as the Dam and the Museum District are only a short tram ride from the hotel. Also, I'd like to mention that there are canal tours leaving from the docks located right in front of the Central Station. Again, a 5-10 minute walk from the hotel will take you there. Last but not least, both my room and the rest of the hotel was clean and in good shape. I didn't get to try the breakfast so, I can't comment on it. I hope this helps! Read more

"Near the Action"
Just an alley way walk away from all of the downtown Amsterdam action. Surprisingly, it was not too loud in the room. Clean hotel with FREE INTERNET that worked very well.
Great hotel. Small rooms but defintiely adequate, modern and nicely decorated. Extra marks for a super comfy bed and nice bedding. We had a wonderful time and found the Staff very helpful. Loved the fireplace in the bar area, the availability of umbrellas to keep out of the rain and the restaurant recommendations (go to Humfreys next door). Great location, […] super hotel. Thank you! "A Good Hotel - Not A Great One"
This was my second stay in Amsterdam (I was previously there for several weeks so have a good feel for the city). The location of the hotel is great - a short walk from the main station and the Dam. The tram also stops right in front of the hotel. The front of the hotel, lobby and bar are modern and nice, but the rooms are average. Having just come […] from Paris I was hoping for a little more character. The hotel has an international human theme, so big life size photos of all walks of life are everywhere. I found it somewhat distracting to have to life size kids looking at me from above the bed. We thought the breakfast was included but ended up with a 70 Euro bill after 3 days. Great location, good neighborhood, nice square in front, average rooms. Read more

Great location. Convenient to all sites and many good restaurants around. Humphreys next door had good food and the coffee shop on the corner had great coffee!

I recommend this hotel with one reservation: the hotel staff seem to be willing to do certain things only if they can charge you. For example, we were allowed to check in a couple of hours early only by upgrading our room and getting charged an extra 15 euros per day. At checkout we had to pay an extra tax even though the hotels.com reservation indicated […] that the price we had payed in advance included the tax. This is the main reason I would be cautious about staying here. Read more

"Intel Hotel - Amsterdam"
Great little hotel. Staff was super and always willing to help with any problem or question. Room was very comfortable and clean. Location was great for easy access to transportation, shopping and sight-seeing. When I come back to visit Amsterdam again, I will definitely stay at this hotel.
"Great for a Young Couple - We loved Inntel"
My boyrfriend & I stayed at Inntel for 6 days/5 nights at the end of August. If I ever travel to Amsterdam again, I will most certainly stay here again. The hotel is in a perfect location. We were able to walk to all sorts of restaurants, bars, coffeeshops, Centraal Station, Dam Square, the red light district...It was wonderful. Plus, for the days […] that we wanted to venture a little further on the outskirts of the city, we were within a block in either direction to two different tram stations. The hotel staff was very helpful. Every staff member spoke English, so that helped out this couple from NY. The front desk always had 2-3 staff members available. They even helped to contact a local business to book a reservation for us. The housekeeping staff was very diligent & thorough. The room was very comfortable, especially for European standards. We also found it very helpful that in addition to the free wireless internet service available in our room, there were two computers in the hotel lounge that hotel guests can use free of charge. We were even able to print out our confirmations for reservations we had from the hotel's computers. It might not seem like much, but having the option of internet access was a wonderful way to stay in touch with home, instead of racking up crazy amounts of phone charges. The room's fridge was small but we simply removed the items that the hotel stocked (mini-bar, pay-as-you-take style) and we kept some bottles of water & snacks in there for ourselves. The bed was so comfortable after a full day of walking and indulging. We were able to get thorough night's sleep because the majority of the hotel does not face the busy streetfront. So while you are in the heart of the wonderful nightlife, you can still head in for an early night's rest. On the couple of lazy, rainy mornings that we had, we really appreciated having the option of having breakfast in the hotel (for a surcharge, of course). So we didn't have to worry about getting al Read more
"Great Place to Stay"
I had such a great stay at this hotel. To start, my flight arrived at 6:05am, and I arrived at the Hotel by 7:30am. I figured I would check my bags and start walking. Instead, I was very lucky and my room was ready early. Once checked in, the staff immediately offered me a map, and showed me all the places to see in Amsterdam. It was a welcome relief […] after 21 hours of flying. It is walking distance to everything you want to see. Heinekin Brewery is quite a walk, but doable. The room was nice, well kept, and exceeded my expectations. WiFi was free and kept a good connection. Upon checkout, I was able to walk to Amsterdam Centraal Train Station. Only a 5 minute walk. Overall, I loved my stay here and will stay here again if I am in Amsterdam again. Only thing I would not recommend is the breakfast. A little overpriced for choice foods, but nice if you do not want to leave the hotel for breakfast. Otherwise you will have a wonderful stay here. Read more
