The hotel was well located just off Avenue Diagonal so it was very easy to hop on the sightseeing buses or walk. The breakfast buffet was very good and we enjoyed dining in the restaurant one evening. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom very clean and modern. Great value.

The hotel basically is located between Park Guell and the gothic neighborhood. Because the hotel is not located right next to a major tourist attraction, we were able to enjoy the atmosphere of local neighborhood (restaurants and shopping). Access points for the bus and metro were very close to the hotel, so being in an neighborhood was not an inconvenience […] -- it was actually a plus! The room was comfortable and well-maintained. I really enjoyed this hotel. The room was very clean, comfortable and modern. My only thing, which is no fault of the hotel's, was the location. It was a solid walk to the metro. It is close enough to the tram to pick that up however you would have to make a few transfers to get to the sights. The section seemed a bit more residential and less touristy […] which we enjoyed. The employees were very nice and service in general was very nice. Two things I didn't like about the hotel: 1) it was rather far from the center of the city- it took me about 10 minutes to walk to the metro in order to take that into the city, and 2) they had rather limited food service (as in restaurant and room service) hours. For example, they didn't […] serve lunch/dinner some days and only started dinner at 8. In my opinion, they should have food service in the hotel during broader hours of the day because since it was a bit outside town, it was hard to find a restaurant that was open before 8 (because of the siesta) if I was too hungry to wait. I recently stayed in Hotel Zenit Barcelona with my boyfriend and we found it to be very enjoyable. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, and the rooms and hotel in general were very very clean! The rooms are small, and the beds were a little hard (and instead of a King size bed, we had 2 doubles pushed together - but I think that happens often […] in Europe - though we would have preferred one big bed). The location is about a 20 minute walk from the central tourist area (La Rambla area) but the walk to get there is very pleasant so we didn't mind it. Overall, really good stay at the hotel! The Hotel is clean and comfortable, but not too comfortable. The room, althought a double, was small and we barely had room to go around the bed. The neighborhood is outside the main tourist area, but loaded with shops and restaurants and cafes after dark. Central to the metro line and busses., we got to any area of the city with comfort.

Although a little farther out from many of the main attractions in Barcelona and from public transportation, I would recommend the hotel. If you dont mind staying a little bit away from most of the busy sections of the city, this is a great place. The room was great, very modern, clean and servicable. The staff was more than willing to help in any way they could and they spoke good English. There are a few very cute shops and cafe's close by so you dont have to go far if you don't want […] to. If you are expecting to be close to Las Rambla then this is not the place for you. But you can walk along the Diagonal Road and get to just about everywhere if you dont mind a walk. Walking around the city is what i recommend, because the city is very easy to navigate and its very scenic. You never know when you are going to round the corner and run into a gaudi building. Thing shut down between 5pm-8pm so if you want to eat around that time you will be hard pressed to find a place. Also on Sunday just about every shop in the area closes, so keep that in mind also. The hotel is located just north of the Diagonal so it's a great location outside the tourist masses but still within walking distance of all the attractions. It is very clean and streamlined with a professional and helpful staff. The rooms are very small and we unfortuantely had one of the court facing rooms so we didn't get a city view and the room […] did feel a bit stuffy and prison cell like. But it is quiet, very clean and has the basic amenities (no kettle for making a cup of tea or coffee though!). The bathroom is well designed and clean - but doesn't have a ventilator, so it was steamed up for a while after our showers which added to the aforementioned stuffiness of the room. We did not at any point during our visit, see people at the downstairs bar, so this is probably better suited for business people or tourists that just need a base to sleep when they're not exploring the beautiful city. We are very happy with our stay in this hotel. The room was very clean and was recently renovated. The room is fairly small in size but given the price and location, I am not complaining. The staff was very friendly and helpful. You can buy the double-decker tourist bus tickets at discount price at the front desk. It's a 15 minute walk from the nearest metro and less to the nearest bus so getting a metro pass is a good idea and will save you. The air conditioning was an absolute blessing to give relief from the August heat.
