Everyone at this hotel was friendly and went out of their way to be helpful. Ralph who runs the hotel vehicle was great. Restaurant and bar was very nice...had some very tasty pasta and Canadian beer! I would 100% recommend and will stay here again during my trips to Edmonton.

I stay in this hotel often. It is close to shopping and dining on the south side of Edmonton. Being close to the Whitemud also makes it convenient if you are going anywhere West in Edmonton. My Nephew had their wedding and reception at the Sawridge. Very nice overall. Rooms were really nice, clean and comfortable. Definitely I would stay again and recommend it. Check in/out was easy and overall a great stay.

It's nice and renovated. Decent breakfast buffer for 12$. Book direct and you can negociate the bf with the room. I stay numerous time at this hotel, but first time by booking with hotels.com. I didn't have the luxury to choose the room location. If you want to stay there, make sure you ask for the west side of the building. The trains make your room […] shaking and is pretty noisy all night. Not pedestrian friendly - no sidewalk because it's facing a freeway. There's Red Lobster and Olive's Garden close, but it's a hassle to get accross the freeway (worst in winter with the snow banks). Great Free Shuttle service if the driver is not sick...if you complain they might give you a discount on the room for the taxi rate I had to pay for. Read more

I'd like to commend the housekeeping staff that they helpfully reminded us that our door was not closed properly when we were out. This hotel's service is definitely 5-stars. The one negative about the hotel is we stayed there two nights, the next day the cleaners did not change our glasses from the other night to clean glasses, the ice bucket was not empty, they did a rush job on cleaning, not impressed with that. Other then that we enjoyed our stay.

Booked the weekend summer sale rate and the stay was comfortable with excellent Internet acces which is an important feature nowadays when traveling. The bed is very comfortable and the microwave and fridge was provided quite promptly.

Even with the rain, the traffic, the tremendous amount of driving we did, we were able to relax in comfort at the Sawridge. We were treated well at the front desk, the bar was nice and quiet and the drinks were tasty. You will enjoy your stay.

The interior of the lobby was very nice looking with a large open atrium and plenty of wood. The buffet breakfast was just okay. The rooms were large and the beds were very comfortable. The bar area is very nice.

The hotel common areas have been recently redone and are quite nice. The room I was in had very old, beaten up furniture, but the room was clean and quite presentable. The train tracks are directly behind the hotel and trains go through all night long, wiggling the bed.

Had a couple of problems--burnt out lightbulb & failed batteries in remote--but staff attended immediately & cheerfully. Walking to restaurant/shopping a bit problematic since it sits on the "wrong" side of the highway. Quiet sleep in spite of train tracks to the rear of the property.

I left a much more expensive hotel in the city center to be closer to the airport. The Sawridge Inn lacked the pretense and parking charges. The manager, Sean, helped move my load of stuff to the room and then refused a tip! The wi-fi was free and easy and when my google maps let me down, the staff gave me directions to the many places I had to go. […] When my girlfriend expressed interest in purchasing a couple of their nice coffee cups, she was given new ones from the box...gratis. Service was great, breaky was great. Train startled me twice in the night, and literally scared me out of my bed. Woke up with a terrible knot in my back. May have been the bed, may have been me sleeping on a pillow.

First couple of nights were good. Room was great. Then came Friday and Saturday night and the live bands that you can here all too clearly from the inward facing rooms until 1:30 AM.

I book a double room with two queen beds for my mother and I. We liked the fact the beds were in what could be thought of as seperate rooms. The bathroom was clean and roomy. After a day of walking the West Edmonton Mall the deep tube was very nice to use. Even though we were only there one night the micorwave and fridge were nice to have. The only […] problem I had with the room was lack of plug ins for the features. To plug in either the coffee pot or the microwave, you had to either unplug your bedside lamp or the fridge. As it was I had to plug in my laptop after unpluging the beside lamp. Otherwise the beds were comfortable and clean. On the whole the experience was a pleasant one. While I found the furniture and decor in the rooms to be outdated, it was very comfortable, big, spacious and the entry way/lobby was out of this world. They recently renovated and it's beautiful.
